31. 4 Terry sweet heart - how many times does mama needs to tell
Mama Liga   (10.15.10)
you to put the hat on in sunny Eilat??
32. More leftist Jewish groups belong on the list.
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.15.10)
Nominally Jewish leftist groups are likely the most destructive of all. Their pretended Jewishness gives undeserved credence to their attacks on Israel's rights and security. More Jewish left organizations belong on this list. J Street and Peace Now come to mind immediately. Disagreeing with Israel's government is one thing. However, attempting to pressure Israel to violating the decisions of Israel's voters is abominable. Many leftist Jewish groups, like the two noted above, do just that.
33. J Street and Peace Now belong on the list.
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.15.10)
Nominally Jewish groups which undermine Israel do the most harm. Their supposed Jewishness gives undeserved credence to their attacks against Israel's rights and security. ADL's list is far from complete.
34. #10 Martin Schlaff
mark ,   jerusalem   (10.15.10)
do not forget who bought these former leaders....and how many leftists have finally realized that there will never be two states living together in peace for two peoples until global jihad is over and the price of oil returns to $10/barrel.
35. What an honor :)
Abu Justice ,   lincoln vt usa   (10.15.10)
Thank you for acknowledging our hard work for Human Rights!
36. These groups are the white rose of our generation
Tyler Westbrook ,   lincoln vt usa   (10.15.10)
Look, I have been to Palestine including Gaza, and deplore human right Violations by any party there. I support the freedom for Gaza, including freedom from Hamas. These groups are not racist, they are anti racist. I have participated in many events by these groups, and have never experienced racism, except in counter protests. Truth is not slander. Some folks here get that mixed up.
37. Heheh :) ,...
split ,   USA   (10.15.10)
Donations are down ,...
38. of course jews live in west bank and gaza
Sandra ,   Scotland   (10.15.10)
at least they did before 1948 but then that was the point where israel terrorised alot of palestinians out of thier homes so tell you what here is a question how many palestinians have been allowed to return to thier homes? you can't have it both ways you know, so spare us the whiter than white
39. #5 - You're 40 years too late, buddy
William ,   Israel   (10.15.10)
Israel has no discrimination against Sephardics. That is part of history for 40 years now and only conjured up by Sephards who demand special treatment...mostly from Shas who uses the "racism" claim as part of their election platform. Further, you're using the term "apartheid" wrong, which clearly indicates your intelligence. There are NO special laws set aside for any one ethnic group or religious sect in Israel. Everyone is treated the same, with equality. So cram the tired "racism" claim so over-used by the Leftists and go do something productive for society for once.
40. #8 - response to #6
William ,   Israel   (10.15.10)
Jews make a list of groups that should be dealt with openly in debate.....conversely, Arabs make a list of groups and begin to eliminate each one through violence. Gazan should know. He probably witnessed Fatah being thrown from rooftops by Hamas.
41. #7 - Israel provoking the world?
William ,   Israel   (10.15.10)
So Israel arrests a terrorist at home, and you, in the US, are somehow "provoked"?? I find it funny how you live with 300 million people but it's the 6 million half-way around the world that really annoy you, even though the 25 million next door that openly commit war crimes (Sudan) doesn't seem to bother you much. Though you probably sport an online degree from McDonald's University on Intl Law, you can hardly be considered a worthy person of credible opinion. You should get a refresher in Big Mac-roeconomics and get yourself a real job, Johnny.
42. Sandra #38 you might try learning history
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (10.15.10)
I know that you subjects of the crown believe that nobody else has any history but you post is the opposite of the truth. Jews were terrorized out of their homes. Nearly half the Arabs left BEFORE our declaration of independence and 90% of the rest left without ever seeing an Israeli (and that is according to the British that were there). Then Egypt and Jordan ethnically cleansed the Jews from their homes whereas our leadership pleaded for the Arabs to stay. (again every single British source agrees with that). As for the number of Arabs we have allowed in Israel from the groups that left over 200,000. How about the number of Jews allowed back in to the Arab countries that they were expelled from ZERO. Spare us your stupidity. We can have it anyway we want - it is our lands and they are not citizens nor have they ever been citizens of Israel.
