I've said it many times and its coming true. Get all kids to study Math, English and Physics at the HS level and make sure they master these topics before graduating HS. I did so in Montreal over 40 yrs ago in a local Yeshiva...It was thanks to that grounding in the Maths and Sciences that I was able to work in a lucrative field over the past 30 years and today, I am BH ready to retire while still in my mid fifties. I thank G-d my Rabbis at the time, all holocaust survivors I may add, saw how important a secular education coupled with Torah studies would be. They were light years ahead of the so called Rabbis of today. They didn't preach messianic voodoo idol worshiping but the importance of menshlichkeit and erlichkeit. Torah and Avodah go hand in hand.
