Amih'ai ,   Yesha   (10.06.10)

5. The war that changed the concept the chosen children of ...
Egyptian   (10.06.10)
6. BETTER TO LOSE THOUSANDS
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (10.06.10)
Preferable to lose thousands of israeli lives rather than offend the antisemitic world and have them call us 'aggressors." Another example of criminal stupidity and cruelty by the one eyed twit and the old bag Golda.
7. We haven't learned a thing.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (10.06.10)
We're still doing exactly the same thing, we sit & wait, make rationalizations, lots of double-talk & no common sense, willing to sacrifice lives because of ''international opinion'' that blames us anyway, we are without a doubt the stupidest people on Earth.
8. Interesting
John   (10.06.10)
This always was an interesting war to me. The Arabs attack on the holiest day in Judaism - manages to somehow lose the war - and then blames Israel and America...even though Soviets actually fought in this war on the side of the Arabs. Then the Arabs purposefully cause a major oil crisis in the West. It's true we shouldn't care what the world thinks because whether we are right or wrong in doing something, we will always be blamed.
9. Dado, Who's Your Daddy?
El Sadat   (10.06.10)
10. OUR FINE LEADERS
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (10.06.10)
Once again one can see the failed vision of our secular Zionists, who so desperately want to be part of the nations. The fact that thousands died and many untold got hurt for live (my neighbor sits in a wheelchair since 1973 due to a bullet in the head) has no significance for these fine leaders. They keep writing their Zionist history over our dead bodies. And nothing has changed, with the ongoing appeasement and bending over to an enemy that desires our demise. Meanwhile as a bunch of fools many keep on relying on a corrupt and delusional state, that does not have any interest in our survival nor well being. This constant sick behavior of wanting to be accepted by the world is rooted in the Atheist Zionist ideology and will bring us more bloodshed and pain, but knowing our leaders, they have little care about that.
11. Yom Kippur War
Jonathan Kendal ,   London   (10.06.10)
With the publication of these papers, I can now reveal that Israel knew about the possibility of a preemptive strike at least two days before war broke out. In that time Israel marshalled a long standing plan to use the expertise and assistance of non Israelis in targetting the Syrian commanders after war broke out. Specifically a group of senior ex Vietnam American war veterans (who had volunteered to assist Israel post their return from Vietnam) commanded an elite group of Israelis that attacked and wiped out the Syrian command and control leadership on the Golan Heights in the early part of the war. This is the real reason the Syrian tanks came to a halt on the Heights after meeting their initial objectives. The Syrians fought under a fixed Russian battle plan and were not able to develop their initial success due to the loss of their commanders. The specific details to undertake this action were finalised whilst the veterans were in the air between the USA and Israel. The veterans then went straight into battle upon arrival in Israel. I look forward to the release of the papers covering Yitzhak Rabin's provocative (and potentially undemocratic) role at the end of the YK War in fomenting unrest amongst certain Israeli Generals against the Israeli government.
12. LESSONS FROM THE TORAH
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (10.06.10)
"If someone is coming to kill you , rise and kill him first " (but one could not expect Dayan and Golda to know Torah)
13. The Mistake
Brod ,   USA   (10.06.10)
The mistake was thinking about what the world would think rather than saving Jewish lives. The fact is it does not matter what the world thinks. You don't wait to be butchered before you act to prevent the butchery. You preempt the evil forces. This is what makes the 1967War a great success. It preempts the enemies within such a short time-6 days, and thus saving the lives of thousands of people.
14. #11
Dennis ,   Usa   (10.06.10)
So, "you can now reveal" Sounds like a bunch of crap I happen to know, or think I know I was former ROTC who offered to help and was given a purely civilian role..where's proof of this so-called unit of US soldiers operating in Syria. Sounds like a good movie but that's about all. Please back up this tale with some proof.
15. We almost lost our country and faced a genoside
Omri ,   Israel   (10.06.10)

observer   (10.06.10)
is it your first or second visit to the site?
19. Thank you Mohamed #16
David ,   USA/ISRAEL/EGYPT   (10.06.10)
Before moving to Israel at the age of 15 for the reason you may have heard. We lived in Moharem Bey section of Alexandria. It is nice to have a friend and supporter of Israel and the Jewish people. Thank you again
20. #16. Thanks for your comments
USA   (10.06.10)
It is unfortunate many of your countrymen don't share your feelings.
21. Pre-empt strike rejected in 1973
DT ,   TA Israel   (10.06.10)
And you think the world will love Israel for doing the same again ? Lets hope the governments now and in the future will have learned from a near catastrophic mistake.
22. #11 you have some interesting thoughts to say the least
Mike ,   Isreal   (10.06.10)
I hapen to have been a some what high ranking field comander in the north during 73 war. I can tell you that no "active" American service men took part in any operation, NONE. For the record, it was Israeli service men who returned from Vietnam after volentering for the Americans who may have been invovled in the fighting.
23. Some things never change
R ,   Israel   (10.06.10)
We should learn from the past. As Dado said: "...They'll say we called up (reserves) to start a war. I prefer that they say we started (the war) and we win. THEY'LL SAY IT ANYWAY." (My emphasis)
24. SO who killed Ashraf Marwan in london?
Secular Beast   (10.06.10)
25. #22, there needs to be a conspiracy theory
Danny   (10.06.10)
after all if you outnumber the enemy between 10-20 to 1 and still get wiped out then Arabs need some excuse.
26. Golda & Dayan
mindRider ,   The Free World   (10.06.10)
Where none of what you call them, had Israel had more leaders today like them it would not have been in such a political mess. They did however take a wrong decision by not pre-empting which cost needless lives.
27. #16 - Thank You Mohamed!!!
Leo ,   Canada/Israel   (10.06.10)
28. why is this released only now?
Keevs4u ,   israel   (10.06.10)
perhaps this was released in order to try to justify a preemptive strike on iran...
29. what world thinks
moron ,   galut   (10.06.10)
disgraceful weakness in hindsight--then as now israel depended too heavily on superficial american opnion which at the time was very anti-war but less anti-semetic than today--nixon-who did not like jews sent munitions in the morning which were expendedi in the afternoon .the lesson is to lesson dependence even before time for striking.before presidents reagan- and W israel was on much shorter leash --like today with 'progressive' BHO
30. #6 No!, it is not stupidity, it's arrogance
