1. SO NOW WHO CAN BE ACCUSED....
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (11.02.10)
...of collective punishment? I wonder if the UNHRC will have anything to say about Dubai. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
2. Dubai loves terrorists
ya'akov ,   raleigh, USA   (11.02.10)
So, Dubai supports Hamas? Why am I not surprised? And with zero evidence too. This is a fool move by Dubai.
3. "International" forums where Israel is excluded
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (11.02.10)
An "international" chess match in Libya - where Israel is denied access. An "international" tennis match in Dubai where Israeli players are denied access. An "international" economic forum where Israelis are excluded. Countries which insist on barring entry or participation by Israelis should not be the venue for such gatherings.
4. Another urban legend
Sarjoon ,   Dubai   (11.02.10)
Peace can be acheived through economic ties = let us reap the benefits where we can without stopping hostilities, occupation and crimes against humanity.. yah crimes Iran is a common threat = use scare strategy with Arabs .. they are rich but we can fool them dah
5. Good to see someone from Dubai reading the Jpost
Mike ,   Oxford UK   (11.03.10)
Hope your police chief doesn't arrest you on charge of being a mosad spy!. But seriously... Peace starts with small steps, reading news from the other sides perspective, meeting with each other, gaining trust. Once each side learns the other side is human too, peace becomes more likely. I may not agree with everything you write... and you likewise about me, but welcome! talking is a start!
6. Dubai
Peter ,   Australia   (11.03.10)
When will the world learn NOT to have any meetings of any kind in a country, where anyone participating will be banned. Never mind where they come from or whatever reason.
7. If Dubai wants to host international events like the WEF
Zvi   (11.03.10)
then it must allow leaders from all countries to attend. Otherwise, it should be barred from consideration as a host.
8. Not that I justify Dubai...
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (11.03.10)
But Gila Gamliel is totally unsuitable to represent us in such forums. To this very day I still don't understand how this antipathic, scheming "combinatorit" with very limited skills, made it this high. If she were to advance based solely on her aptitude, she would never have made it beyond secretary.
9. #4, Sarjoon, I do not envy you, for living

UNDER THE GUN of the mad mullahs...
10. what is and what might have been
Roland ,   Miami Beach, USA   (11.03.10)
are just as different as what was and what will be. As global real estate development hubs, both Dubai and Israel face similar challenges to European and American countries ie. global terrorism, narcotics syndicates, human trafficking, and pollution. Likewise, tradition and technology are found juxtaposed in both societies. A tennis tournament was well attended, and well played there. No innocent person was endangered. I sincerely hope that one day Dubai security personnel will accept their own accomplishments.
11. "MODERATE" DUBAI .... IS AN EMBARRASMENT TO THE FREE WORLD
ABRAHAM ben JACOB ,   CANADA   (11.03.10)
12. The price to pay for etrajudical..
Sean ,   Montreal, Quebec   (11.03.10)
...executions? Or the price to pay for being Jewish? Going back to the hit squads which wandered Europe after WWII, the capturing of Eichman, the American Cafe in Cairo and on throughout the years since, Israel has shown a blatant disregard for international law. While this has recently rankled the Emirate, it has a responsibility to all delegate nations. If it chooses to boycott a tennis player or a politician solely on the basis that they are Israeli, they are well within their rights; however this should be made clear to the appropriate governing body and all delegates from the outset. Others who may not want to choose boycotting Israeli, could instead boycott Dubai.
13. #12 As usual Sean, total rubbish.
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (11.03.10)
The "international law" which you so eagerly extol, has never brought to any of the former Nazi criminals, the justice they deserved. Your attempt to undermine the absolute moral validity of the Eichman operation, fully exposes your dreadful ideological affiliation. As for the Dubai operation, I don't recall the great philantropist and do-gooder Mabhouh adhering to "international law" when carrying out his cold-blooded murders against innocent Israelis. I further don't recall the US, China, Russia, or NATO ever adhering to "international law" in any of their wars. Needless to say the Arabs. Of course a country is allowed to boycott an athlete only for his or her nationality. But of course, this country must accept that such move would spell the end of its prospects of hosting any sort of an international sporting event, as well as getting its reputation justifiably shattered.

Why don't you try taking the mote out of your eye and re-read my post?. I don't need to hear you repeatedly trumpeting the shofar of Zionist righteousness. You think it is okay to covertly enter other countries and carry out assassinations? You seem to have no difficulty seeing the criminality in others yet the best you can do in support of the Zionist state, is use the barbarism of the others as a model for your own behaviour. How you missed that I stated Dubai was in the wrong can only be explained by your own blind and dreadful ideological affiliation. Unlike you sir, I am neither a racist nor religionist. Good day and try again when you are capable of not going off half cocked with self pity.
