Historically it is obvious that it's impossible to enter into any sort of negotiations with another country if the leader of that country does not have any real power. In case of Abbas we have a NOBODY. Any peace talks with him are destined to fail. In order to make a real progress he will have to make concessions. That inevitably will cause uprising among radicals. He will need to be able to either to persuade them or deal with them with force. I don't see it happening.
