2. YES YOU CAN!
Talula ,   Israel   (11.03.10)
Kick Obama out! He lied all the way to the White House. That man in the polling booth looks like he's peeing - it must excitment at the thought of a Obama-less America.
3. Mabrook !
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.03.10)

5. Wonderful news !
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (11.03.10)
Glad to see that my Americans can still think independently and not be taken in by the hypnosis of charm. This world needs STRONG anti-evil governments.
6. #3 Don't hold your breath
Cynthia ,   USA   (11.03.10)
But thank you for congratulating the Republican party on this stunning win!!!
7. #6 "Stunning win"?!? Americans are indeed stunned
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (11.03.10)
What stunning win? It was a no-brainer that the Republicans would make big gains. What do you Americans have to look forward to? Not much. You continue to behave like Tea Party Idiots, whining about taxes and abortion and immigrants while your country goes down the toilet. It's unbelievable that there are tens of millions of stupid Americans who think that they don't need to pay taxes, don't need a government, and can be the world leaders forever. Wake up, Cynthia. You are all fiddling while America turns to ashes around you. Your once world-leading country is now chasing everybody trying to keep up. Your education system sucks, you don't want to pay taxes for research, and you expect to keep turning out world-leading technology using what, some rednecks drinking beer and laughing at defeated democrats? Once upon a time "made in America" meant something. Instead of gloating over Obama's loss, why don't you roll your sleeves up and figure out how to get your country back on track?
8. Enjoy the Celebration
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (11.03.10)
The first decision is whether and under what terms the US Department of Defense is to be funded and whether or not to negotiate or just shut it down. That would strand most of the US military overseas without food, or ammunition or fuel if no agreement is reached with Obama. The Republicans did this in 94 when the US was not at war. The US also has to now decide whether or not to default or reauthorize our national debt. Not an easy decision. Congress cannot decide without Presidential acquiescence. The majority is not veto-proof. Have fun at the party.
9. To: No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.03.10)
Dream on. You just lost your last best hope for a "Palestinian" state. In case you haven't noticed, the Democrats suffered a crushing defeat on Election Day. The Democrats retained the Senate, but there are six very conservative Democrats who routinely cross the aisle and vote with the Republicans. Obama is toast.
10. #2, Talula, Obumma got pissed on...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (11.03.10)
11. Mission accomplished
Cameron ,   USA   (11.03.10)
Dem control of Congress is kaput. Republicans just put a collar, and very short leash on our hyper-liberal leader, and he'll spend the remaining years kissing Republican bottoms if he wants any legislation or funding to come about. We wanted this progressive reined in, and reined in he is. Good sense & pragmatism can now raise their heads in Washington again. Two years was enough of that nonsense.
12. 1994 all over again
Jack   (11.03.10)
35 % Wall Street (who are they???) 30 % Bush 23 % Obama
13. So OBAMA is lame duck BUT he is still
Israeli 2   (11.03.10)
the president who from now on together with Michelle Mabelle will spend more and more to destroy the USA. That was their mission and will be for 2 more years...butthis time with a vengeance. $200 million dollars / DAY for his trip to India?!!!!!!!!!
14. Nice but in 2012 we will take all back

17. When a president starts up with Israel, that's what happens.
Shalom   (11.03.10)
18. This election was a referendum on the arrogant economic
seadog1946 ,   Shooters Island, NJ   (11.03.10)
policies of this administration. There is deep seething rancor about the bailout of banks/institutions who encountered heavy losses while engaged in legalized gambling. Frustration at the rate of unemployment caused by globalization... those jobs ain't comin' back... in fact, it's only going to get worse because of a globalist elitist belief that "prosperity" and "opportunity" needs to be leveled throughout the world. Consternation at the collapse of the real estate bubble and the resultant foreclosure fiasco due to the influx of unqualified home buyers compounded by the unemployment issue. Immigration, political corruption, failed unending wars and the calls for another one. It's just the SSDD (same sh*t, different day).
19. #17 - before you jump to conclusions...
seadog1946 ,   Shooters Island, NJ   (11.03.10)
why not wait for an analysis of district voting patterns and poll sampling results to see how central Israel is/was to US voter decisions. Most Americans couldn't point to Israel on a map of the world. Most Americans have never encountered an Israeli... unless they at one time looked askance at a loudmouth foreigner trying to get in the front of a queue.
