Yes ..Yes... we are living in this ethno-phobic Israeli Society....... I agree with you. Arrogance and egotism live in our hearts on this land.

Racist? Really? What "race" are we talking about? Catholics? And what should the Jewish commenters say? Should they pretend like they believe whatever accusation the church is currently making up against the Jews?
34. Catholics are 23% of US while Jews are 1.6%
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (11.02.10)
There are about 70M Catholics in US, about 30% of Congress and 75% of US Supreme Court. At a time when Israel needs US support and more so in Congress, making Vatican an enemy is not a smart move. Add S. America and EU to this mix and it become very dangerous for Israel.

Please do not exaggerate and amplify how many Jews have been massacred. This will make others see us as liars.....!!

I suggest you read "Constantine's Sword." The most telling statistic in that book is that had the Jewish population in Christendom been left to the vagaries of natural increase and decrease, the world's Jewish population would today number 330 million. There are approximately 12.5 million Jews in the world today. That's not amplification or exaggeration -- it is FACT. No matter how hard you try to whitewash it, the stain just won't go away.

The Catholic Church has been at war with us for 2,000 years. We have never and I repeat never been the aggressor. The same with Islam, they attack and we defend.
39. a DONKEY TALKING ABOUT LONG EARS
Jorge ,   Tegucigalpa   (11.03.10)
This Irish catholic priest has no memory or recollection of what Catholics have done to Jews and that Ireland was a de facto ally to Hitler during the war or how incredibly antisemitic the Irish Republic is. as far as his complaint, he should clearly point out who the burglars are, or who is harrasing his church, most likely Muslim extremists, those are their ways, talk about bias and discrimination, look yourself in the mirror "Father" O Sullivan and you will see how long your "ears" are

42. East Jerusalem Church
John DeLancy ,   Alaska, USA   (11.03.10)
Last week, the RC Church demanded - not suggested but demanded - that Israel remove itself from the lands the Arabs who call themselves Palestinians say Israel is "occupying." This includes East Jerusalem. If Israel had left that day, then the church in this article would be left to the famous tolerance and tender mercy of an Islamic state. For examples, you need only look at the treatment Christians receive in Saudi Arabia for official Islamic government (or Iraq last Sunday for private Islamic individuals) attitude toward Christians, Catholic or otherwise.

1. There are six Roman Catholic justices and three Jewish justices. No Protestants. 2. While Protestants (particularly Evangelicals) and Orthodox Judaism are on the increase, Roman Catholicism is in severe decline. 3. South America? Oh, pray tell, what does Israel have to fear from Paraguay? Peru? Ecuador? Uruguay? 4. The majority of states in the European Union have Protestant majorities. Except for France, certainly the stronger members are all Protestant countries. Was there a point you wished to make, or are you just being your usual delusion self?
45. Incredible hutzpah of the Catholic Church
Michel ,   jerusalem   (11.03.10)
My neighbour in Talbyeh, a Capucin convent, not only doesn't pay local taxes but refuses to hand a garbage container. They filth all the neighbourhood except their entrance.. During months the made heavy works and NEVER stopped on shabbat, nor Rosh Hachana nor Yom Kippour or Souccot despite the Law and our claims. And now they have the huzpah to complain..

One has to look at the equation from a different point of view. 1) in terms of Christians in the USA, most are Protestant and support the Jewish state. 53% vrs 24% Catholics. However, even much of the Catholics support Israel, even though Church leaders don’t seem to portray the same idea. 2) It is true that Catholics and Jews have not got along in the last 2010 years ( a fact that would actually make Jesus furious by the way) however keep in mind the Catholic church does not see Jews as a threat rather they fear Islam. Today the Church is on an appeasement course, this until they are pushed to the wall, and then they will support Israel (for the first time in history). Islam and Christianity are heading for a front end collision.
48. Converting
HishamAbbasFan ,   USA   (11.05.10)
If anybody wants to know why I converted out of Judaism, I will only have to refer the person to this article and the accompanying talkbacks. Utterly shameful. As though Fr. O'Sullivan has done anything to any of you or any other Jew, for that matter.
