1. Sorry Mr. Plocker.
Janice Cohen ,   ירושלים   (09.27.10)
There will be no horrors taking hold of anyone, because there will be no agreement to be horrified about.
2. Sorry, I'll have to pass on this one.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (09.27.10)
Normally, I would comment on this fine example of leftist rubbish but I'm out of patience for today. Would some kind sane soul please do the honours ?
3. Absolute Rubbish
Norman   (09.27.10)
We have seen all the dooms forcasters from Rabin Peres Begin Sharon Olmert etc . They gave up or wanted to give up land of Israel and they got in return Kasams and destruction in populated areas.

Your arrogance is unbelievable, your mentality is outstanding proof how Israel is going to its own demise by its own deeds.
5. Poorly Written - Simplistic, Infantile Analysis
Seth ,   Washington, DC   (09.27.10)
I respect well-written articles by people whom I disagree with. This article, however, would probably get a B+ if it was submitted to Middle School (6th-8th grade in U.S.)
6. blind trying to lead the seeing
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (09.27.10)
That Plotzker is blind to what goes around him does not make the rest of us blind. He tells how he and his friend Shohat did not realize that the Second Intifada was going to break out. That is funny, because everyone in the IDF noticed a "warming up" in Gaza, Judea and Samaria from July 2000, including rock and shooting attacks. Plotzker also ignores all the documentation found in Arafat's offices proving the the Second Intifada was a planned attack to convince Ehud Barak to make more concessions.

Barazani Benzvi ,   Woodland Hills, CA.,   (09.27.10)
Sever Plocker in his piece about current talks, and Obama's speech at the U.N. displays quite a sense of humor when he refers to Obama's UN speech as clearly Zionistic. Obama the Zionist? Sever. You're a funny guy!
8. Apparatchik Sever
Michael ,   Moscow, USA   (09.27.10)
Sever! Your passage about Obonga being a Zionist reminds me of my old country at the time of a ‘Great Stagnation’. In late 70-ies - just as you do it now – some middle-rank apparatchik would write a column in ‘Pravda’ newspaper that goes something like this: ‘Our Great Leader Leonid Ilyitch Brezhnev on his annual address to the Politbureau of CPSU emphasized the importance of …. Blah…blah…yada…yada’. Brezhnev was already senile and feeble, communist party has morphed into corrupt HR agency for the whole country, KGB managed all aspects of life and regular folks adopted the system and played along the rules. Same goes here. All you old soviet-style MAPAI party apparatchiks will be washed away by a tidal wave of Perestroika in Israel
9. What is the second intafada by comparison?
Steve   (09.27.10)
The second intifada, as horrific and murderous as it was, will look like child's play compared to the mass-slaughter of Jews should Israel withdraw from strategically critical Judea and Samaria. If the horror of a great national test has taken hold of PM Netanyahu, it is because he realizes what a fateful decision it would be for his people should he succumb to the demands of America's first Muslim-born president; a man with deep-seated antipathy for Israel's Jews. Why would a Jewish prime minister seek to build rare chemistry with a US president whose heart is with the ummah?

Mohammed, the 7th century founder of Islam, once signed a 10-year peace treaty with the enemy Arabian tribe of Koreish. However, after only two years into the treaty, Mohammed's military position improved whereupon he tore up this "Hudibiyya" (also spelled Khudaibiya) Agreement" and slaughtered the Koreishites. The Middle East today is littered with inter-Arab peace treaties, alliances and friendship accords, not one of which has ever prevented a war! This Law of Hudibiyya dates back to Muhammad and states clearly that "Muslims are permitted to LIE [click link] and break agreements with non-Muslims." According to this precept, Arabs view an enemy’s readiness for peace as a weakness to be exploited. Violation of any signed accord they sign with infidels (or even fellow Muslims!) is "business as usual" as soon as it becomes advantageous to do so. And so while Israeli negotiators go to great pains to dot every "i" and cross every "t" and footnote every minute detail [eg. the Camp David Israeli-Egyptian Peace Treaty and the Israeli-Palestinian Oslo Agreement] with the expectation that the document was as meaningful to their Arab negotiators as it was to them, the Arabs knew all along that their non-compliance would be tolerated! After all, it was their tradition to say anything AND sign anything, knowing full well that, by custom, culture and habit, that they could and usually DID walk away from treaties when it suited their purposes. This "strategy of phases" was first adopted by the PLO's National Council (Cairo, Egypt) in 1974 when it became obvious that an outright military defeat of Israel was unlikely. A policy of destruction of Israel in phases was approved by first establishing a small PLO state and then later completing the total destruction of Israel. This goal may be soon realized as Israel prepares to withdraw from portions of its ancient homeland in the name of "peace."

12. Totally smug & totally wrong. A typical leftist article.
Chaim   (09.28.10)
Another typical leftist article from Plocker. Totally smug and totally wrong. Plocker sees imaginary benefits in the madness of Israel ceding her heartland to her enemies. Plocker also fails to see the obvious dangers of trimming Israel to just 8 miles and allowing a new terror entity to arise in the heart of our sole tiny Homeland. What can one say? It's mindless pap.

Peter Israel is set to a standard that no other nation on earth has. Shall we examine the Czech Republic's human rights record? I am sure we can find things that neither you nor I would be proud of from the past. Israel has no intention of violating the rights of the Arab civilians living in Gaza or Judea and Sumaria and Israel defends the lives of it's citizens from Palestinian violence and terror attacks while upholding the human rights of Palestinians at times when they themselves disregard it, putting their own children in the line of fire. Shooting rockets from schools and hospitals. Recently Palestinian gun men entered Israel and shot 4 Jewish civilians and one of them was pregnant, where are their human rights? Let me guess that's cool in your book, as long as they are Jews? Please feel free to answer.
