1. A warning to Netanyahu
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (09.28.10)
Netanyahu is wavering. Is he strong enough to protect Israeli interests and stand by the Likud voters? Or, as many suspect, is he a spineless fool who will sell Israel out, betray the Likud voters and destroy the Likud for a photo opportunity. Lieberman's speech was a warning to Netanyahu. If Netanyahu adopts the rejected path of Ehud Barak, Israelis will discard Netanyahu and try to elect a real leader. Lieberman wants to be that leader.
2. Lieberman should be PM.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (09.28.10)
Look at this reaction from our craven, PC wimps. What an embarassment our politicians are, not a backbone in the whole bunch. Better yet, most of them know Lieberman makes a good point, they just don't have the courage to admit it.
3. Never be peace until.....
Dan ,   Titusville, FL   (09.28.10)
For 63 years Israel has been doing nothing other than making concession to the Palestinians and have been rewarded with increasing violence and terror. Gaza was unilatteraly returned to the Palestinians who immediatly destroyed the infrastructure left for them to develop an economy as well as having abandoned synagogues destroyed in a most vile and profane manner. There is no peace to be had and those that run around looking for peace are running a fools errand as the Palestinians are not serious about anything other than destroying Israel. Returning to the 1967 borders so that a Palestinian state dedicated to destroying Israel can be born is not only stupid but certainly a break from reality. The only solution is for the entire Arab world to make peace with Israel accepting its existence and reigning in Hamas & Hezbollah after which Israel & the Palestinians can have independent states living peacefully side by side.
4. Seems like Barak is acting more like Prime Minister than oth
Shame   (09.28.10)
ers.
5. WHO BELIEVES THIS BS ?
LAWRENCE RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (09.28.10)
It's the good old "Good cop Bad cop " routine .Probably ,Netanyahu is too scared of offending Hilarious Clinton and so insists on this charade.
6. How dare anyone disagree with Bibi!
Avi Steinson ,   Tel Aviv   (09.28.10)
It's too bad since Liberman's views represent the will of the people more accurately
7. The "opposition" (Kadima) is barely
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (09.28.10)
visible and non-mattering while the serious work is forwarded by Netanyahu and Lieberman.
8. If this is the case Netanyhu must fire him.
confused.   (09.28.10)
Disaggreements are debated within the goverement, when speaking in front of the world there must be ONE coorodinated and agreed upon position. This is suitable to kinden garden not Goverement.
9. I choose PM B...God bless Lieberman.
Shlomi ,   Tampa, FL   (09.28.10)
Liberman is offering is the only solution, everything else is smoking mirrors.
10. Sara B
Resistor   (09.28.10)
It appears that Israel also has 32 different voices, all talking different BS. Agree jewess?
11. Lieberman' speech.......
Wise Saba ,   Ma'agalim   (09.28.10)
Lieberman is the only one who is telling it like it is, he has no disillusions. Now if only Bibi had the guts to talk like that we would be better off.
12. Perez always saying things and no-one compains. But Lieberma
rebecca ,   Modiin   (09.28.10)
But Lieberman tells it like it is - not politically correctly according to the leftists, so he must be quiet
13. 2 - Perhaps so, but this can be decided by elections only.
Avi   (09.28.10)
As of right now there is ONE PM and ONE FM who suppose to represent and coordinate with the PM ONE Israeli position. Lieberman is a loose cannon, if he does not agree with the PM he needs to resign and push for new elections.
14. TWO PMs...
harvey ,   chadds ford pa   (09.28.10)
Israel is a TWO HEADED SNAKE... This will cause it to self destruct.. NO IRAN..NO Hizbulla..No hams...It will do itself in.....
15. Whatever Ehud B says or does is kosher
Marcel ,   Florida   (09.28.10)
Netanyahu is a fruad. If He was for real he would never have capitulated on Hebron during his first run as PM. . The first thing he would have done is remove Barak as DM on his second run as PM. He would have never courted the failed appeasers of Kadima to join his government as is doing again. He treats Likud loyalists with contempt
16. #9 SORRY TO CORRECT YOU BUT
LAWRENCE RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (09.28.10)
Surely you mean Smoke And Mirrors ? There is no such expression as Smoking Mirrors.
17. Kadima had its chance and so did labor
(09.28.10)
Loser do nothing parties. Labor has no right to talk of peace after Oslo catastrophe.
18. Lieberman's common sense
RayS ,   USA   (09.28.10)
Here is a case where the FM shows more sense and integrity than the PM..While Barak and Bibi fudge the issues, confusing friends and foes alike, Lieberman says it like it is . Israel needs this show of self respect ,courage andrecognition of the true facts of life.
19. Netanyahu is trying to walk a tightrope and likely to fall
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (09.28.10)
Netanyahu can not keep both Settlers and Quartet happy for much longer by staling and much choose a path. US/EU likely to start using real pressure after first of year if no progress made by then and Hamas and PA likely to rejoin before then since both are now in a corner. Lieberman likely believe that peace for land option should only be used when IDF not longer has an edge to win wars, which he hopes is never.
20. We the people are with Lieberman and not with the spineless
Karen   (09.28.10)
wimps Netanyahou & Barack!

24. Bibi is seranading obama the following tune....
Jimmy ,   Israel   (09.28.10)
I'm your Puppet. By Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrel
25. what Mickey Mouse PM
Jonathan ,   London, UK   (09.28.10)
doesn't know the content of a UN speech when international relations form such a massive part of the countries ability to maintain its standing. What Mickey Mouse PM would continue to tolerate a FM, whose likely place is prison, to promote his own agenda and not that of the entire country. Perhaps it has to get to this dire situation where either the entire government falls, or someone forms a coalition that can look after the country and not their own self interest. We continue to live in hope...
26. ha ha ha........ :)))
Salma ,   Palestine   (09.28.10)
with no doubt Lieberman represents honololo!!
27. heading the talks
colin   (09.28.10)
If Bibi would tell the truth,.stop the twisted falsehoods and talk straight like AVIGDOR LIEBERMAN Israeli will show respect Bib will sell he country to keep his seat LIEBERMAN WILL BE THE NEXT PRIME MINISTER The groveling of Bibi to the islamic american president makes people vomot.
28. Lieberman will become PM
Y'allah Y'allah ,   Arab Occupied Europe   (09.28.10)
Arabs, be prepared for someone who truly understands your tricks.
29. barak on lieberman
alexi   (09.28.10)
Barak criticizes lieberman saying he plays into enemies hands. On the contrary, Liberman gives israel leverage because his plan scares the arabs especially israeli arabs so they may want to cut a deal with israel. Barak has not much of a record to support his ideas-1-2 thousand israelis died since his camp david sellout. His pullout from lebanon was chaotic and weak. olmert says he opposed the syrian nuclear hit. He did nothing, zilch against west bank terror. And finally, his orders on paintball guns got israelis lynchedon the marmora . The ensuing report by the UN is filled withlies but who cares. The deck is stacked against israel. The arabs do not know what to make of lieberman. they are afraid of him and well they should be. And kadima experssing outrage at yvette is a bit much since they sat there like a collection of cowards while olmert outdid chamberlain in his concessions. As moshe dann pointed out, barak is a failure and his comments are generally a waste of air.
30. I fully support Bibi.
Dan the Jafa ,   Auckland,Aotearoa   (09.28.10)
He will make an excellent FM in Lieberman's government.
