1. stopping the Oslo Accords because terrorism was rampant
eddie ,   London UK   (10.14.10)
I can admire Dalia Rabin, because she is honest, and so is her brother Yuval. PM Rabin made a big mistake in Oslo, and was mislead by the leftists. He saw that he was getting terrorism in return for peace - but then what do you expect when you allow the PLO terror executive which was booted out of Lebanon, into Gaza and West bank, and give them arms. These are the crimes that rabin was guilty of. Many innocent Israelis were killed because of these irresponsible actions of the Peres-Rabin government. But the precedent that it set was that the world would be able to turn on Israel and pressure it into anything it wants. Gaza has become a cause celebre.
2. Sorry, to bust the bubble
Norman   (10.14.10)
Today is no different than your father and arafat. Arafat never wanted peace he wanted land to weaken Israel. Actually Oslo was much worse than today then we had bombs suicide bombers every other day. I don;t know where Dalia takes her analysis where facts disprove her. But Yitzchak is still her father and she has to defend him at all cost.
3. Reasons For Peace
Dan ,   Titusville, FL   (10.14.10)
Anwar Sadat and King Hussein were two very great men who had vision and were looking to do the best for their country. Neither of which is any one of the Islamic maniacs that dominate and rant anti- Israeal and anti-Jewiosh rhetoric daily. It is not likely we will see any rational leader in any Islamic country unti people have come to see the vacousness of where Isl;am has taken them and they revolt en mass and install a secular government.
4. Rabin
Ricardo Macher ,   Karnei Shomron IL   (10.14.10)
Every big man has the right to make a mistake. Much worse are those who promoted Oslo, Geneva and alike and have no guts to see how wrong they were. Rabin was a patriot, others are just in love with their ego and not ready to go home!
5. If Rabin were alive today he would be more right wing then
Josh   (10.15.10)
Lieberman! Rabin was mislead by Beilin and Peres!
6. Who was Rabin?
Golan ,   modiin   (10.15.10)
Rabin was PM, DM, Minister of internal defense, minister of education, minister of religious affairs all at the same time. He tore the country apart. He lied about not dealing with the PLO. He made mistakes and he was murdered. He took a risk and when it was obvious to everyone (peres too, lets give him credit) that peace was not Arafat;s intentions he should have stopped. Maybe he would have. He was murdered and we will never know. BB is turning things around. Because two nations for two peoples must involve population transfer. Demanding the recognition of Israel as a Jewish state is thr right path. As for Dalia, I do not respect her mind. I do however understand her devotion to her father's memory. (but I bet she did not mention his acts in the Season or Altalena affair.)
7. #6: "who was Rabin?"...
Rafi ,   US   (10.15.10)
Among other things, he was actually the individual more responsible than anybody else for Israel controlling the very land that you live on in Modiin. Perhaps the younger generation has forgotten the hard preparation and sacrifices made by others to secure Israel in '48 and '67. Rabin was at the forefront of these efforts. Ironically the "settler movement" would not have a basis for existing today were it not for the extraordinary territorial successes of the IDF in the West Bank and Golan, all as a result of Rabin's long planning as Chief of Staff. It's sad that for reasons of convenience and ideology some of the most salient facts of history are lost among some of our own people.
8. :: What Rabin did to Israel
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (10.15.10)
What Rabin did to Israel, 10 Nassers, 10 Assads, 10 Saadats, 10 Saddams and 100 Arafats could not do until Rabin enabled it to happen.
9. Her father is an Oslo War criminal!
Uri Daniel ,   Lod, Israel   (10.15.10)
He is boiling in hell in the Jewish blood he spilled!
10. Dalia, U R still living the lie that your father established
Yehuda   (10.15.10)
The truth is that this land was given to Abraham and handed down to us. The lie is that it belongs to the Arabs and the only way to live in peace with them is to give it to them. No matter how much or how little you give them of Abraham's land for the Jews, the Arabs will not give peace in return. Time for you to wake up and stop perpetuating this lie of your father's for it will just make him suffer more.
11. shame on commentors #'s 8, 9, 10...
Rafi ,   US   (10.16.10)
... for your frothing and misguided hatred of one of the greatest heroes in Jewish history. Israel would not exist today were it not for the heroism and dedication of Y. Rabin, z"l, and his IDF colleagues from 1948 thru 1967. To this day, over 40 years later, the the 6 Day War victory, planned and led by Rabin, still serves the deterrent power of Israel. Following his years in the IDF, Rabin, as Israel's Ambassador in Washington, helped open the doors of the mighty American arsenal, facilitating the sale of US-made F-4 Phantom jets to Israel. So #'s 8, 9, 10... what have you done lately to secure Israel? - what service that could compare to the accomplishments of Rabin?
