1. What about kurds, armenians and christians
Dr.Ludwig ,   Belgium   (09.24.10)
Gul have to care first about kurd, armenians and christians in his own country.
2. Jerusalem-same fate as Medina Jews?
jayampathi de silva ,   seeduwa , sri lanka   (09.25.10)
The brutal slaughtering of Medina Jews population by Mohammedan forces in AD 615 could not repeat in Jerusalem !! Al_Aqsa was built on the ruins of the 2 Temple by a syrian king during our era. 1 temple was built by Solomon more than 4000 years ago , 2 by Serubbaabel and renovated by Herod during 1 century. killing of Medina Jews by the Mohamed himself is a red light to present situation in jerusalem. Problem is, Medina was a predominately a Jewish town around AD 615 and no one could hide the true facts!! But now its some one else town and Jews are forbidden to enter it!!!! What about the Jewish refugees of Medina? Any descender allowed back with compensation? Turkish are the former colonial masters of land of Israel and other area's. They did nothing to renovate religious sites at that time. i think Turkey has other ideas. Probably trade ,oil and manpower may be the main facts behind all these manures!!!! We could not allow things once happened to the wealthy Jews of Medina,to be repeated to the Jews of jerusalem!!!!
3. The Turks...
Linda ,   Poltava, Ukraine   (09.25.10)
... are adamant and persistent in looking for trouble. They didn't learn a lesson from the flotilla. I feel very sorry for the secular part of the Turkish society. Such a pity to watch a nation committing suicide.
4. gul/erdogan provocation
alexi   (09.25.10)
This islamic duo are now heating up israeli arabs to try to pressure israel to accept a binaitonal state of palestine. Thank you barak and fuadfor kissing turkey's rear end.
5. Time for Klal Yisrael to aid Kurds and Armenians
Adam   (09.25.10)
instead of being pathetic Jews being slapped and begging to be liked by antisemites. I'm tired of turning the other cheek.
6. Turkish Hypocrisy
Adam ,   London/Israel   (09.25.10)
Astonishing this President can make such comments with a track record like his Country has. I am sure many Turkish Nationals must be seriously questioning the current administrations ridiculous policies, I only hope they show this in the coming Turkish elections.
7. #1
Boz ,   UK   (09.25.10)
No idea. The subject is Ieael not kurdistan armenia or anywhere else
8. Tell Turks a PA State linked to an independent Kurdistan
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (09.25.10)
That and Turkey getting the hell out of its illegal occupation state of "Northern Cyprus". US sales of F-35s should be contingent on Turkey negotiating both of these in good faith. Turkey not out of Cyprus and Kurdistan by delivery date - no jets. Congress is already thinking along these lines unless Turkey shapes up its act in relations with Israel. There is no "Turkish vote" in the US, there is no USSR to worry about any more, no oil in Turkey, and with Turks moving closer to Iran, America can't count on them as an ally any more. 25 million peace-loving Kurds, who don't shoot rockets or suicide bomb or hijack airliners or attack the Olympics are looking like a better move for US efforts than one-tenth this number of endlessly violent, anti-American and irrational aid-sucking "palestinians", who we are as all fed up with over here as their Arab bretheren, who won't front them any more cash.
9. Israel should aid Turkish Kurds ;^P
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.25.10)
10. Threats from Gul
Max ,   Washington DC   (09.25.10)
Obviously President Obama's message to cool the attacks from Turkey on israel have fallen on deaf ears. Turkey is moving toward the axis of evil and away from Nato, Europe and the Free World.
11. They killed the Armenians, are killing the Kurds now. Israel
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (09.25.10)
should start funding and training the Kurds for self protection against the meddling turks that want to stir up trouble among the Israeli arabs.
12. Turkey an enemy
Matthias ,   Munich, Germany   (09.25.10)
"go back to Russia and for the refugees to come back". Sounds a lot like "go back to Auschwitz" and "habitat in the east". More proof for the islamoffacitic intensions of the turkish government needed? No place for Turkey in the NATO. No place in Europe.. Recognize this country as a member of the Axe of Evil.
13. fighting windmills.
(09.25.10)
yes let's protect the previously insignificant mosque from a non existent danger.
14. The Ottoman Empire was the guardian of the Holy Places
Cynic #2   (09.25.10)
The true Muslim grandchildren of Abdul Hamid feel that they have the moral and legal responsibility to redeem them from the 'infidels'. I suppose the Almighty has decided it is time to set the records straight and stand by his faithful believers.
15. Dr.Ludwig
Alistair ,   Scotland   (09.25.10)
What about kurds, armenians and christians ? I will try some hasbara style answer.America gives Israel over 2billion dollars when america itself has more homeless living on the sreets and out of cars than it did in the great depression.Should america give israel money when it would serve a stopgap for descent hadworking poor americans. Turkey has many intrests and will probably get round to other issues.
