31. One aspect is plain old Road Rage & it happens everywhere!
(10.20.10)
For the record the term "Road Rage" was coined in the United States. But here in Israel we have refined to a high level art of hatred and anger! Most traffic accidents have nothing to do with the infrastructure they have everything to do with the way we as drivers behave. and we as drivers behave badly, rudely and hatefully! and we as drivers get out of our cars and behave that way to one another! We are negative angry afraid and hateful to one another and to ourselves. Don't believe me? Just read the TBs attached to any article here on ynet they are written verbal sewage a symphony of hate! No sadly I think that this article is on point!
32. Had this city [polis in Greek]
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim,   (10.20.10)
B"H - "Had this city had a local police force" is the leftists' cry. Had that city have a god, our G-d, The King of the universe?!.. Think, think of the magnitude of power, imagine the impact! "Local police force", ha! Grow up left, think bigger, think Jewish.
33. Road rage happens everywhere.
Trent Nathan ,   Curacao   (10.20.10)
All over the world road rage is a big problem,it is just as bad as in Israel if not worse.Stop knocking your own country, there are enough of others who are doing a great job of smearing Israel. They don't need your help. And as to Japan it is a very racist country. The people there are arrogant and aloof. Not very helpful to anyone who doesn't speak Japanese.
34. Yes but
Leonie Lachmish ,   Ashkelon, Israel   (10.20.10)
The selfish and dangerous driving Mr Kaniuk was a victim of is too familiar to everyone who lives in Israel. I have taken to extra patient and polite driving as a policy, including waving a thankyou when someone waits for me to leave a parking place even if they were waiting because they wanted it anyway. I believe that if thousands of caring and good drivers like me, do the same, we will make a difference. Things are definitely calmer in the less crowded cities. The content of the article is sad and troubling. Israel has its fair share of loud and unpleasant people BUT it has thousands and thousands of outstandingly wonderful people, including youth, soldiers and students, that I don't think could be found in such concentration anywhere else in the world. They are too busy doing good things for others to be noticed by the media and they would have stopped for Mr Kaniuk to cross the road and invited Mr Tamako home with them for a meal.
35. What are the Americans in the occupied territories gonna do
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (10.20.10)
When they will have to choose between American or Israeli citizenship for themselves or their children? For example, if their kids have to sign the loyalty oath to get their Israel identity card, it could mean loss of American citizenship. America allows dual citizenship only if you do not sign an oath of allegience to country no.2.
36. nonsensical article by an angry person
Mahlon Drumgoole ,   Newark NJ USA   (10.20.10)
This article is a good example of someone projecting his anger onto others. In fact, recent studies have shown that despite the ongoing terrorism, Israelis are among the happiest people in the world. It is truly amazing how a certain segment of the Jewish population cannot deal with imperfections by Israelis. If they witness an individual soldier that is impoliteto an Arab Israeli, they immediately concludethatall Israelis are like the rogue soldier. In contrast, when the terrorists blow up innocent Israelis, they always excuse it by blaming the settlers, the occupation, the security fence, etc as if there weere any excuses for de;liberately killing kids ona bus or in a pizza parlor. Obviously, these rejects don't understand that people who don't care or are cruel to their own cannot be kind to others.
37. please explain
observer   (10.20.10)
'Had this truly been a Jewish state, it would have been able to detain, without a trial, traitors who hatefully refer to Hebrew police officers or soldiers as “Nazis.”' - perhaps the author of those lines would be so good as to elaborate just why this should be so and why these people are traitors. I accept that it is an ignorant and extremely unpleasant epithet, but there are several more in common use that don't appear to bother the author. A follow-up to this article would be appreciated.
38. Fish rots from the head down ,...

Take look at your leaders.
39. not from you, mr kaniuk!
Eshkol Hakofer   (10.23.10)
I would have signed on this article with both hands, if the writer himself practiced what he preaches. I, however cannot forget the way he wrote hatefully and disdainfully of the “whining Sefardis” (real middle east autochtones) victims of terror while showing admiration to the dignified comportment he saw in alien (anti Zionist Martians) Ashkenazi Haredi victims of the same terror.
40. No. 36 Mr Mahlon Drumgoole's respond
Eshkol Hakofer   (10.23.10)
Israelis are among the happiest people in the world. so probably was nero happy watching the giant bonfire called Rome.
41. Hatred in Israel
Izzy Isidore Abraham ,   Amsterdam, Holland   (01.06.12)
Israel needs an Ataturk! First to lift Israel from the dark ages to the 21st century, second to separate religion and state; it means to forbide any religious party in the Israeli government to outlaw the wearing of the kippa or the burka in public, to allow free prostitution and drugs from the age of 14, to establish civil marriages, to force cheap affordable food for everybody, to forbid Ehud Barak to hord houses and steal millions, etc..etc... Then people will be more relaxed and would hate much less. Isidore
