Could you please supply me with more information about this as my cousin who is a holocaust survivor wants to know how to apply for this. I've looked around on the internet and I've only been able to find information on the web about ghetto pensions that relate to labor that wasn't forced labor (i.e. people agreed to do the work without coercion).

An Dutch uncle of my dad was a forced labourer. He died aged 29 in the laborcamp in Germany when the British bombed it, in April 1945. The family never saw a penny. Elisabeth, Netherlands

As the heir of survivors from Koloszar, taken to Auschwitz- deceased in USA- I need to apply! Where to the heirs apply to? Please do not say the Claims Conference which stole our parent's monies and refuse to help the heirs!!!! They only employ Russians who were never in Polish or German camps to begin with! We, the children of survivors must stand together and get our parents blood worked money!!!

The programme is called 'Deutsche Rente für Arbeit in einem Ghetto (ZRBG)' [German Pension for Work in a Ghetto]. Contact for applications: Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund 10704 Berlin +49/(0)30-20247780 drv@drv-bund.de http://www.claims-conference.de/individuelle-entschaedigungen/ghettorenten/antragstellung-und-kontakt/

Something about Claims Conference As a result of negotiations with the World Jewish Congress the German government has paid more than $50 billion in indemnification for suffering and losses resulting from Nazi persecution. Our negotiations have also resulted in the creation of special funds for Holocaust survivors and Holocaust education from the Austrian Government, German and Austrian industry and many other European nations. I should have added that the payout of the compensations this article refers to has nothing to do with the Claims Conference or any other similar organizations. It's a pension for Ghetto workers and paid directly out of the 'German Pension Fund'. #6 jurgen from "Germany": It's 'jürgen', not 'jurgen', can't you write your own name correctly? Or couldn't you find the 'ü' on your keyboard?

Accurate information is missing from this article. How could children work while in the getto? So how is it that survivors who were in getto as children are encouraged to apply? In case heirs are entitled to apply, please state where we could obtain further relevant information. In the article is stated that work in gettos are subject of restitution where the gettos were under German souverenity (and not in the souverenity of their allies). The example quoted in the article is in contrast to this statement. Ms. Eva Yakobovitch was in the getto of Kolozsvar which is in Transylvania. Kolozsvar was during the period of 1940-45 in Hungarian souverenity, an ally of Nazi Germany.
