Lioness ,   Israel   (10.07.10)
2. not serious?
Ilana   (10.07.10)
why were the settlements frozen solid for nearly a year then? For what? How long can it take to talk? WHy did Abbas wait? All of a sudden he has different interests?
3. I FOR ONE AM DELIGHTED.Peace is
DT ,   TA Israel   (10.07.10)
a total delusion with the PA and Syria
4. We will continue the talks without them.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (10.07.10)
After all, the reality is that we've always been talking to ourselves anyway. So, this being the case, we can continue the talks without Abbas. The results will be exactly the same.
5. No serious talks with Bibi?
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (10.07.10)
How about some un-serious talks? You know, some light banter, a few jokes, maybe a stand-up comedy routine? Add in some photo-ops with everyone smiling as they lie their brains out. How is this different from previous talks one might ask. Obviously, it's exactly the same.
6. The truth
Ricardo Macher ,   Karnei Shomron IL   (10.07.10)
is that no matter who leads the government in Israel, the problem is that Obama, Clinton, Mitchel, the EU, the Quartet, no matter who, Abu Mazen doesn't want (and cannot) recognize Israel as a Jewish State! They don't want peace, they want every inch of our land. We love those every inch of our land but understand that we need to live somehow out of this war situation. Simply that you cannot deal with somebody who doesn't want to deal. Best is to leave sleeping dogs lye and wait for next generations to stop hating us.
7. Guess what? the Bibi Governemnt = Israel
David P. ,   Capitola, CA   (10.07.10)
what the PA is really saying is no political process with Israel - which was to be expected
8. JUDENREIN
Marcel ,   Florida   (10.07.10)
The Arabs want an Israel with no Jews and this is what the fakepeace Talks are all about. It's amazing to see so many lemming Jews help them in their quest.
9. Citizenship Act debate INSTEAD OF settlement freeze debate !
Salma ,   Palestine   (10.07.10)
Ohhhhhhhhh foxy, I thought You're smarter than that !!!
10. Finally...The Naive Paletinians are ..
Wilber Huffman ,   Lancaster PA   (10.07.10)
REALIZING this..The Palestinian MAFIA led ABU MAZEN follows instructions from the Israelis on every issue... These MAFIA KOOKES can't do it any more and this guy ABED RABBO is breaking with the Family.. Just look are the Picture..and see.. It looks a CROOKED business deal being worked... ABU MAZEN needs to come clean and leave...It is enough BS..
11. This will be Bibi's downfall from power.
Avi The Builder ,   Israel   (10.07.10)
We will throw him out!
12. There will be no serious political process until PA election
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & New York   (10.07.10)
Abbas can complain about Bibi all he wants, but Abbas can not prove he represents the Palestinians. His mandate was up long ago, and even then it did not represent all Palestinians - just he West Bank. There will be no serious political process until (first) Fatah and Hamas reconcile and (second) they hold new PA elections. Until then this is all a show to both hurt Israel and to help Obama.
13. Time Magazine reports?
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (10.07.10)
I didn't know they were still in business. Wasn't Time sold for a dollar? No, that was Newsweek but Time is not far behind. Time is the one that recently wrote a nice anti-Semitic article on how Israelis are busy making money, you know, Israelis are Jews, after all, & on the cover, they had a big Magen David. I didn't read the article, as suggested in the article, I was busy going to the beach & living it up. It's bad enough for Ynet to use Reuters or the AP, but Time? Anyway, this is all an excercise in futility. Everyone who is not totally braindead knows that this is just a pre-election stunt for Obama, a desperate attempt to pretend he has a foreign policy success. The whole problem was his fault - a stupid blunder that undermined his own policy goals. Why Netanyahu wants to help him out is beyond me, I think it's a big mistake to try & find a diplomatic trick to keep this charade going. No doubt, this is the influence of that great strategic thinker, Ehud Barak, could you ask for worse advice?
