31. What kind of Yahoo/Crazy government !!!
Rob ,   Orangevale USA   (09.28.10)
What the... Who the... Are you serious! And this helps how? We have more organized little league baseball teams!! (10 yr olds! ) I guess the truth is, that the Israeli govt should put on the gloves and fight out what the hell they want of themselves, amongst themselves, THEN go about explaining it to what must be nearing ZILLIONS of confused people! If these are "confusion tactics, well, you are the grand masters. Please help.
32. Who is delusional
Amram ,   Toronto Canad   (09.28.10)
Thos who believe that peace can be achieved between Israel and the Arab within a year - or a decade, have no idea what ths situation is. They may sign another piece of paper, meaning that the PLO will get a little more than what it got with the Oslo accords - and as usual give NOTHING in return. But that is about all. Israelis still have to live with neighbors who want to kill them. Peace is when the Arabs stop hating the Jews. If the Arabs now stop teaching hatred to their children, then maybe 2 or 3 generations from now, there could be peace.
33. barak is delusional
george ,   ashdod   (09.28.10)
Lieberman was exactly right. A generation of Palestinian kids have been taught to hate Israel. It will take a generation to change that. Only after that will true peace be reached.
34. ...please explain to me...
jonathan ,   London, UK   (09.28.10)
If the foreign ministers comments do not represent those of the government, why is he actually foreign minister?? someone please explain to me. I do not understand.
35. 22 talkbacks here do not represent sane israelis
confused   (09.28.10)
they represent the radical fringe, as does fox in the usa.
36. Barak as you know the game . . .
AlbertoGA ,   St. George, USA   (09.28.10)
" No Deals " With the Arab Terrorist
37. Dan, Titusville #3: Please, speak for yourself
Steve   (09.28.10)
Thank God the "Palestinians" are not serious about peace, if that is the way you want to characterize it. Even if the entire Arab world should make peace with Israel, accepting her existence and reigning in Hamas and Hezbollah, etc., the land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel. It is not for sale. The Arabs have plenty of independent states. A lack of one more independent Arab state is not the problem.
38. Reminds me of Jerusalem mayor trying to meet with Obama :)
Ali ,   Washington, DC   (09.28.10)
39. Lieberman is realistic. The left claims
Michael   (09.28.10)
we have to make peace due to demographics. Well, it makes sense to include the settlers in the state of Isarel and included the arabs in an arab state. How is Israel going to maintain the demogeaphic advantage with 1.4 million arabs ? Why is perfectly acceptable to throw out 220,000 jews from their homes and a facist idea to suggest the same towards the arabs? which party maintains a delusional approach?!
40. #25 ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN
LAWRENCE RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (09.28.10)
This is all fun and games ,smoke and mirrors .Netanyahu , Barak and Lieberman are all in this together ,all are friends and they agree .They simply pretend to disagree : good cop ,bad cop .And they manage to fool some of the people some of the time .
41. Lieberman's departure may take days
(09.28.10)
42. How about 2 PMs -Yishai and secular, dedicated&REAL rightist
Smartman   (09.28.10)
43. OF COURSE THE SPEECH WAS
LAWRENCE RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (09.28.10)
Co-ordinated with the Prime Ministers' office .Please don't take us all for fools .Netanyahu is scared to admit he agrees with Lieberman .
44. Lieberman's UN speech
Oskar Prager ,   Petach Tikva   (09.28.10)
Lieberman tells the UN and the Israeli public exactly how things stand vis-a-vis the Palestinians. He does not mince his words, speaks plainly and forcefully. About time that MK Braverman and the two Ehuds took notice. If Netanyahu thinks he can hoodwink the Israeli public then woe to him - neither he nor the Likud will survive.
45. Outrageous!
Matityahu ,   Slovenia   (09.28.10)
Lieberman, don't you ever say the truth again. Barak and the rest of the world won't stand it.
