I agree with Matt in LA. Laying out the IDF playbook for all to see undermines the advantage one gets from the element of surprise. Looking back on the Mavi Marmara, I don't know how they might have landed the dogs. Oketz dogs are smart and well trained, but they don't know how to repel. And I have no doubt the savages they encountered on the deck would have beat them with the steel pipes they'd cut from the railing. There are any number of non-lethal tools that might serve better using ultrasonic sound, microwaves, etc. But for heaven's sake, shut up about them!

They are CONSISTENTLY DUMB. It's not like they are smart sometimes and dumb at other times. They are serial blunderers. There are 21st century methods of stopping and disabling ships. If it is the known and stated intention of certain parties to release these dogs then in fact it gives a legal and justifiable premise for marksmen to go onto the ship. If you want to stop someone, the first thing you do is step in front of them. In this case block the boat with other boats. In the case of when dogs attack it is the human reaction to shot them. So I'm not sure what the point of having dogs on board would be, besides for Israel to get in trouble for crimes against animals.

I completely disagree with this idea because as I remember the activists were armed with guns, even an attack dog can be stopped by a bullit and what a waste of training for these dogs that are more useful in other situations, the IDF will be sending them to a dog blood bath and then think of the media response to that. If you thought it was bad first time around, the world media will have a frenzy with this.

The people in the last boat did not make a declaration that they were partial pacifists or full pacifists. For me, peace means a commitment to not having wars. This is just one step of process to evaluate if a person gets the right to be called a peace activist. Also need to evaluate an overall statement of intent and beliefs and also perhaps personal references and a police report for each person. (The idea of peace is important, and cannot let the people believing in it down). If they pass all this then they get the credentials and gain the right to be called peace activists.
