1. I have seen this before, many people who
ghostq   (10.10.10)
lost their children cope with the grif this way, in attempt to make sense of the pain, BUT if he hadn't lost his child he would probably be a right winger and big support of the blokade, personal pain make people do weird crazy things, so I don't think this is the right source to show good will, suddenly many of them opening charity foundations, in hope of healling their own personal pain, sad very sad indeed.
2. Many thanks to Mr. Buma Inbar
Cynic #2   (10.10.10)
May there be many more like him, he is a true Jew, he understands human suffering. He is the kind of person that Palestinians can make peace with, not the Liebermans, not the Goldsteins. One point of observation: it seems that cancer is on the rise in gaza especially amongst children, does anyone have a clue? Very reminiscent of Iraq.
3. A good man
Chaya ,   Tel Aviv   (10.10.10)
This is something the world doesn't know about - that we take care of sick children from Gaza.
4. Mr. Inbar, believe in tomorrow
Salma ,   Palestine   (10.10.10)
I'm so sorry for the precious loss of your son, you're a good father....but bad leaders don't like good fathers !! cancer is awful, terrible disease In normal circumstances to any human being, how much more if this human is under siege from all sides . I hope you can bring some attention to cancer cuz it truly breaks your heart into to watch someone slowly wither away. my respect for you and for real doctors.
5. #1: Who are you to say what his man would "probably be"?
ayelelt ,   israel   (10.10.10)
You don't know him at all. As for Mr. Inbar, kol ha'kavod. Am so sorry for your loss but so proud of you for what you are doing.
6. example of true humanity
ali ,   los angeles   (10.10.10)
If all Israelis had this kind of compassion there would be no need for two states. Two people one nation living together side by side. It makes me wonder, why people like him do not choose to become leaders. Israeli's and Palestinians could use leaders like him.
7. If all Israelis like Mr. Buma Inbar, peace and love all over
Mohamed ,   Gaza   (10.10.10)
8.  Compasion
Ricardo Macher ,   Karnei Shomron IL   (10.10.10)
All the talk backs care about Mr. Inbar who no doubt is a good man. No matter why he does this "chesed" the important thing is that he does it, so don't play stupid games saying if he was not bereaved. Also it's important to notice that we have no obligation to take care of our enemy's children, we do it because we are rightful. It's very sad that after receiving treatment, help and tenderness in our hospitals they still talk badly about us, that is exactly what makes other people think twice before helping, if you bite the hand that feeds you, you cannot expect to be trusted!
9. A sadly forgotten war
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (10.10.10)
That dreaded disease knows no borders, and destroys the lives of more families each year. Inbar's acts are understandable considered the pain he had to endure himself, and the need to cope with it. It's a shame that Gazans caught in the middle, along with much of the free 'enlightened' world, wish to blame Israel for its blockade. There is a clear distinction between intended acts of destruction and intended acts of mercy. I give Inbar credit for demonstrating to an uncaring biased world, that compassion for a righteous cause is far more prevalent amongst Israelis then all their hypocrites put together.
10. #1 disgusting comment
observer   (10.10.10)
Charles is showing his true colours as a humanist. Accusing someone he has never met of what he considers to be the worst crime against humanity.
11. Kol HaKavod! May Mr. Inbar's actions be for a blessing!
(10.10.10)
12. to #5 cause I meet a british guy who lost his son
ghostq   (10.10.10)
in the army and now he is pro pali, he even went to protest against Idf soldiers in Gaza. that is y, if the guy did it without losing son than I would believe him more, but this is just a way to cope with pain and not realy to help anyone. you be surprised to know what personal pain and lost can make people do. I have seen the dark side of it before.
13. No obligaton, but....
F ,   A'dam,TheNetherlands   (10.10.10)
True, you are not obliged to help your enemies. But this was always the jewish spirit and values which I respected. Those acts made your people respected to many civilized people... you should be proud!!!
14. What would Al Jazira say about this.
Eran ,   Singapore   (10.10.10)
Oh no, they would keep silence cause it harms the Pal cause and do not demonize Israelis. This shows how Israeli compassion is way ahed of the Pal compassion.
15. I looks like ...
Linda ,   Poltava, Ukraine   (10.10.10)
... the Hamas Judgement Day is coming, and Israel is preparing to deal with the problems of almost 2 mln. people - hostile, biased, and most importantly: abandoned by their fellow Arabs.
16. bereaved father helps Gazan ill
evakatz ,   Zichron, Israel   (10.10.10)
I am so proud that there are some true patriots, such as you. Wish I could help, too, though I leave in Zichron! Yeshar Koach
17. :: We need more people like Inbar...
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (10.10.10)
...on both sides. Let his actions and humanity be an example to all.