14. Its Not So Clever Thinking Buddy
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (10.07.10)
Okay, okay, made R. Giuliani or Sarah Palin Israeli citizens and change govt (in Israel). Now hows bout that Abbas and Abbubu. Look, Bibi is the only chance for a 2 state solotion. He ihas no backbone..gave red lines at Bar Ilan, which he soon abrogated. He alway acquisces to his former country (USA). He had to renounce his US citizenship to become the P.M.. nothing shocking there. In the USA, Jews are routinely investigated for ciivil service jobs..as they might have loyalty problems (some believe falsely). A Jew heads the US Treas Depts dept of terrorism ( money given to terrorist groups, Iran, etc.). Of course he took an oath. We all did. Really, the Arabs want Olmert/Livni, who they can manipulate..or some other leftists..they should get Soroa perhaps? Sure, and Ill sell you the Williamsburg Bridge in Brooklyn, cheap. And if there were no settlements..what would change..it would shift to the right of return.
15. settlement freeze
hebrew prophet ,   israel   (10.07.10)
Why Isreal allowed the settlement freeze to expire, the headlines in the Jewish Report,an overseas English language newspaper, written by Uriel Helman,in Jerusalem,Israeli officials say they have received assurances from US officials that the April 2004 letter from then President George W Bush to then Israeli PM Ariel Sharon assuring Israel that all large setlement blocs ,adjacent to the Green Line ,will be annexed to Israel.Operating under this assumption, the Israeli govt. viewed a complete open- ended setlement as unreasonable .If the major settlement blocs will be Israeli ,why stop building in them.Af ter 10 months of an experimental freeze to see what it would elicit from the Palestinians ,their return to the negotiating table was not enogh. It was time for the experiment to end .Quoted directly from Uriel Helman,s article ,enogh said already?
16. Palin/McCain/Giuliani/Bush for Israels Leaders
Dav Lev ,   Burbank.CAUSA   (10.07.10)
Great maneuvering again by the Pales leadership. Now, they say Bibi cannot be a genuine partner..he doesnt wsnt peace. Maybe they would prefer Avi? I vote for Sarah Palin, R. Giuliani for P.M. and F.M. Now that would be a team. I can see Abbas and Ptr trembling in their towels. Bibi is spineless., badks down with a little pressure. His reciprocity years ago went no where. Where is the rec now guy..all the w. Bank for promises. Look, 22 settlements and plants became military enclaves in the Strip (bought by Zukerman and Company for the Arabs). Hez took over Lebanon..Haririr investigattion going zilch. Barghouti still rants from his cell, while Arabs protest nakba. Okay, so make Condi Rice/Bush Pres and F.M or P.M. after they ocnvert to Judaism.
17. Time Magazine and truth = oxymoron
Arie ,   BaGolan   (10.07.10)
About as reliable as the Saudi owned CNN. OH WAIT, they are owned by the same Saudi prince who recently wrote about how "Jews would rather sun on the beaches of TA than see peace while the Palis suffer." That, I am sure, why the Prince's brother murdered his gay partner in a hissy fit. Come to think of it, we haven't heard from Yakub Sullivan in a while?
18. no.13
hebrew prophet ,   israel   (10.07.10)
You need to read between the lines Terry as November midterm elections will show Barack Hussein Obama as the second most inept US President after that other far left Democrat clown Jimmy Carter,a fitting legacy to both of them ,Bibi is just biding his time and waiting for the day to arrive?
19. Netanyahu needs to be replaced as PM
Anonymous   (10.07.10)
If Netanyahu even remotely considers another freeze or as the jpost reported, giving up the Jordan Valley, I would call for new elections. If he were in the US and were president, I would impeach him!
