AFAIK, Hebrew U's department is much smaller today than it once was, and probably doesn't expose one to traditional understandings as much as Bar Ilan might. BI's student body is also quite different than that at Hebrew U. I suspect that plate of kibbeh was quite a treat, especially if done right (Aleppo style). I grew up with it and miss it. My mother is too elderly to make it any longer, and my sisters never learned. (My own culinary skills are rather limited.)