18. to #17 dude, let me translate what you just said
ghostq   (10.10.10)
"we need more breved fathers from boths side, they lost their sond snd despite that they help the other side" you dumb dumb y you want more breved fatheres is beyond me, don't you think live and very well people is preferable, BUT there is one problem, the last time pali ever helped Israeli was NEVER.
19. "Ask me when we have electricity and water"
Ariella ,   Jerusalem   (10.10.10)
I am feeling a little confused over the article. I feel that if Gazans would spend less time on worrying about where to store their rockets and where to fire them from and which children (if they are even so selective) they would like to use as human shields and more time training doctors and providing funding for hospitals as apposed to luxury malls maybe Gaza could get off the ground and make something of themselves instead of blaming Israel for their downfall. The comment above "Ask me when..." also bothers me as Gaza has run up millions of Shekels of Electricity and Water bills that Israelis have paid for till now and when we finally stop and say "we cannot provide these things for free" we are suddenly demonized AGAIN. Would she really love Israelis more if she had water and electricity? It sure didnt seem like they were "Israeli Lovers" before when they DID receive these ameneties FREE of charge. No one likes seeing a sick child and having lost a son himself the grief must be so intense - my heartfelt sympathies go out to this poor deluded man. For me, I believe that MY family comes first - that means all of Am Yisrael. Not their murderers and their next murdering generation. There seems to be plenty of money for other things in Gaza, though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxaDmAyt84g
20. nr. 13
Eva ,   Jerusalem   (10.10.10)
Thank you mr. F! But those acts the Dutch Media will NEVER show or tell to the people in Holland! They are so very ANTI Israel, we see it almost every day in the Dutch newspapers and on the Dutch tv chanels..
21. begging the question
tom ,   toronto, canada   (10.10.10)
this story begs the entire question of islamist hatred. time and again, israelis reach out and provide compassionate assistance to arabs, and receive only hatred in return. even the news media plays into this, by blaming israel when it puts security concerns ahead of "good deeds", even when those "good deeds" have been abused, such as the pregnant woman who attempted to detonate an explosive vest in an israeli hospital. i don't know of a single case of an israeli receiving medical care in an arab hospital, or of a wounded israeli soldier being treated ahead of arab casualties. but we have all seen the mob murder of israelis who dared to make a wrong turn and wander into an arab town. at the centre of this article is hamas' hatred, which trumps their caring for their own children, because who would not choose the best available hospital to treat their children, and their indoctrination that teaches a child to put hatred ahead of gratitude to the very people who saved her life? hamas is just a political movement representing radical islam. as such it shows us the ugly face of a cult of hatred and death. i, for one, doubt that a kind word or a kind gesture will change anything. clearly, in the case of the girl in the story, it is already too late.
22. #20 can't u tell? #13 gave up his Israeli citizenship
(10.10.10)
and now post haste he's discovered that we Israeli's aren't all that bad. Oh! thank you very much! F, yours was just the confirmation we were all waiting for! Really we all feel better already! thank you!
23. Bereaved
Michael Pielet ,   Boca, usa   (10.10.10)
First the arabs murder his son, then the father murders his son a second time by aiding the arabs who have no respect for the Jews and their right to sovereignity. Only a jew would do this. How many arabs would help a jew under any circumstances. If he really wants to help the arabs encourage them to be repatriated to one of the 22 arab states were they originiated. Good idea if he left with his arab friends.
24. Would Arabs help Jews the same way?
andy ,   orlando,u.s   (10.10.10)
25. Heartwarming story ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.10.10)
I wonder if Arabs would treat Jews with the same degree of compassion. Somehow, I doubt it.
26. Inbar
us_exceptionalist   (10.10.10)
Sorry, ghostq is right. This is a tragic story. The fact that Inbar has actually convinced himself that his son would be proud of him giving aid and comfort to the enemy that murdered him is just one indication of how deluded this poor man is. Gaza is ruled by Islamist thugs sworn to the destruction of Israel and the Jews. They justify murdering Israeli children in strollers because they will grow up to be Israeli soldiers. What does Inbar think the Gazan children he is helping will grow up to be under Hamas? Better he should get treatment for his severe case of Oslo Syndrome and instead volunteer for Meir Panim.
27. What did he and Tel Avivians do for Sderot?
Cowboy Joe ,   Calgary, Canada   (10.10.10)
What did he and Tel Avivians do for the poor children of Sderot during the eight years of bombardment.. Guess what ? - NOTHING!
28. it's a way to pay back the stolen land where he is living
Amira ,   Canada   (10.10.10)
and every Israeli should tone, ask Palestinian victims for forgiveness, compensate them and their generation after generation for all the crimes committed.
29. Not all Isralies are full of hate, People need to know
Abu Justice ,   lincoln vt usa   (10.10.10)
I admire this man, who chose compassion over hatred, may he inspire others. People need to know
