The only way to negotiate with terrorists is to destroy them. Unfortunately the international community considers these terrorists to be civilians. The government decided that it was better to suck up to the international community rather than wipe off every last Jewish-blood-spilling Palestinian from the face of the planet. We didn't invade Gaza in 2008. We assaulted it. If we had truly invaded and eliminated the Hamas government we would have Gilad back. It's that simple. The only reason why these cockroaches exist is because Israel lets them.

5. Israel not using every tool available. Shame on Bibi.
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (10.16.10)
Bibi should stand up tomorrow and declare: "I am immediately imposing the exact same conditions on all Hamas and Islamic Jihad prisoners that Hamas is imposing on Gilad Shalit. From this minute, I have ordered a total blackout on all these prisoners who are immediately placed in 24-hour a day solitary confinement with zero visitation rights." "Any complaints the families of these prisoners have should be sent to Hamas. These conditions will only change when Hamas obeys international law and allows the International Red Cross to visit Gilad Shalit. When that happens, a Red Cross member will be allowed a single visit to Hamas prisoners." I call on the United Nations to demand that Hamas obey international law. Until then, the Hamas prisoners remain in the dark, just like Gilad Shalit.

Hey Bud-become semi -literate before you bash a woman whose husband is a hero! Your English is incomprehensible...
7. the pain inflicted on relatives of MISSING people...
eporue ,   europe   (10.16.10)
is more difficult, complex - as his wife points out... the day, nasrallah & co find a sort of braveness to stand up for their own deeds, when they are ready and strong enough to draw a line and start over, he will return. by now, those who know in lebanon, could at least hint some information. just for this women and her daughter. just so.

Brian, I'd go a step further & say, no humanitarian aid, no water, no elecricity, all borders between Gaza & Israel sealed until Gilad is free. Hamas & the Gazans would'nt last long.
9. Tami Arad
debbie ,   israel   (10.16.10)
TO EFE, ISRAEL Your post is the height of smugness and arrogance. I can assure you that Tami Arad, would never again enter a bus, or a restaurant, or anywhere else, if she could have had her beloved husband and father of her daughter back. You have the nerve to ask her, what it was like, when she was afraid to walk on the street? I can assure you she was more fearful for her husband's life, and was thinking about him every second, instead of her fear at entering a bus. What a stupid post.

BRIAN COHEN, This may have worked. Although I'm not sure that Hamas would have given a damn about their people languishing in prison. I don't think they do. But at least Israel wouldn't have been a sucker, giving these animals every luxury and right, including studying on Israel's account, the height of stupidity, while Gilad Shalit rots underground.

Tami, don't blame yourself for anything. There is no handbook on what to do in such a situation. My heart is with you and your family and with the Shalit family.
