Stand in front of a bulldozer trying to change the universe to your way of believing and you get run over and die. This is not nuclear rocket science.
2. Sorry for the woman
Jon ,   NewYork   (10.21.10)
Big suffer to parents, but dear Rachel should have stay in the US and enjoy life in peace than going over to another country that's not hers and place her nose when it doesn't belong! Activist....stay home, Israel doesn't need you !!
3. with condolences to the family....
Israela ,   Jerusalem   (10.21.10)
but how is it that one young woman's wrongful and illegal actions against the State of Israel merit more attention than all of the Israelis murdered by terrorists and, lehavdil (separation), to ensure that he returns and lives a long life, our soldier Gilad Ben Aviva Shalit. I am truly sorry for your loss but I am actually sitting here considering filing a class action countersuit against you for violating the sovereignty of my country and putting our soldiers in danger!
4. Naive child
j ,   milwaukee   (10.21.10)
What a naive child, a "shahid" just like the children the Muslim's sacrifice. She was deliberately put in harms way in order to be killed to provide a propaganda coup fro "Palestinians." The Muslim culture of death revealed again, only this time the world cares, because it was a pretty young girl from the U.S. who committed suicide for Jihad, rather than just "another" grubby levant, of which the world could care less about, as long as he is blowing up other people than white Christian anglo saxons. Rachel Corrie was at best naive, but in reality, just a fool.
5. This should not even be in court...
Malone ,   Hfx   (10.21.10)
Corrie died because of her own misguided ideology. Anyone who sits in front of a moving bulldozer ia an idiot, and that is a simple fact.
6. Israel owes nothing to the family
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (10.21.10)
Not a penny... What she did - was her own choice. Putting herself in the harms way - was her choice. Playing with fire can be dangerous. I call it working accident. Case closed.
7. Bulldozer and Rachel Corrie
jeremy ,   New York City   (10.21.10)
I applaud the first 3 comments here. This naive young girl should have stayed home and her parents should actually be held accountable for allowing her to go into harms ways. What were they thinking knowing Gaza is a war zone.
8. well said Israela
sleepless   (10.21.10)
She had no business being there, butting into other country's affairs. Were it the U.S. she probably would have been far worse off-shot by a sniper as she was not supposed to be where she was. I am sorry about her death-so young and I am sure it is an unbearable loss, but she was wrong. She is one among many even younger that suffered because of arab terror.
9. God bless Rachel Corrie, too bad she was mislead and confus
She made tragic mist ,   RIP   (10.21.10)
She made tragic mistake
10. Dear Corrie Family, if a Palestinian terrorist had....
(10.21.10)
murdered your child Rachel would you now be busy suing the Palestinian Authority? Or given your political outlook would you be suing the State of Israel?

12. I can't find it in my heart to feel compassion
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (10.21.10)
for these parents who justify the fact that they had a daughter who went to a foreign country where she had no roots in order to advocate for a cause with which she had no intimate knowledge, endangering herself in the process while being used by political organizations which had their own political agenda without having Rachel's security and safety in mind.
13. Leftist Terrorist Appeasers should NOT come to Israel if
Jason   (10.21.10)
they want to live! Stay out of ISraels business and deal with your own problems!
14. she shouldnt have been there

activists have died in america defending trees.
15. Darwin Awards
Arturo   (10.21.10)
Rachel Corrie died while trying to stop the Janjaweed from raping and murdering black women in Darfur... Oh, sorry, wrong universe! She died protecting the right of palestinians to smuggle weapons intended to murder Israeli women and children.
16. Rachel Corrie, You live in the heart of Palestinians

los ignoramus   (10.21.10)
If israel is a democracy it needs to act as the rest of the free world and not harm demonstrators, even china didn;t run the student with its tanks. israel is guilty here and it will pay.