20. OBAMA - THE USEFUL IDIOT - ON THE HOOK
Arn. ,   SWEDEN.   (10.07.10)
THE SETTLEMENT FREEZE ARE ONLY A FIG LEAF TO HIDE THE PALASTINAN-ARABIC SHAME - http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3965119,00.html - THEIR SHAME IS ALBAIT THAT SHOWING TO ANY SOBER MIND, AND OBAMA HAS NOT SUCH A MIND. I THINK IT IS WERY OBVIOUS TO ANY SOBER MIND REGARDING THIS MATTER, THAT THE PALESTINIAN-ARABS ARE NOT INTERESTED IN PEACE, ONLY VICTORY, AS TO THEIR INTENTS SINCE 1947, THE DESTRUCTION OF ISRAEL. AND BY THE WAY - ALL THIS ISRAELI OFFERINGS AND GIVING INS, IS NOT THE WILL OF YEHOWAH EITHER, AS ACCORDING TO HIS WORDS. THEREFORE ALL PEACEEFFORTS WILL FAIL OR BE FAKE ONES WHICH ALSO WILL FAIL. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LW4OPRb4uTs YEHOWAH THE GOD OF PEACE ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO WILL BRING PEACE TO THE MIDDLE EAST, AND ONLY ON HIS CONDITIONS AND ONLY ASCCORDING TO HIS WILL. EVERYTHING ELSE WILL FAIL. Arn.
21. no precondition or is every red line green?
Golan ,   Modiin   (10.07.10)
Israeli leaders need to stick to red lines. this peace process is a farce. remember when it was no Palestinian State west of the Jordan? In the next election vote for someone better.
22. I can feel a paper peace coming
yehoshua j1 ,   usa   (10.07.10)
Barry Hussein is a Muslim
23. encouraging despite the skeptism
jonathan ,   london/ Israel   (10.07.10)
of course there are going to be massive hurdles on the way, and this is one of the big ones being played out. We need to encourage these players with their highly impossible pursuit. They may still be able to surprise us and actually make some real progress!
24. Why are you talking at all Bibi? Where is Gilad?
BJL ,   usa   (10.07.10)
And rockets are still falling from 'Aza. How will you be remembered Bibi? Yimach shemo? For giving away the land to blood thirsty enemy?
25. Comment
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.07.10)
The "Palestinians" are not good-faith "negotiators." They issue demands and ultimatums while refusing to make any concessions themselves. It is time to put an end to this ridiculous charade; annex Judea and Samaria, and repatriate its "Palestinian" residents to Jordan, country of their citizenship. It is daylight madness for Israel to even think of "negotiating" with Abbas -- or any other "Palestinian" -- without the following: 1. Fatah will have to repudiate its charter calling for the destruction of the State of Israel and the extermination and/or expulsion of the Jews. 2. Fatah will have to declare its acknowledgment that the State of Israel has the absolute and inalienable right to exist in its ancient homeland. 3. Fatah will have to recognize that Israel is a Jewish state. Without the foregoing, there really is no point to "negotiations." The settlements are just a red herring. Abbas has yet to make a single concession; he has never intended to make any. First, he said no "negotiations" without a freeze on settlement construction. He got his freeze. Did he "negotiate?" No, of course not. The moratorium on the freeze expired, and now he refuses to "negotiate" unless the freeze is extended. Not going to happen. The good thing, however, is that all the focus on the issue has pointed out in a very big way on the international stage just how intransigent the "Palestinians" are. Abbas is clearly not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
26. Israel should no more talk to P.A. than U.S. to Al Quaeda.
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.07.10)
For Israel to sit at the same table as the P.A. is ludicrous, in the first place. The fraudulent "peace talks" offer Israel only disaster. Their intent is to steal Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria from us, while trimming our waist to an impossible 8 miles and inundating us with rockets and hostile Arabs. Israel should no more talk to the P.A. than the U.S. should talk to Al Quada. The vast majority of Israelis know this, as polls show. It's time for all of Patriotic Israel to rise up, as one, against this evil abomination.
27. Halachic death curse
Rube vogel ,   Jerusa   (10.08.10)
There is nothing Halachic about a pulsa denura. Halachically speaking it is witchcraft and therefore a form of idol worship.
