Is building in East Jerusalem more important than the security of the entire country? Is building more important than our children? Is it not obvious that freezing construction, is a politically, socially and economically positive move? Freezing construction places the Palestinians in a position of compromise, not Israel. It is the most potent bargaining asset we have. Squandering it, bickering over it, and allowing the Palestinians to use it, is bad politics. Peace will require sacrifice, but this is a small sacrifice, for such an important bargaining tool. It is past time to use it effectively.

East Jerusalem has been annexed and is a part of Israel. Any construction falls under Israel's absolute sovereign right of exercise of the principle of eminent domain. If the Arabs don't like it -- too bad.

And since when do women inherit property in the Arab world, anyway? Any living male relative has a greater claim to property ownership than any woman. My Dad from Akka,My Mom from Jerusalem, and my grandparents from Arabia came to Israel to the Jews to find work. Now we have to go back to our original ancestors in Arabia, because we are Arabs and this is not our land.