16. Turkey's support for Arabs...
DT ,   TA Israel   (09.25.10)
Re-location to Turkey and other Arab nations for those who make trouble would be "helpful " as suggested by Leiberman
17. Turkey's support of Israeli Arabs
Alex Lieberman-Aless ,   Houston, USA   (09.25.10)
Since Turkey's president has announced Turkey's support of Israeli Arabs and interfere with Israel's internal affairs, then Israel should openly support the national aspirations of the Kurds. The Kurds' origins are unknown and DNA testing reveals that they are the most closely related ethnicity of any other people in the world. I believe they are one of Israel's lost tribes, and should be supported by Israel militarily.
18. the Tmple mount was the property of the jews pior to islam
Galut ,   Selah   (09.25.10)
and according to jewish prophets of old will be again... in spite of all the bluster of islam... the koran never mentions a holy site in jerusalem... the Tanach mentions the jewish temple on the mount was mentioned 100s of times.... from my understanding it is very possible to build a temple without disturbing the Mosque...
19. Coincidence
olim hadashim ,   tel aviv/israel   (09.25.10)
Based on these comments from Gul one cannot help oneself to think that this flottila incident was a planned provocation from the turkish side.
20. #15 Bonnie Alistair
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (09.25.10)
Alaistair, you'd have made a good point if it weren't for most of that US$2 billion getting spent in in the US on military hardware, thus creating jobs for Americans that, in turn, contributes to their economy... ....didn't you know that?...Everyone else does....or is it "don't wanna know"?
21. ...1948 Revisited
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (09.25.10)
External powers interfering. Would the local Arabs in Israel '48 have relocated while the the Arab armies ' drove us into the sea'' if they'd known we'd would prevail? Most of the refugees never saw an Israeli soldier and hedged on an Arab victory. Well looked what happened! Sure, we have issues but Turkey is clearly trying to drive a big wedge between us and our Arab-Israeli population. What's more, the only thing the Al-Aksa Mosque needs protection from, is hostile Imams
22. Are we not witnessing here an attempt to interfere in the...
Asher Ben-Daniel   (09.25.10)
...internal affairs of another UN member state. If so, It is time to question all connection with Turkey - economic, military, political, cultural - and to block any such interference.
23. Turkish support for Arab incitement !
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (09.25.10)
24. Israel should start giving help to Kurds.
Arul   (09.25.10)
25. Delusional
John   (09.25.10)
All of these radical Muslims are delusional. Even when Jews were a minority in this land, they were the majority in Jerusalem. The city is mentioned over 600 times in the Torah, a book over a thousand years before the advent of Islam. It's not mentioned once in the Qur'an. Moreover, Arabs did not care about Jerusalem until the Jews returned to Israel. Seriously guys, people are not understanding how dangerous these radical Muslims are.
26. temple
Olavi ,   Espoo, Finland   (09.25.10)
Israelihas the right to build the temple. It has been there and it should be erected there on the Temple mount. The mosque there is annewcomer.
27. How would the Turks feel if Israel assisted the Kurds
Edmond ,   Paris, France   (09.25.10)
in their demand for national self-determination and independence? Will the Turks just accept such assistance as the natural course of human interaction? Will they attempt to put an end to it? Will they bring the matter to the UN perhaps?
28. Cynic # 2 - Your true face
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (09.25.10)
Are you saying that Jews are infidels? Jews were the first to believe in a one God creator of the universe. Christianity and Islam learned to be 'Fidels' from Jews. But you have shown your true face. You say Islam is the religion of peace and tolerance but you call all none Muslims infidel's not worthy of God's protection. There is no peace where there is Islam and as for tolerance: Why should Jews be tolerated? They should be respected. When you say tolerate what you are really saying is that you are better and they are bad but you tolerate the bad and this is your racism and bigotry. If you really want to be peaceful the first thing is that you must learn to respect your opponents and in this case the Jews. And if you consider yourself the grandchildren of Abdul Hamid be prepared to escape using an ambulance to a British destroyer out of Turkey. This is how Abdul Hamid run away from the great Kemal Ataturk. The educated and enlightened Turkish youth will not allow the likes of Abdul Hamid's take over and bring Sheria to Turkey.
29. refusal to recognize/agree to a Jewish state is arab-israeli
jae000@yahoo.com ,   lynn usa   (09.25.10)
leaders' downfall. intolerance and revisionism is not the path to truth to understanding to justice... let us bravely recognize the anti jewish views of these "leaders".
30. Cynic #2. Do you want a Jewish site built on top of Qaaba?
Jae ,   Lynn US   (09.25.10)
Then in good faith you should support the Islamic site built on top of the Jewish Temple. God is with understanding, justice and righteousness, he is not with needless hate murder and intolerance for Judaism. Get it? Gods Will always prevails in the end, beyond what man thinks it is, sometimes. Truth will conquer falsehood. which side are you on?