46. confused #35: Let me explain
Steve   (09.29.10)
Only the radical fringe views normal and reasonable, sane, thinking people as representative of the radical fringe. It is a matter of perspective. That is why the radical fringe is confused.
47. Dan in a way you are right, but? Why not also put the>>
Stephen ,   Albany/USA   (09.29.10)
Firstly let me say:BB is fighting his daemons..And he is surrounded by many of them. But we'll have to waitand see. Also put the blame on the Americans(not that they were involved with Israel for the 63 years). They have involved themselves only relatively recently. The problem with Israeli leaders(apart from Begin and Shamir) the latter would not give in to any of them, had the capacity to ignore them all with equanimity. He had no scandals attached at all.Straight as a dye, a no nosense man who was embarrased by acolades showered upon him.A very private person altogether.. As for Begin:Have you read how HE stood up to Washington in an uncompromizing way, during Reagan's tenure? telling them all exactly how he felt with their treatment toward Israel. He was a doer, and a giver. But at the end he made peace with Sadat who was the only Egyptian Premier who came to Jerusalem with all the pomp and circumstance. That was then, this is now. Sadat paid with his life for doing so. Look at Mubarak's behaviour who has not acted with equanimity since Israel returned the Sinai back. Were Begin to see what is transpiring now,he'd be horrified thus may wish never to surrendered the Sinai. Now there is Netanyahu who is being badgered by the US administration(not only BHO),but fromall the previous Presidents excluding Truman. That too was a long time ago which coincided with the Holocaust, being a good Christian etc,. Now?they are all out to suck the bloodof Israel. Why i cannot understand because they gain nothing, except their allegiance to the oil rich Arabs they have to pacify, follow their wishes I find disgraceful. Israel needs a Lieberman type to deal openly as Begin did at the time. The article of theat period s available and you can read it. Lieberman and Ayalon and a few more of their type is needed to stand up to the bullying Israel receives from those quarters. Am I wasting my time or what. One major factor which I abhore is: Seeing Barak acting like a Uriah Heep in every photo'op as the one up there. Gee,he was an admirable General. Once the retire from the military, they cannot wait to become PM's.. Sharon was the same.I remember reading how Begin told him:Be patient, you are still young you will be PM sooner than you think etc, etc. That's how anxious the lot of them are. Why? Barak became PM,and during his tenure he nearlly sold the country down the river jeez look at him. A hghly educated man.His brain? seeng him up there(other places too) smiling like chechire cat to that truky bastard Michell. What a doofus? Fed-up with the lot of them. And the so-called Pals? laughing all the way to the BANK and the world swallows all for their being poor suffering idiotic blood sucking cancerous oh so poor, what a shame? oh dear oh buggar cringe making fools the whole world has fallen into their fairy tales..or have they? Me-thinks not really, but if needs must, they all sell their mothers to please the beggars extraordinair called Fakestinians like the whores they are.ie Eurabians all,and the Islamofascists who left ther brothers to fester in camps throughout the decades treting them as pawns. I am not omly furious, but I could take A LETHAL WEAPON AND DISPATCH THE LOT RICH SHEIKS TO SMITEREENS for the trroubles and suffering they caused not only to these unfortunate people,BUT to Israel as well all of the 63+years
48. Labor is disappearing but it can't happen fast enough.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.29.10)
Israeli voting patterns show that the vast majority of us are fed up with Labor. We're fed up with it's mindless appeasement of our enemies. We're fed up with it undermining our ministers. We're fed up with it, period. Recent polls show Labor would be lucky to win 7 seats in an election today. Labor is, thankfully, disappearing. However, it can't happen fast enough.
