No point in it. It is clear that the bulk of contemporary public opinion in the country runs from extreme nationalism through racism into fascism. The Weimar Republic collapsed because of public opinion at the time, not as a consequence of a referendum.

Barak is not a demagogue. I don't think that he is fit to be PM either, but he does not behave in the same manner that Lieberman does and is much less dangerous to the State and the people of Israel.
35. Will Americans living in Israel lose their US citizenship?
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (10.20.10)
Currently, the USA allows her citizens to take a second citizenship provided they don't have to sign an oath of allegience. That's why when one goes to renew an American passport the first time in Israel, one has to bring a certificate from the Ministry of the Interior here saying citizenship was granted without one. Let's have a vote -- all the Americans who support this law -- are you willing to give up your US citizenship for it?

Senator McCarthy is live and well in the Knesset. It is imperative that decent people who believe in liberal democracy stand up to resist.
