Everyone already knows that the Palestinians cannot even make peace between themselves and nobody really trusts them or cares any longer what happens to them. They are still Arabs and as long as Israel exists and as long as there is a Jewish presence in Israel, there will be conflict. James you seem to forget that all land West of the Jordan River is Israel according to the UN charter. Thus there is no illegal activity going on in the area. Even the peace treaty with Jordan dose not call the area occupied. There has never been a Palestinian people nor country, but Israel is willing to let the Jordanian and Egyptian Arabs have their own country in exchange for peace. But after years of giving them "incentives" to talk peace and getting nothing in return, if Obama wants Israel to act to give up its land then he can guarantee that Israel will not loose from the process when the Palestinians once again turn down a good offer.