20. Cause of death
Stephen in New York   (10.21.10)
gross stupidity. If you defend Hamas smuggling tunnels, expect to die. No sympathy for those who stand with Hamas.
21. give that driver a medal!
david ,   new york   (10.21.10)
intentionally or unintentionally he make the world a better place.
22. Erm....
Mr. Man ,   NYC, USA   (10.21.10)
Yes, Israel doesn't need activists from the USA, just all their tax money.
23. A wannabe heroine
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (10.21.10)
RC was a stupid young woman who most definitely was where she did not belong. A closed military zone is exactly that - civilians, especially foreigners, unwelcome and at risk. She foolishly chose to hurl herself in front of the bulldozer. Her death is her own responsibility, shared by the nefarious group she willingly joined. Sad to see a young life thrown away, but not the driver's fault.
24. If he had seen her he would have backed up

25. Rachel Corrie
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.21.10)
... knew the risks of interfering in Israel's activities to repel terrorist actions stemming from Gaza. Had Ms. Corrie lived, she would have been subject to the wrath of the United States courts for having consorted and having aided and abetted a terrorist organization. That her parents are seeking to recoup compensation from the State of Israel is truly despicable. Oh well; they didn't raise her terribly well if they allowed her to go off gallivanting with terrorist scum; now they are suing in order to make money from their daughter's demise. Not a family I would want anything to do with, I must say. Rather disgusting people; parents AND child. The driver of the bulldozer should not lose one second of sleep over what happened to Rachel Corrie. She brought it upon herself. You pays your money; you takes your chances. There is no shortage of worthwhile causes in the United States to which Ms. Corrie could have devoted her efforts; most of them, in fact, far more worthy than the "cause" of a terrorist rabble. And now her parents are trying to profit from their daughter's death. Can it get any more disgusting than that? I don't think so.
26. To: Robert at No. 12
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.21.10)
I wouldn't put it past the terrorist rabble in Gaza to have pushed Ms. Corrie in front of the bulldozer! From their perspective -- what a photo opportunity! They cared nothing for her; Ms. Corrie's death meant more to them than her life. What does that tell you about these "people?"
27. Counter Suit
(10.21.10)
Israel should sue the Corie family and the Palestinians for $100 million for a frivilous lawsuit and the delay in demolishing more Palestinian homes thus delaying new Jewish settlements.
28. To: No. 22
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.21.10)
Oh, shut up. How many times do we have to debunk that myth? That said -- hey, how did the U.S. like getting its first look at the Soviet T-72 tank at the time it was the mainstay battle tank of the Warsaw Pact countries and there was nothing in NATO's arsenal that could pierce the skin of the T-72? Provided by Israel, you know. How did the United States like getting its first look at the MIG-21 and MIG-23? Both provided by Israel, you know. Hey -- all that facial recognition software in place in every major airport in the United States that protects the United States from terrorists? Wow! Guess who gave it to them? Yes, that's right. Israel. The list actually goes on and on and on. The U.S. has derived far more benefit from Israel than Israel has ever derived -- or is likely to EVER derive -- from the United States. You need to shut up and worry about why your tax dollars are going to support the Russians, the Ukrainians, the Uzbekistanis, the Tajikistanis, the Khazakstanis, the Pakistanis, the Iraqis, the Egyptians, the Jordanians, the "Palestinians," the Moldovans and a whole host of other beneficiaries of American taxpayer largesse who have never done a damn thing for the United States. Why aren't you asking THAT question? Stupid, stupid "Man."
29. To: No. 16
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.21.10)
I'm sure that means a great deal to her parents. Why don't the "Palestinians" take up a collection and pay the family the amount that they are unlawfully seeking to recoup from Israel? With the billions of dollars and billions of euros that have poured into the coffers of the "Palestine" Authority, surely several hundred thousand dollars is no trouble at all; I take it you do want Rachel Corrie's money-grubbing parents to move out of their single-wide, don't you? Don't you?
30. Rachel and the train
fred ,   philly USA   (10.21.10)
Yes train. In other words if I was alive in 1940 and was standing in protest in front of a Nazi death train I would be a fool, a meddler or worse?