43. #10 - you left context out of their changed views
William ,   Israel   (10.15.10)
Despite the change in views of those you mentioned, none of them ever agreed to returning to 1967 lines, to a militarized "Palestinian" State, nor to anything less than 100% security for Israel and its people. So you see, the views were really changed as much as you claim.
44. #28 - so disgusted you can't even quote Foxman accurately
William ,   Israel   (10.15.10)
He didn't say the list is of those who "criticize Israel", he said the list is of those who "unfairly attack Israel and slander it (with a purposeful biased slant lacking any objectivity)". It's the same reason many UN resolutions are vetoed down because they fail to speak to the crimes of Arabs while attacking only Israel. So, you've added your own opinion to the article and claimed Foxman said it, when infact that is false. Since you do follow the same agenda of Israel-bashing based on lack of facts and intentional discrimination, Yes, you should be on the list as well. But you are like a flea on our asses so you're hardly worth the concern.
45. #35 - Truth is also not subjective
William ,   Israel   (10.15.10)
and the agenda of these groups is to promote a belief based on subjective truths. In other words - "their opinions". As Foxman stated, these groups DO NOT support peace, they create divisions and tensions which lead to hostilities. Big deal - you've been to Gaza. Did you happen to see the tall stacks of new flat screen tvs, new cars, and endless stalls of food for the masses that these groups claim are "starving"? If you DO protest oppression by Hamas, then simply work against them. Once Hamas, the group who declared a war against Israel and routinely commits war crimes, is removed and the threat of war is no more, Gazans will have their freedom back and can build a State. But until that threat is removed, Israel has only one obligation - to its own citizens. To demand rights for Gazans at the expense of Israelis is nothing less than pure discrimination!
46. #38 - Um, the PLO disagreed with you, honey
William ,   Israel   (10.15.10)
Arab leaders at the time, some PLO leaders in the 1960s, and a member of Al-Husseini's gang in an interview on BBC in the 1990s all admitted that most Arabs left Palestine due to false fear by Arab propaganda without ever seeing an Israeli soldier. Now who to believe - some racist biddie 5000 miles away, or the Arabs themselves who were involved in the conflict. Tough call. BTW, those Jews in West Bank and Gaza were not part of the IDF nor were many Zionists. Still, they were targeted because they were Jews, which Jordanians and Egyptians freely admitted to. And why not - their actions were supported by the Arab League which claimed the goal was to ethnically cleansed Jews from the region
47. #42 - answer to Sandra, Scotland
William ,   Israel   (10.15.10)
In addition to your fine points, it's important to mention that those Arabs who wanted to return to Israel (which Israel agreed to) didn't because they refused the portion of the deal according to UNR181 that Arab aggression against Israel must end and returning Arabs must adhere to obligations of Israeli citizenship. Even then, the Arabs refused to accept Israel or Jewish sovereignty so they essentially negated the offer out-right.
48. Sabeel and Obama's church
Sue ,   Los Angeles   (10.15.10)
The success of International Solidarity Movement's (Saudi-funded) anti-Israel propaganda on American college campuses led to the creation of a 2nd program to alienate US churches from Israel. The group Sabeel, founded by Naim Ateek, a Palestinian Christian, heads this campaign to delegitimize Israel and question its right to exist. Sabeel preaches Muslim fundamentalist "replacement theology" - that G-d promised the land of Israel not to Abraham's descendants, but to the people of Ishmael, and that Jesus was not a Jew, but a Palestinian. Obama's pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his Nation of Islam friend, Louis Farrakhan, go further and say that Jesus was a black man. Sabeel has been a major influence on the United Church of Christ (Obama was a 20-year member of Wright's Trinity UCC in Chicago). Wright was a prominent voice in UCC's 2005 decision to divest from Israel. Another Obama spiritual mentor, Jim Wallis, who called Ateek "Palestine's Desmond Tutu," was cited as inspiration for the 2005 UCC anti-Israel decision. In 2007, Obama gave a speech to the UCC, but was silent on the issue of Israel while the (1.1 million-member) church voted to continue divestment.

