31. THE JEWS OF ISRAEL ARE BEING SWINDLED
Marcella   (10.29.10)
By a fatal coalition of Israeli leaders, Arabs and "allies". This government's only concern is not to break up the coalition. You and your country are being sold down the river by people you still trust! Ten years from now you'll look back at 2010 and ask yourselves why you did not react while all these things were being done to you. Your children and grandchildren will ask you too, once a besieged Israel goes into decline, and is slowly dismembered as the Arabs make more and more demands. Mobilize!! Demand immediate annexation.
32. landlease
hebrew prophet ,   israel   (10.29.10)
It seems as if Abbas ,Erekat,Shaath ,As rawi ,Barghouti and other PLO/Fatah intellectuals, conmen, rogues and thieves are already setting up their own pieces of land where they can erect mansions etc. at the expense of their so called brethren, nothing new .
33. no.12
hebrew prophet ,   israel   (10.29.10)
That,s your biggest problem Salma ,too much dreaming ,even after 63 years of being given a Palestinian homeland ,in Jordan ,keep on dreaming ,inshallah .
34. to 18 zionist forever - where is god?
ygalg ,   israel   (10.29.10)
35. A sickening idea....but look where it comes from
Ehoop ,   UK   (10.29.10)
The enmity of Israel's surrounding foes has cost too much blood on both sides. There was never a need for it, they are at fault and nothing has fundamentally changed. Now Abbas wants an apartheid state free of Jews. The best way to emphasise the difference between the Israeli and "Palestinian" attitudes is for Israel to maintain Jerusalem undivided, under Israeli sovereignty and open to all.
36. Jewish homeland is not Guantanamo Bay
USA   (10.29.10)
37. Dreams
Barbara ,   St. Augustine, USA   (10.29.10)
IN YOUR DREAMS....YOU MORON.
38. Israel leasing Palestinian lands
Harold ,   USA   (10.29.10)
It is a very bad idea because IDF stays on Palestinian lands and can do whatever they want to do. Abbas did say that no Jews live on any part of the Palestinian State.
39. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.29.10)
That's right! Thanks for reminding me. You people owe a heckuva lot of money to Israel for having illegally squatted on Jewish land for so many years ..... pay up!
40. Noodles
(10.29.10)
Hi. My name is Charity. ;-)
41. #5 - Arabs demand back land they actually sold to us
William ,   Israel   (10.29.10)
and which we have the deeds for. If you're looking for a legal or moral basis for their actions, you're wasting your time.
42. #12 - we'll just take it again in the next war you start
William ,   Israel   (10.29.10)
the lease option is to buy us more time to watch you make tons of racist mistakes. I don't think it will take 40 years....possible 40 weeks only for your ilk to accept the agreement, sign it, then launch another failed intifada targeting civilians because your moonbat god told you to. The end of the story is still the same - Jerusalem remains united, in Israel's hands.
43. #14 - haha, Israel the bad neighbor?
William ,   Israel   (10.29.10)
Such a terrible neighbor that supplies an infrastructure, agricultural aid, and water. I wish I had bad neighbors like these - my fuel bill is skyrocketing! Arabs started all the damn wars (and lost) and every agreement Hamas and PLO signed they broke within days. Arafat admitted to his intentions of the Oslo Accords to a supposedly closed audience of Muslims in South Africa. "Palestinians" are good neighbors like the drug cartels are to US border towns.
44. #14 - you forgot that ethnic cleansing is a war crime
William ,   Israel   (10.29.10)
and those "squatters" in Jerusalem are really the people that were illegally ethnically cleansed in 1948 by the Arabs. Both legally and morally, Jews have the rights on all parts of Jerusalem here. Jordan admitted to that fact, and so did the Arab homeowners in Sheik Jarrah that, despite acknowledging the home wasn't their's, demanded to stay in it forever for free. Only UK and Pakistan accepted Jordan's illegal annexation of the land, which means the ethnic cleansing remains unsettled and must be fixed before any future agreement is made.
45. This U.S. administration is mentally deranged
jason white ,   afula,israel   (10.29.10)
from b.o. on down. How about the arabs paying us for our not their land. They are the illegal trespassers on Jewish, not arab land. I hope all the "jews" in the states are happy with their backing of b.o. and hitlery clinton. Just like you helped kill the Jews of europe during WWII with your roosevelt and your silence, you are going to help kill another 6 million in Israel.
46. give up any part of Jerusalem & Tel Aviv is under threat
zionist forever   (10.29.10)
Sharing even 1 inch of Jerusalem not only is immoral but it's also a threat to national security. This so called peace process is based on the assumption that everybody will make peace but the reality is even if some arabs make peace there will still be plenty of others looking to become the next martyrs. We can build barriers, have checkpoints to check for weapons but what do we do when Jerusalem is a shared city? The palestinians can bring weapons into Israel via Jerusalem and from there drive to Tel Aviv or anywhere else they want. Learn from the Gaza example and don't give the palestinians access to Jerusalem in the name of peace making.
