History shows that all parties in power in Israel - right, left and center - are from time to time beholden to the ultra orthodox.
I have no doubt that Kadima would do exactly the same rather than face a no-confidence vote they might lose.
Relatively speaking, the pricetag is cheap, as is Kadima's self-righteousness.

government! Tax all those that did not serve as well as each member of their families. No child allowances and no aid to their institutions.
Not serving in the I.D.F. should mean a sentence in prison with hard labor and a criminal record. No matter if the person is religious or not, Jewish or not, male or female. Even if the person marries at the age of 17 and has a kid.

Because the State of Israel chose to have a socialist government, with divided representation, those who back Netanyahu's group will also want favors.
Torah school is not the issue, the issue how much and who's paying for it.
If Israel becomes totally secular, it's a formula for disaster. Israel needs HaShem to survive. The self-destructive types will be gone in a few years when they grow up and become conservative.