49. LIEBERMAN IS WAITING FOR MASHIACH TO HANDLE THE PROBLEMS
...........DACON9   (09.29.10)
this is why he said it could take decades EHUD BARAK IS WAITING TO BE PRIME MINISTER TO GIVE AWAY THE REST OF ISRAEL plaing into any hands that will blow him some kisses. BIBI IS TAKING AN OPINION POLL TO INSURE HIM TO STAY IN OFFICE SOMEWHERE OUT THERE WILL BE A NEW JEWISH LEADER THAT WILL TAKE CONTROL PLACE YOUR BETS... I BET ON HASHEM SECRETS TO BE REVEAL WHEN IT WILL BE REVEALED
50. To all here:Just sent a long response to Dan@.YNET PRINTHIS!
Stephen ,   Albany/USA   (09.29.10)
More over, the ones who think Barak is doing fine I think you need your heads examined. Barak was a good soldier/Genral full stop time has come for him to be put to pasture firstly because he is not helping neither should BB keep him in his cabinet as he reresents Labor NOT Netantahu's party. Secondly everytime I see his picture the fawning to that Lebanese Mitchell the bastard, makes my blood boil.Barak loos just like Uriah Heep with the begging look/actions toward the so-called friend America. As an American I cringe seeing him making Israel look almost as bad as the beggarly Pals. And the assumption of:" good cop bad cop is a fantasy. The one who is really worthy of notice is none other than Lieberman.H does nit mince his words is straight as a dye which is what they should all react and behave to the BULLIESwho are trying it on Israel.

52. LIBERMAN IS THE KING...
DR SHAKSHUKA ,   TA   (09.29.10)
53. Liebermann is 200% right !
Jaacov Baumann   (09.29.10)
Israel should carefully choose its ledership - its about live and death ! Look at Barak as politician : one failure after the other - look at Olmert.... ! Liebermann speaks straight and reasonable which is the only way for Israel to deal with reality! Wishful thinking and acting certainly leads to failure, which Israel cannot afford !
54. Are you kidding me?
Naor ,   USA   (09.29.10)
Lieberman is the one and only Israeli seeming to make sense these days. If anyone doesn't represent anything, it is Barak! Lieberman is the only Israeli politician to offer any realistic solution to our conflict. Bib's demand for a "peaceful and de-militarized" Palestinian state will never come to fruition. They will only used said state to continue their war against the State of Israel. The crazy Leftists who favor returning all the captured land back to the Palestinians unconditionally are delusional and will lead to our destruction. The ultra right who want to evict all the Arabs from Judea and Samaria and claim it for themselves are just as delusional, no Israeli leader has the chutzpah to pull such a move that would lead to Israel's international isolation. Yep, the only one seeming to make any sense at all today is Lieberman, and he will be receiving my first vote as an Israeli citizen!
55. #26 - you can laugh all away to the border of Saudi Arabia

56. all we need is a strong defense
pini ,   usa   (09.29.10)
and we will never have to give in to the pallys and their pathetic threats.
57. Lieberman
dave ,   Bet Shemesh   (09.29.10)
Once again, even though I believe in some of Lieberman's views, he has proven that he nothing but the primitive uneducvated thug he's always been. We who live in Israel kn ow that his speech at the UN has nothing to do with Israel's plans rather it was meant to be a slap in Netanyahu's face for not consulting him when they spoke with Turkey behind Lieberman's back and not consulting with him after the Flotilla affair. Lieberman even immaturely stated then in public...".I will get back at Netanyahu at a time of my choosing." Well it looks like he's chosen that moment. Once again we the Israeli public have to suffer the infighting of our leaders. What Lieberman has done is get back at Netanyahu not proclaim the stregnth and determination of the State. Lieberman started off as a bouncer at a nightclub and he has strong armed his way to the top. One has to ask how did he really climb the political ladder. The sooner they dump him as FM the better off we'll all be. I'm a right winger but I don't want a thug presenting my views.
58. Barak is the ENEMY!!!!!! we the people are with Liberman!!!!
period   (09.29.10)
59. ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL!!!!!
Jonathan ,   London/ Israel   (09.29.10)
That this rogue foreign minister was allowed a) to even make the speech at the UN and b) that the content was not vetted to ensure that it reflected the views of the country and not an individual. Absolute shame on Bibi for once again making a fool of Israel.
60. no.46