20. Hussein Obama reached an all time low
Shalom   (11.03.10)
even for America’s Liberal Left Jews who voted for him ONLY for reasons of political correctness although they knew, like we all did, that he is an empty barrel that makes a lot of noise. The Liberal Left came to their senses and noticed that he is a danger for America’s survival. So out he goes!
21. American voters are fickle in 2 years it will change again!
(11.03.10)
and what it actually means is that Obama now stands a very good chance at getting re-elected because he'll be able to pin the blame/responsibility on the Republican party! Wait and see!
22. Brian # 7
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (11.03.10)
You continue to behave like Tea Party Idiots, whining about taxes and abortion and immigrants while your country goes down the toilet. Well Brian, taxes and abortion and immigration problems are part of the reason our country is going down the toilet. There was a time when there was no federal income tax and the country got along just fine. The government controls every aspect of our lives and demands more and more and more. The government owns much of the land taking it off the tax rolls. If that land was privately held and taxed there would be more money than they would know what to do with. Even as the government complains they never have enough money they give our money away in foreign aid to countries that hate our guts when we could use the money here. I'm glad that Cynthia is here and that you are there. We don't need another liberal that thinks taxes and government are the answer to everything.
23. can you hear me now?
agokoy ,   cebu   (11.03.10)
you cannot just willy-nilly say and do anything you want, Obama. you have to listen to your boss, the people.
24. The gubernatorial races were the key
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.03.10)
Don't forget that this is a census year -- governors and State houses will have a great deal of say in the redistricting and reapportionment that will occur in 2011. Keep in mind as well that the president of the United States is not elected by popular vote, but rather by the Electoral College. Who appoints the Electors? You got it. In most cases, the State houses, in a few states, the Governor. Moreover, in most states, the Electors are free to vote as they wish; they are not required to vote in accordance with the outcome of the popular vote in the State. We have had presidents who lost the popular vote but were victorious in the Electoral College. So anybody that dismisses the gubernatorial and State house results yesterday should rethink things.
25. To: Eaglebeak at No. 22
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.03.10)
Very well put. Bravo! I might add that, at least in New York City, between the real estate owned by the United Nations and the individual countries with consulates and diplomatic missions (untaxed), and the Roman Catholic Church and Columbia University being the two largest owners of real estate in New York, some of the most valuable property in the world goes untaxed. That's unconscionable. We also might want to rethink the situation of some of the Native American reservations (not all) that are now billionaire corporations thanks to legalized gambling and control of water rights.
26. To: No. 18
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.03.10)
What do you think would have happened if all those investment houses, insurance companies and institutional investors had been forced into Chapter 7 liquidation? Have any idea of the ripple effect? It's not just the United States, either. Look at the European Union, with Greece and Hungary already bankrupt, and Spain and Portugal on the verge. The credit markets in the Far East are in even worse shape -- Sumitomo Bank, Mizuho Bank, Tokyo Star Bank and Aozora Bank are teetering on the brink. Are you really ready for the world to endure another Great Depression?
27. To: No. 21
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.03.10)
Governors are elected for four year terms. Some state Assemblies (lower house) are elected for two-year terms; most for four. State senators are elected for four-year terms. Only the U.S. House of Representatives comes up for re-election every two years -- the next round will be the same date as the presidential election. Yesterday's election really was a sea change. The Democrats had better not throw up too many obstacles in the Republican-dominated House of Representatives -- we'll only get rid of more of them next time around!
28. Sarah B # 25
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (11.03.10)
Thank you Sarah. You just made my day.
29. #20 - what no calls for another "Great Schlep"?
seadog1946 ,   Shooters Island, NJ   (11.03.10)
We'll see how the vote really went when district voter patterns are analyzed and the results publicised.
30. #7 My sleeves are rolled up
Cynthia ,   USA   (11.04.10)
The election results were an absolute step in the right direction. Turned the tide on an elitist President intent on weakening America and forcing Americans to be dependent on government. Yes we have problems but yes they are fixable. The flip side of unemployment is that Americans are returning to school in droves to enhance their employment skills. California and Israel remain the most technologically advanced centers in the world for innovation, research and development. We do need to bring "made in America" back in order to get people back to work. I'm confident the newly elected Republican leadership will make that a priority.
