31. does this article surprise anyone?
david ,   new york   (10.28.10)
does anyone expect anything else from the arabs (including the wonderfully enlightened jordanians)?
32. OK - Where are the accusations from the Left re persecution,
Ron ,   Melbourne, Australia   (10.28.10)
OK - where are all the leftists marches ? Where are the Arabs complaints, etc - Or as usual it is only Israel they choose to attack.
33. Simple Solution
Nathan ,   Raanana, israel   (10.28.10)
Don't go to Jordan. They don't want us there so go elsewhere or stay home.
34. I actually know about the skullcap thing
dorothy friend ,   tel aviv   (10.28.10)
Who decides what traditions get passed down? There are plenty of finer things that the Jews can pass down from 17th/18th century Eastern Europe than fashion.
35. I must say their right....
(10.28.10)
They are absolutely right. To walk into Jordan, the lions den, whilst wearing a kippah is foolish. It just invites a kidnapping or terrorist attack. Anyways Jews shouldn't go to Jordan, they do not want us there, it is not a friendly place.
36. Is Hashemite Kingdom about to end?
leo ,   usa   (10.28.10)
37. That should be common sense anyway.
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.28.10)
Ever hear the expression, "a dead giveaway". duh!
38. palestine aka jordan is a racist entity !!
Don Rosenberg ,   Palatine USA   (10.28.10)
Jews should be able to travel in jordan in safety will or without kippah. If not, no Jews should go to jordan. They are racist, fascists just like most muslims.
39. What is the point: Almost identical policy on Temple Mount!
Nethanel ,   Gush Etzion   (10.28.10)
The Israeli police also single out kippa-wearing Jews and does not allow prayer etc. As long you are secluar and do not act Jewishly you are free to go on Temple Mount. The presence of Jews, and particular who look and act as jews, is a provocation to the Muslim world and this is basically the core of the whole conflict. Saudi-Arabia bar Jews at all, and all non-Muslims from Mekka. It is part of the culture already.
40. Putting it away vs. confiscation
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (10.28.10)
How are tefillin in one's bag drawing attention to oneself or a provocation? It's worn in private, not on the street. If Jordan were concerned with our safety, they'd recommend we keep it, along with our kippot, in our bag. But no, they're confiscating it. And who else confiscates such articles? Saudi Arabia - which confiscates Bibles and any other non-Islamic religious articles. Jordan, at least, doesn't destroy such articles. Guess we should be thankful for that.
41. #9 - then you wouldn't mind Muslim beards shaved in EU
William ,   Israel   (10.28.10)
bye bye religious symbols
42. #22 - please explain Arab racist attacks in 1920
William ,   Israel   (10.28.10)
and 1929, targeting and massacring ONLY civilian Jews. That's a whole 20+ years before the Independence of Israel and any "policies" they could be upset with. Same too with the ethnic cleansing of Jews from E. Jerusalem, Gaza, and West Bank in 1948. Finally, when Imams preached their hatred on a daily basis, they don't say "damn Zionists", they say "damn Jews". I think they made their point very clear - it's you who missed it.
43. Did the Pope have to take his yarmulka off when he went to J
mk ,   stamford   (10.28.10)

steve from Raleigh   (10.28.10)
Israel needs to ban Islamic materials from Israel.
45. To: No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.28.10)
Hate to break the news to you, but we are talking about religious Israelis, not Frenchmen. Why should actions taken by France to restrict Moslem hijabs have an impact on Israelis entering Jordan?
46. So ban all Muslim-Arab headgear for those coming from Jordan
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (10.28.10)
A sign of the worthlessness of the Foreign Ministry that they are continuing to "discuss" this mindless anti-Jewish religious bigotry with Jordanians, instead of ordering retaliation in kind - no yarmulkes, then no kafias or burqas can come into Israel or the W. Bank from Jordan. The IDF t-shirt example in the article makes 100% clear that "security" has nothing to do with Jordan's anti-Jewish action. One more example of the worthlessness of land-for-peace treaties with Arab countries: once they get the land, they walk away from peace/normalization commitments. Just look at Iranian missiles for Hamas flowing across the demilitarized Sinai, where they are banned by treaty.

Tamhighpoint ,   USA   (10.28.10)
You don't wear your yarmulke in Scotland NOT BECAUSE OF THE SCOTS, but because of the MUSLIMS in Scotland. The Muslims are a cancer to all of the societies of the world, and we in the West must get a grip on what in the world is going on!
48. Instead of Kippa then use Koufi in Jordan.
Phoenix ,   Israel   (10.28.10)
The same Use even the word has the same root. It is legal to use a Koufi instead of Kippa cause perform the same function.
49. #1 We must thank Ynet
Shalom   (10.28.10)
for the daily bashing crap. The day they and other anti-religious anti-Semitic Jewish media stop bashing haredi and religious Jews we have something to worry about. It’s a sign that hints that we are becoming like them, Gd forbid.
50. our peace partner
Issy Hass ,   Ra'anana-Israel   (10.28.10)
why bother to visit such country.how ever can we find a friendly Arab country?
51. Yarmulkes
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (11.01.10)
The Jordanian Authorities mean well,to ban the yarmulke, given the hostility of the Jordanians toward Israel,at the same time the Jordanians have no problem drinking water provided by Israel on a yearly base,if Jews are not welkome in Jordan or Egypt they should stay away from those countries, and the same goes for Diplomatic relations.
