The Israelites didn't ask the Arabs to invade Eretz Yisrael and make it their own, so how can anyone complain if we don't change its name according to the invader's wishes? It doesn't matter whether we agree with him or not. That is not the point. The fact is, Abdullah is correctly reading the PR of this situation. Before the "talks" started, I stated that both sides, the Israeli's and the Palestinians, would have people who oppose peace. That the Palestinians would kill, murder and fire rockets at civilians, that the Israeli "right", would threaten to build houses. I asked a simple question, which should cause more outrage? I believed that building of houses, would cause more worldwide outrage, than Palestinians killing people. I was unfortunately right. That is all King Abdullah is saying. To get the Iranians out of Israel's internal affairs, peace, would do that. He is right, period. It would also hurt Hezbollah and Hamas, who both only exist to destroy Israel. Both are backed by Iran with money and weapons. If peace breaks out the game is over for them. But they will go down swinging. The difference could be Fatah, Jordan and Egypt working with Israel, as they have have been recently, will hurt Hamas. Why do you think Hamas is secretly killing what they call traitors or collaborators in Gaza as I write this. Israel has hurt Hamas, even in Gaza. A peace deal is just another nail in the Hamas coffin. King Abdullah has the largest Palestinian population in the Middle East, and has much to lose. Also much to gain if there is a peace deal. Believe me the leaders of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and few others do not want Iran involved in what they consider Arab matters.

What Abdullah has been doing to promote peace is stripping jordanian citizenship from hundreds of palestinians. New refugees to go fight for the palestinian cause. Abdullahs father King Hussain did try to seriously promote peace, he even warned Golda that Egypt & Syria were planning to attack but she didn't believe him. The next generation of arab leaders Abdullah and Assad junior are both trying to revive pan arabism.. a cause that never did anything to help the region.
