Israel cannot absorb a several thousand rocket and missile barrage, especially if many are long-range, heavy payload rockets from Iran and Syria. So what's going on? Israel must be preparing the 'mother-of-all' pre-emptive attacks against her 'neighbors.' Once that attack has started, some rockets will get through, which is what the safe rooms are for. Missles alone are not a decisive weapon, especially used by amatures. All out war is by definition another matter. Going to war every few years does not create deterrence. Winning them does. Big time. Israel should try to do it again. The last wars that Israel was fighing were wars of status quo. They are unwinnable same way as it was impossible to win the status quo war in Viet nam. The war is not a status quo war when the goal is to "show them who is the boss". This kind of wars is lost by attrition and both Israel and USA lose those wars one after another.
