Dear Mr. Carter, What about the Children of Sderot and Gilad Shalit? Who is looking after their Human Rights?

With newly built swimming pools for the kids, upscale shopping malls, fully stocked food courts, upscale places to eat, heck some places rival Las Vegas style eating establishments. Gaza is far from a cage. But last time Carter wrote a book he called it an "open air prison", a remark most people laugh at now since the pictures of the real Gaza have come to light. So now he only calls it a "cage". Oh well, I wonder how much more money he has taken since his last book. BTW he never mentioned anywhere in the book that he had taken such vast amounts of money from Arab sources, an interesting omission, wouldn't you say? So apparently there is no shortage of cement, unless the Palestinians are using glue and cardboard to put these things together. But it is great PR from Jimmy Carter...who has taken well over $20 million dollars from pro-Palestinian sources, and that was at the time he wrote his last book. One he was ashamed to ever debate in front of anybody who was knowledgable about the Middle East. He refused to appear and debate the book, that says it all.

Go to Gaza and Damascus and convince Hamas to join the peace process. I'm betting my money on two things: a-Carter not going to Hamas at all and b-if he does meet them, Hamas will never agree to negotiate full peace with Israel. Any takers? Yo Mr. President? You up to the challenge? Or are you going to stay inside your own gilded cage?

I applaud Mr. Carter as he is someone who looks at this problematic political/religious situation and bases his own opinion after sitting down and hearing both sides. He never allows anyone to influence his own opinion and he is absolutely right by saying the Palestinians are living in a cage. This man has a heart that is hard to find in this day of age. He doesn't want money, glory, fame or a good reputation. He just wants to do good. For everyone who calls Mr. Carter an anti-Semite is simply in denial and needs to have his head checked. There are different ways in dealing with Hamas and enforcing a blockade on 1.5 million Palestinians isn't the right approach. Not only is it wrong in a humanitarian aspect, it's also against international law. Since 2007, ask yourself, has the blockade in Gaza benefited Israel in any way, shape or form? Just yesterday I read an article that said Hamas has obtained anti-aircraft missiles. I have also noticed over the past few years that they are much organized and have kept relatively quiet. To read they have obtained more advanced weaponry just goes to show a bigger power is certainly advising them and assisting them in becoming much more powerful everyday. It is well known history repeats itself so just look at what happened in Lebanon from 1982-2000. If the Israelis really want peace and want to solve this issue once and for all, they must come to the table with every Palestinian organization regardless of their viewpoints. Instead of bashing Jimmy Carter, use your critical thinking skills (if applicable) and have an open mind. Thanks for reading and God bless.
