The situation with Russians in Israel and that of minority groups in the US is totally different. Per Bill Clinton's statement, why is that he believes the Russian immigrant is holding back the peace process. They have made Alyiia and now are Israel citizens. They are entitled to believe as they do and it is not wrong. Israel is the only one making concessions. I don't think the peace process is going well because almost all believe, due to the media, the Jews are always wrong. I an so sick of hearing of the Palestinians plight. Why don't there brothers Arabs/Muslims help them? They don't want them either.

i lived in Israel then too and there is no denying Israel has shifted quite significantly to right since. Judging by his remarks about Israel, Mr. Clinton reveals that he is hardly the expert that he considers himself to be. Were he to examine the history of the M.E. over the past 90 years he would see that even before 1948, Jews in Palestine were terrorized by the same people who are doing it today. Indeed, prior to that date, the Jewish inhabitants of the land were called 'Palestinians' while the Arabs here preferred to identify themselves as members of the larger Arab nation. Mr. Clinton should remember that during his administration the terrorist, Arafat, the leader most invited to the White House was also the one who refused the most generous (and most dangerous) offer for peace. It is time for Mr. Clinton and other American administrations to acknowledge that the real reason for the M.E. conflict is the unending goal of the Muslims to destroy the only democracy in the region, Israel, and proceed with their goal of eliminating other free nations using the same terrorist tactics to achieve a worldwide caliphate with sharia law. Unfortunately, Mr. Clinton does not get the whole picture but chooses to generalize about Israelis.
