These three elements amount to one thing: A total insult of three of Jewish people's most important symbols of renewed Jewish sovereignty in its ancestral homeland of Eretz Israel (Land of Israel) at the center of which is Jerusalem, also known as Zion. The practical translation: Obama, as Arafat and Abbas, can't bring himself to state clearly that he seeks an accommodation of peaceful coexistence between Arab and Jew, between the Muslim-Arab world and the nation-state of the Jewish people, Israel. He can't pronounce even the simple sentence: "two-states for two-peoples". (instead he calls for a "two-state solution"...).

It's bad enough that so many so-called Jewish leaders are shills for the Democratic Party but how can anyone criticise Obama's policies when the Israeli gov't. praises them? You know what's really funny, though? I read a lot of Conservative American blogs & they're more pro-Israel than our own media, certainly more truthful. Sadly, I think Jewish support for Obama will have more to do with his failed economic policies which will hit many Jews particularly hard. I consider myself very pro-israel, however when another nation ie. Israel or Israeli's bash my president I tend to support him more. Mainstream American Jewish support Israel as much as Chinese Americans support Communist China. You might have Aipac but Aipac's power is diminishing rapidly and the American people like to control there own destiny and not to be steered in one direction or another by lobbyist or another nation. Americans, the people who vote for Obama, do not care about Israel or Jewish problems. They care about Obama's failure on the economic front, his aggressive way of forcing his policies, his failure in confronting Iran, his failure in Afghanistan, his failure in handling the oil spill, and his vocal support for the Ground-Zero mosque contrasted with his silence regarding freedom of speech for Americans. I think you're mistaken, many Americans care very much about Israel, particularly Evangelical Christians, many Americans are better Zionists than a lot of Israelis I could name. Also, Jewish contributions to the Democrats are already way down. Otherwise, yes, you're correct, Americans will judge him by his performance, and it's been pretty dismal so far. This guy is a total failure on all fronts. It's not just that he's anti-Israel, the man isn't even pro-American. There will be a slow realignment in American Jewish politics - the Democrats are no longer the party of liberalism, they've morphed into the party of far-leftism. Jews loyalty is for the Jewish state and never to the US, even if they have never left the states. They should be given the loyalty test that FM Liberman wants the Arabs to take.

First off, the Democratic policies in the States are more in line with Jewish values than the Republican approach. Second, if the concern is for Jews in general (incl. Israel), then remember that many U.S. Jews are non-Orthodox, and are denied basic rights in Israel. So what good would it do the American Jews to vote Republican? Are religious Israeli Jews ready to pluralize their views toward Diasporic Jews? then we may consider your advice... but for now, we will not sacrifice our values...

President Hussein Obama has no problem denying a fellow Democratic state the basic right to live in homes. Israel does not have a lot of building space compared to the U.S. where was President Obama incondeming the Iranian government that opened fire on its own citizens? The President of the United Stares is the leader in Democracy for equal rights and pursuit of liberty. Anytime The President of the United states issues policies contrary to that basic premise. He should be called on it. America was never a "blind" Democracy=whatever an elected official does so be. There are plenty of americans in the west bank that are pursuing their dreams of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness and it is ironic that the president of the United States is doing all he can to deny even the most basic human right (housing). Israeli voters should only vote for Israeli politicians that support the USA. Your foreign policy should be subverted to support the USA and any Israeli leader that does not publicly pronounce loyalty to the USA should be run out on a rail.
