With a growing middle class in Gaza, as indicated by all the new building that's been going on (water parks, malls, restaurants, food courts filled with a wide variety and an abundance of food, etc.). People get used to the good life, and it is the greatest enemy of groups like Hamas. The West Bank has always been ahead of Gaza in its economic development. Like I said in an earlier post, as some point, you will reach a tipping point (where people are not so willing to give up the good life for misery of a war) for the Arab people. Will they want to go back to war and conflict. As Abbas stated in July of this year, he is not willing to have the West Bank destroyed again. Abbas stated clearly no war, unless all the Arab countries want to join in and help the Palestinians fight and defeat the Israeli's. There may not be that resolve in the Arab world at this time. With the exceptions of Iran, Hamas ,Hezbollah...the most radical... even Lebanon and Syria the two most likely other countries that would join in, are not chomping at the bit for a war. They know both their countries infrastructures would be devastated. So the 50/50 chance is very realistic. Do the young people being raised now in a better life, want to go to war? Even with all the brainwashing at their schools, mosques, TV and radio stations. Will the young reject violence for a middle class life. Who knows? It's anyone's guess. Remember just 5-6 months ago we had the famous "Son Of Hamas" defection, from Gaza. He came out as the son of one of the founders of Hamas, to reject all the hate. He stated in his book, that the Israeli's care more about human life than Hamas. Could there be more like this young man to come?

How could anyone ever expect to hear anything besides nonsense from a puffy-eyed old drunk like Bill Clinton.

When did Bill Clinton get peace? There is exactly zero chance of peace because neither the US, Israel, or the Palestinians have changed. Nothing worked in the past and nothing will work now. If the US got sick and tired of Israel's breaking international law continually and put American soldiers on Israeli soil, there might be a chance of peace.

The more these "negotiations" move on, the more evident is the fact that nothing has changed: Palestinians still want Israel destroyed, either by violent means or "silently", through the "right of return" and by hijacking the Jewish Jerusalem as their capital, even though they never had any moral, historical or religious rights to it. Palestinians dream of kicking Jews into the sea never died and now, when they are facing the US request to actually SIGN on a document recognizing Israel, they expose their true intentions. Arafat publicly claimed that the Oslo accord is only the first stepping stone towards the destruction of Israel, and so will be each and every attempt to seek "peace" with the Palestinians. Let's face it: we are wasting our time. There will never be Peace in the Middle East for as long as the Palestinians seek our destruction. This is not up to Obama, not to Netanyahu. It is up to the Muslims to change their arrogant and violent ways, and since the chances of this to happen in our lifetime, and since we will never submit to Islam, the chances of a Peace in our times is ZERO. I say, let's prepare for the next conflict. There is not a question of when the conflict will happen - the question is when, for how long, and how bloody it will be this time.
