The fact of the matter is that had she lived, and returned to the United States, she would be subject to federal charges under six statutes prohibiting contact with terrorist organizations by U.S. citizens. At a minimum, she would have been sentenced to twenty-five years in a federal penitentiary. As you may or may not know, there is no parole under the federal system. Why are you defending this stupid girl; and why are you defending her even more stupid parents? Isn't it immoral to send one's child into harm's way? Did they think that the laws of the United States extended protection to Rachel Corrie in Gaza? They didn't. They don't. Many of the photos, one of which this lawyer is using in his case, were studied by forensic scientists and many discrepancies arose. Namely, the body did not exhibit the crushing it would have received from a bulldozer outright, supporting the dirt mound claim. Second, the shadows on the ground were different than the time of the incident by many hours. Finally, this photo showing no dirt mound contradicts the testimony of the ISMers initially which stated that she fell behind a dirt mound. Let the State bring in the forensics and tear apart the Corrie's claim right in front of them. Do not spare their feelings as they show no remorse for a daughter who knowingly engaged in terror support actions and blocked the destruction of a home used in weapons smuggling (a war crime).

Only ISM, Hamas, Peace Now, and Arab MKs need foreign activists to further their agenda amid the blood of others. For the rest of us, they are a nuisance and perpetuate the elusive drive for peace in the region.

Corrie's actions in Gaza that day, along with other ISMers, is a military action and they lost any civilian protection afforded to them under the Geneva Convention the minute they get involved in such actions - whether it be throwing rocks at the weekly fence protest, act as human shields to protect a weapons depot or smuggling tunnel, or even hide a known, wanted terrorist. For this, Israel needs to act and provide no apologies. After all, it's their right as a sovereign nation under Intl Law and the Leftists are abusing it shamelessly - all around the world.

Actually, I do live in Israel roughly half of the year. That said -- none of my comments were spiteful. I merely addressed the facts of the case. Rachel Corrie volunteered her time and her energies to aid and abet Hamas terrorists who were sending suicide bombers into Israel. She did so very much in contravention of United States law, which prohibits consorting with, contacts with and aiding and abetting terrorist organizations. Hamas is considered a terrorist organization by the United States. Ms. Corrie's parents were fully aware of their daughter's actions, and fully supported the role she played in aiding and abetting a terrorist organization. And now, those same parents wish to recoup a financial windfall from the State of Israel as a result of their daughter's death. How can you possibly condone that? Let me put it this way -- suppose you play with a Beretta that you realize is loaded. You point it at your temple, pull the trigger and BANG -- you're dead. Your parents can try to sue Beretta, but they would not be successful as you died because of your own stupidity and your own willful act, knowing that you were engaging in very dangerous behavior.
