1. When will the Arabs stop torching Jewish fields?
Kahana   (10.15.10)
When Israel will realize that Kahana was right.
2. Havat Gilad is illegal by Israel's definition
observer   (10.15.10)
the settlement is on land privately owned by Moshe Zar. how come illegal settlers claim fields owned by a settler terrorist?
3. More Palestinian propaganda
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (10.15.10)
Reading all these stories, ask yourself: What percentage of Palestinian orchards have been torched? Many of you dupes will answer 50% to 100%. Anybody with the ability to reason and check the facts will get the answer of less than 1%. Kind of like the lie of the "separate road system for the settlers". It doesn't exist. Or, at least, I'll provide a huge cash prize to anybody out there who can show me where that road systems is, because it's not here - it's only the the gullible minds of those who believe Palestinian propaganda.
4. corrections
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (10.15.10)
The incident started when two "settlers" were peacefully walking and attacked by a lynch mob of anarchists (not Arab farmers). The two barely managed to escape and alerted the IDF. The IDF patrol that arrived came under attack by the lynch mob and had no choice but to shoot in the air to save their lives.
5. More Israeli Propaganda
Sandra ,   Scotland   (10.15.10)
During 2009, 14125 olive trees were cut down, torched or uprooted, including 1455 trees that were burnt or uprooted during the olive picking season and about 7000 were uprooted for the purpose of expanding the existing colonies while the rest were burnt or cut down by colonists. Not only did the Israeli Authorities and colonists destroy olive trees but also they prevented the farmers from reaching their olive fields, especially the ones behind the wall.
6. actually I believe its 5%-10%
Sandra ,   Scotland   (10.15.10)
Palestinians have planted ten million trees over 898,262 dunums (around 225,000 acres). This area represents 54% of the total planted agricultural land and the trees constitute about 80% of the total rain-fed productive trees in Palestine. I believe the total for the last ten years of destroyed trees is between 500,000 and 1 million unless of course you were only talking about tourched trees, but then that wouldn't be the whole picture would it?
7. Kahanists considered terrorist org by Israel, Canada, EU, US
observer   (10.15.10)
The U.S. State Department lists kahanists as a terrorist organization. Their M-16 rifles have to be confiscated and their fund raising outlets shut down.

9. Sandra #5 and #6
marvyn ,   uk   (10.15.10)
People come on here and criticise other countries and they themselves come from countries which had empires i.e. in this case the British Empire. Sandra I think you have forgotten your history; any country which had an empire cannot teach anyone how to behave.
10. Settlers attacked the Palestinian farmers
All   (10.15.10)
All foreign media went there are are reporting that the settlers set the olive grove on fire and attacked the Palestinian farmers, not the other way around. Havat Gilad settlers are known for launching settler attacks all year long.
11. Havat Gilad is illegal!
All   (10.15.10)
Under Israeli law AND International law, it is an illegal outpost that has nothing to do there. Settlers need to stop disturbing the peace, all they achieve is destroying Israel's image while sitting on State money.
12. Hating Jews while Helping Real Terrorists
Joe Citizen ,   Alaska, USA   (10.15.10)
Isn't that the same State Department that is pressuring Congress to keep funding military aid for Hezbullah dominated Lebanon?
13. #5 & #6 Sandra what do you know about olive trees?
Alexander ,   NJ, USA   (10.15.10)
Are a farmer Sandra from Scotland? I highly doubt that you are since a farmer would know that olive trees need to be pruned; “'When Arabs claim trees have been hacked, it is usually because they have hacked them but use the ignorance of the media to profit by the way the trees look after pruning. Lopping off branches--That is how you prune olive trees but they know that when reporters see hacked looking trees, they will believe that it was done by Jews with intent to damage,” the source explained. Claims that Jews have “chopped down” trees that were actually pruned go back several years. The Judea and Samaria (Yesha) Council has publicized videos showing Arab farmers chopping branches off of their own trees, but the videos have been largely ignored by world media." (http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/140078). Educate yourself, but you will most undoubtedly think this is more Israeli propaganda so I have found a video for a simpleton such as yourself to look at on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyvMm9LW2-4 this will help you see just how pruning is done. Thank you for your effort in endorsing Palestinian hate in the middle east by subscribing to Palestinian lies distortions of truth and propaganda. Your efforts are an epic fail.
14. #10 and #11 nothing illegal about living on Jewish land
Alexander ,   NJ, USA   (10.16.10)
The fact of the matter is that this is the Historic homeland of the Jewish people. They can freely build there since Arabs are allowed to build there freely, otherwise tell the Arabs to stop building illegal on disputed land. Why shouldn't Jews build? After all they are the indigenous people of this land. The Jews were thriving and building cities in their land that had been invaded by the Romans and then the subsequent invaders after them long before Muslims or any other nation come and settled Arabs there. This community was built on private land by private funds not by the Israeli government so I don't see how you claim it to be illegal when it's purchase and construction was done through legal means of private individuals.
15. The settlements are illegal a violation of Human Rights
Ari   (10.16.10)
All Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory are illegal under international law and even sometimes, as is the case with this settlement, under Israeli law. Building settlements, colonial-style, in a land that does not belong to Israel is a gross violation of human rights. I wish all Israelis would understand the colonial ear has come to an end.
16. #14 real homeland is over 800 miles away in Georgia
observer   (10.16.10)
90% of people in the world today who call themselves Jews are actually Khazars, or as they like to be known, Ashkenazi Jews. These people knowingly lie to the world with their claims that the land of Israel is theirs by birthright, when in actual fact their real homeland is over 800 miles away in Georgia.
17. Havat Gilad is illegal under Israeli Law
Lali   (10.17.10)
The outpost of Havat Gilad is illegal under Israeli Law. The settlers living there are violating the law of Israel.