Seth ,   Washington, DC   (10.15.10)
51. I don't think so, Peter #13: Please
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (10.15.10)
refer to the daily blogs of Dr. Barry Rubin of the Gloria Centre or else to Pajamas Media (you can google it) to obtain a better understanding of what's going on outside Israel with repsect to North Americans views. Even in your own country, you can see how rapidly the citizens of The Netherlands are questioning the accomodation of the internal Muslim populations in the otherwise Dutch communities of The Netherlands and how the leftist/liberal element has advocated for easy immigration, multiculturalism (thereby giving up the Dutch character of the nation) and acceptance even in view of rampant criminality and enforced (by Muslims) isolation from the Dutch culture. Geert Wilders has been forceful enough to resist the leftist/liberal element and his popularity will continue to grow. This phenomenon is also taking place amongst many western democratic nations of Europe. The groups mentioned by Terry and Brian deserve to be added to the list of Israeli demonizers in the USA.
52. Brian Cohen #27: Actually, Brian, I can
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (10.15.10)
think of one Israeli Jew who resides in Ramallah and, I suppose, resides legally and is sympathized with. Her name? Amira Haas of the despicable and traitorous newspaper, Haaretz. Amira always writes from the Palestinian propaganda perspective, how Palestinians are victims, how lovely is their culture and how genuine are their people. She always criticizes Israel, always, and never calls to account the misdealings of the Palestinian people or government, never. Amira did enter Gaza about two years ago after Operation Cast Lead. After a few days, she was escoted out. There were guesses about why she left and under what circumstances but Amira has never fessed up. I asked the question several times under articles she had written but my posts were not published. This is the typical way of Haaretz. All leftists get printed as do all Israeli bashers but, like the typical faux liberal publication Haaretz really is, it censors anyone who disagrees. This is one amongst many reasons why I distrust the left. If they were truely liberal, they would allow all opinions except those advocating extreme violence to be discussed as opposed to only regulating discussions to their own arena. In that respect, Ynet is far more liberal than Haaretz yet its basic stance is conservative.
53. Robert Haymond , I can tell you what happened
Alistair(Ali) ,   Scotland   (10.16.10)
Hamas men came for Amira(The men in black ) one day and told her she must leave because they could nolonger guarantee her safety, got her back into Israel. if I remember correctly
54. You are Correct
Alistair(Ali) ,   Scotland   (10.16.10)
55. JStreet not on list because...
Nick ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (10.16.10)
ADL agrees with JStreet's agenda and probably helps them. ADL's response to this particular group is political theatre. They could use their formidable organization to put a kink in most of the anti-Israel orgs. But they don't.
56. So Peter, you're telling us it's ok to lie?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (10.17.10)
"This text is a bit one sided..." you say? Crikey, man, it's a downright lie! I have no problem with people legitimately criticizing policy - that's part of democracy. I have big problems with organizations like J Street that have a policy of outright lying. J Street is lying, and I don't care how much other points they may be making - lying to back up your point is NOT part of the game. J Street should be on this list, or they should edit their website to reflect the truth, not propaganda. J Street is pushing propaganda as part of their message. That is wrong. I react when any left wing knee-jerk reactionary like you tries to fob off fiction as fact. Sorry, Peter, but you are just another propagandist willing to push the anti-Israel rhetoric whether it is the truth or not. As for the JPF, I suggest you go watch Monty Python's Life of Brian - you will learn some valuable lessons about politics. As for your "on the whole" - you should learn how to challenge organizations like J Street that are lying to you, rather than be another sheep who sucks up the percentage of lies because it happens to match your own wishful thinking.
57. Like in "Life of Brian"
Patrick ,   Montreal Canada   (10.23.10)
Brian Cohen, Brian of Nazareth? Like in the Monty Python movie "Life of Brian". I find it difficult to take your point seriously.
58. don't take #16 seriously
Patrick ,   Montreal Canada   (10.23.10)
The Judean People's Front is one of the liberation groups fighting Roman oppression in the movie Monty Python's "Life of Brian" They want to throw the Romans out but keep the aqueducts.
