Israel left Lebanon, yet it was harshly condemned by many after it retaliated for Lebanese provocation. How come? Israel wanted to leave completely Gaza, yet our enemies forced a conflict upon us and yet again we were condemned. Let's say we withdraw to 1967 borders tomorrow. What makes you think our enemies want force a conflict upon us once again going this time for 1947 borders? And funny thing, we will be condemned once again. There are many "self-righteous" people that hate Israel for being a modern country yet engaged in an ethnic conflict. These people have double standards towards Israel compared to any other country in the ME. These people usually live in safe places and are not in danger of sudden death/injury shall their government face an all-out war. It is curious to me that so often any criticism of Israel's foreign policy, doctrine of pre-emtive attack or mistreatment of minorities is taken as anti-semitism. Israel is a sovereign state that must live among others in the world. An atitude that it is above criticism, free to do as it pleases to anyone, anywhere, at any time will naturally generate opposition. LIve among others or live alone.

Israel has a right to self-defense as other countries. When another country threatens to wipe off Israel, Israel has a right to defend itself against that country by not waiting as a sitting duck for its destruction. When Israel is being attacked by its enemies, Israel has a right to defend itself against them.
