A better idea would be to infect Syrias systems with the Stuxnet computer virus. That will annoy the hell out of Assad. He can shoot at jets & tanks, he has new anti ship missiles and non of it is any good against a computer virus. Instead of being an arab hero like his father was considered to be all he can do is sit back and shout and scream as his computer systems are infected. Israel's main military edge is air power and threat of nukes, while it has a lot of good tanks, they are limited without air control and better trained troops also have limits against numbers if generals are not too stupid. Many Arab/Muslim countries are now less willing to buy older second rate air craft or limited defense systems. Russia, China or even EU could quickly change the playing field in ME in the arms race that seems to be coming over next 10 to 15yrs. Iran and India are also wild card in many way since both are working hard to build their own cutting edge weapons with outside help.
