1. The most moral army in the world
Jack. A   (10.09.10)
2. Disguised terrorists are not victims. They
Vardina   (10.09.10)
simply paid the price for their terror activities. Israel should declare explicitely that it will not cooperate with any initiative aimed to undermine the legitimacy of the state of Israel. We will not ask permission from anyone regarding our right of defending ourself best we can. I am very sorry for the stupidity of our leaders who had been careless enough to sell military secrets and technology to the Turks who will now use them against us. This is not the first time.... It is about time for our leaders to respond like mleaders not like cowards who are not concerned with anything but "what will the world say" "the world" fully cooperated -not so long ago - with Nazi Germany in the attempt to termionate the Jewish nation. Israel is now and will remain the home of the Jewish nation and attacking Israel means attacking the Jewish nation. However, this time we are not going to stretch our neck out to our enemies.
3. So..
Linda ,   Poltava, Ukraine   (10.09.10)
... the forthcoming parliament elections campaign in Turkey has started.
4. US nor Israel in ICC
Jeff ,   US   (10.09.10)
Any decision by ICC has no legal effect on Israel the same as it does not for USA
5. We can do one of two things
jason white ,   afula,israel   (10.09.10)
We can demand that the turks be tried for indiscriminate killing of the Kurds. Illegally occupying half of Cyprus. Or we can send the I.A.F. to visit the i.c.c. How come other countries kill people in the hundreds or thousands and they are not brought to the i.c.c.?
6. For then nations, no right of Jewish self-defense
Paul Freedman ,   Falls Church, USA   (10.09.10)
For the nations, Jews at the end of the day, only have the right to be attacked and to perish. Enough of this nonsense--the next ship should be sunk. If the ICC objects it can charter its own boat.
7. This will like come to US court next, with one dead a US cit
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (10.09.10)
citizen. Likely looking for favorable Judge/court in US and waiting for more evidence to come out first from UN and Israeli panel or to issue subpoenas.
8. Our ministers and Generals didn't
Varda Samochian ,   Hadera, Israel   (10.09.10)
Our ministers and Generals didn't think of this when they sent the commandos in. If they had just let the flotilla get to Gaza, by now it would be forgotten.
9. Turkey MUST be brought to Justice by the Kurds!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (10.09.10)
Turkey not Israel is an ICC signatory and thus the ICC must investigate the atrocities committed by Turkey against the Kurds. Surely, if Turkey is so concerned about Hamas and the Palestinians and demands that the Palestinians be given statehood, the same should apply to the Kurds, Turkey is being run from Tehran and it is time the NATO realized that every NATO decision goes straight to the ears of the lunatic Ahmadinejad!
10. International Law
John   (10.09.10)
Yet another joke in and of international law
11. Re 4: that is true but indirectly maybe not
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (10.09.10)
The ICC member countries could freeze accounts and restrict trade, that would but both US and Israel in bind due to banking and trade agreements. I believe the ICC needs UNSC vote first before trial but Obama could abstain if freeze not renewed.
12. ICC
moshon   (10.09.10)
ICC is a figleaf to european fears of the moslem horde in their midst. So, they appease it by sacrificing israel non stop. Who does the ICC represent? For the most part, every radical represented by some dumbass lawyer(and law schools lets in lots of them) argues his claim there. And who else- the paragons of democracy-libya, iran, syria, hamas sudan. This constitutes the filth of the world. Truth are lies and lies are truth. So what should israel do? I ask listerns for ideas but I am out of them. Europe can be ignored cause israel can take the whole of europe military and knows it.
13. For the Turkish group invesigation very revealing
JO   (10.09.10)
it's history, documented statements, members on record, and it's politics, all laid bare. I dont think this will be a bad thing at all. The more that is out in the open the easier it will be. The evidence from the videos alone, and those taken pre sailing in Turkey, says much already.
14. :: Israel should welcome this move
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (10.09.10)
Israel should welcome its day in court as it has continually insisted that it acted appropriately and is wholly blameless of any wrongdoing. What better way to clear its name than to have an international court of law examine the evidence and find Israel innocent? First and foremost Israel can explain why it attacked the flotilla in the dead of night used armed commandos if it was expecting non-violent resistance from the civilian passengers on board? This would also be an excellent opportunity for Israel to prove some of the more ridiculous claims it made eg: that members of the flotilla were linked to Al-Qaeda I wonder if the charge of “piracy” will be added since several members of the IDF were caught selling stolen personal items belonging to the members of flotilla? I also trust that Israel will turnover all the video footage and photographs it confiscated from the passengers as the re-edited propaganda videos that the Israeli Gov spliced together have no credibility.
15. Ignoring the laws
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (10.09.10)
The world ignores international laws when it comes to Israel. First the illegal actions were by Turkey. Our actions were completely within international law. Second we are not subject to the ICC and it is a direct violation of their charter. Yet we all know that the ICC will make another illegal ruling.
16. To 14 - you are VERY naive
David   (10.09.10)
Do you really believe that the judges in such a political court are trying to bring justice? All of the UN from its members to the personal appointments of its judges is done in such a way that the muslim countries and their supporters would be satisfied. Even if somehow it doesn't happen, there are millions of petrodollars coming from the Persian gulf used to bribe the judges afters the are selected to eliminate any possibility that thing won't go in the "wrong" way. How do you expect Israel to be happy with that "trial" when the outcome is already bought?
17. Take Turkey to ICC over the Armenian Genocide
AMERICAN ,   Los Angeles   (10.09.10)
They should pay reparations and return stolen properties for the 1.5million killed by the islamic jihadists of Turkey in 1915.