47. American version of tax (Jizya) on "infidels" for Muslims?
Thomas ,   Lima, Peru   (10.29.10)
"Question: Does Islam require people of other faiths to pay money to support the Muslim religion? Summary Answer: Absolutely. Muhammad very clearly established that people of other religions have to pay a poll tax to Muslims called the jizya, as a reminder of their inferior status. This abrogates an earlier verse stating that there is "no compulsion in religion" and destroys any pretense that Islam is merely a religion and not a political system. " The Qur'an: Qur'an (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."
48. I've been reading some of your talkbacks and I'm puzzled
Schreiber   (10.29.10)
Quite a few of them aim their anger at Obama and don't even mention the fact that it's your very own government that's willingly participating in these plans. Israelis can't stop the US president from saying whatever he wants, but you have or should have the power to stop your own government from collaborating with these nefarious plans. So, people, how about reminding yourselves that the Israeli government should be answerable to the Israeli people?
49. Is this a joke ?
AlbertoGA ,   St. George, USA   (10.29.10)
If it is a new invention from Obama I am not surprised. In any case he is on the way out.
50. think
eli   (10.29.10)
just imagine, what 40 years is...it alsomst 40 years since the Yom Kipur war. so what do you think will change in 40 years, this is absolutley nuts.
51. RELAX Everyone! This is NOT part of the future!
Israeli 2   (10.29.10)
52. #4 - ok, who is the owner?
William ,   Israel   (10.29.10)
We could pay rent to the Ottomans, but they lost the land a long time ago. To the Brits? Well, no, they were just administrators of the Mandate. To the League of Nations? Currently defunct. Hmmm...to the "Palestinians"? No, they never owned the land so they don't deserve the rent. I guess we'll just pay it to ourselves, the people who actually hold the land deed and the 62 year old sovereign right. The check is in the mail....to me!!
53. #38 - Abbas' demands are racist and cannot be accepted
William ,   Israel   (10.29.10)
In no case will the UN and Intl community accept a sovereign State that has the first directive of ethnic cleansing (62 years after the last ethnic cleansing of Jews from the same region). If land is leased, Abbas has no claim to it throguh day-to-day activities, just as the landlord of your apartment can't dictate what you do inside his house. But its a moot point as the land isn't Arab anyway, so leasing it to the "Palestinians" is like my handing lease funds to my neighbor for the car I already own outright.
54. Final Status aka Final Solution...
Dan S   (10.29.10)
Israel should dump the "alliance" with the US, since its non-existent anyways. Anyone who thinks that Obama's administration will do anything on Israel's behalf is either naive or deluded. Also, notwithstanding the lip service many Americans give to their opposition to fanatical Islam) most Americans are concerned about having money to buy food and basic needs and are not ready to shell out more money and resources to prosecute yet another Middle East conflict. I can't blame the latter group for its sentiments either. The point is, there is no more benefit in pursuing this phony "peace" arrangement - not international, not diplomatic, and not economic. The very countries Israel sought to placate are in the same economic and political abyss as the US, and really cannot afford to actualize any full economic boycott of Israel or any other Middle East country for that matter (Iran is a good example) This is a matter of our own survival and our own destiny. I don't understand why it is so impossible for certain Jews to get beyond the perceived need to please everyone else and instead claim what is rightfully theirs. If we fail in this instance, it will be us and no other nation at fault. And if the landscape of political ineptness in Israel prevents us from doing what needs to be done, than we need to do away with those at our head and replace them by whatever means necessary - and soon.
55. 12 A Dream within a Dream.
JUDAH THE LION   (10.29.10)
Enjoy your dreaming and have fun !!!!
56. Israel asked to lease land from the Arabs
Judith ,   Rishon, Israel   (10.29.10)
Why in the world would Israel agree to such a ridiculous idea. Eretz Yisrael belongs to Am Yisrael.
57. Leasing Land
Leon ,   Adelaide, Australia   (10.29.10)
How can one lease his own land from another who doesnt own it ???
58. Just curious
Fugi   (10.30.10)
vis-à-vis any idea why we are using french when face to face is proper? oops!!! face to face is also french. must be more than a 4 eyed conversation.
59. Do you think we will have peace one day ....with the Amercan
(10.30.10)
60. Fugi #58
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (10.30.10)
Two reasons to use vis-à-vis. First in English it is face-to-face or concerning between two sides. Second Israel is a country that uses many languages.
