1. 'human rights defenders.'
Mikael ,   Boston, USA   (11.03.10)
I live in Boston..Where millions of "peaceful" dollars are raised for the "Human Rights Defenders" of the Irish Republican Army. For some reason... the British Government objects to these "peaceful" activities,.
2. Brits little more than clowns, anymore.
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (11.03.10)
That goes for their national side in football, also.
3. I'm also ok with peaceful demonstrations
William ,   Israel   (11.03.10)
but for 90 years, none of the Arabs have ever demonstrated peacefully. Somewhere in their convoluted minds, the use of snipers, molotov cocktails, and throwing rocks is considered "peaceful".
4. British hypocracy is without limits
Scott ,   Israel   (11.03.10)
Unbelievable - the Brits follow the US into Iraq and Afghanistan (both of which the Brits already screwed over) and kill untold thousands of civilians. Europeans, and the Brits in particular, are so similar to the Arabs. They are both cultures that seem fundamentally incapable of introspection. They are also the two cultures that continually howl at others doing far less evil in a year then they do in day.
5. british true colors shine through
izzie irgun ,   zion   (11.03.10)
the brits have become such a pathetic lot that they are now an embarassement to europe and the free world. Now we have a british minister, who just happens to be the British Foreign Minister traveling to the west bank to encourage non violent protests instead of promtoing peace. what does this idiot think is the message he sent .. that instead of finding ways to eliminate the need for the fence its better to try to eliminate the fence ... don't bother with dealing with the root cause of why the wall was built, to keep out terrorists .. no the stupid british would rather promote conflict than resolution. Lets see if the Palestinians accept the non violent advice. If the EU wants to know why Israelis and their supporters think they are nothing but meddling anti semites, todays speech by the British Foreign Minister is a good reason
6. There is NO such thing as "West Bank"!only Judea & Samaria!
Jason   (11.03.10)
I cant wait for Britain to be taken over by Islam.
7. to#1:i would like to send money to the Irish Republican Army
Kelly ,   NY   (11.03.10)
where in boston?
8. There's a big difference between what..
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (11.03.10)
Palestinian activists interpret what Hague did or said and the truth. He was just being polite... ....being a British diplomat, eh what? They will deem any gesture, nod, smile, raised eyebrow as 'supporting their cause'..including a grepse if there was one. Tahles...he's more interested in developments in Iran, Sudan Yemen and Lebanon.
9. When England finally collapses they have to blame themselves
Jaacov Baumann   (11.03.10)
''He who curses Israel will be cursed !''
10. LOL!!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.03.10)
And the guys who blew up the London tube and tried to bomb airplanes in Edinburgh -- doubtless they are "human rights defenders," too. As is the provisional (terrorist) wing of the Irish Republican Army, right? Someone should tell the British that (i) they are no longer an Empire; (ii) that their pronouncements carry absolutely no weight; (iii) they are becoming a much-scorned laughingstock; and (iv) they need to shut up. Don't they realize that their capital is no longer London, but rather Londonistan? Well, smart, the British have never quite been.
11. Re #8
Andrew Brehm   (11.03.10)
I realise that demanding that Jews be murdered is considered polite these days in Europe, but is it diplomatic?
12. Supporting enemies of HaShem leads to Lost Empire.
Ken Quinn ,   Amsterdam   (11.03.10)
Brits don't know anything, anymore.
13. William Hague spits on us and our gov says nothing ! shame !
(11.03.10)
14. EU first
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.03.10)
Tear down the illegal wall that you have built in Africa to enforce your apartheid regulations.
15. Get it through your thick skulls, Israelis
(11.03.10)
The Brits are your enemies.
16. HAGUE'S TERROR INCITEMENT!!!
David P. ,   Capitola, CA   (11.03.10)
he should be treated like other visitors who abuse and exploit the freedom inside Israel by encouraging incitement that leads to terror and be denied entry
17. 'palestinian' terrorism has built this fence.
Lee ,   Manchester UK   (11.03.10)
Israel - i would fully support you to withdraw your invaluable intel input to help us British! Politicians DO NOT represent a healthy MAJORITY of the British people. STOP helping Britain - it's not your friend ... until you strike more oil than the muslim world could ever hope to have! I 4 1 hope you do and don't sell us any!
18. All Jews are indebted to Britania and Israel should listen
John ,   UK   (11.03.10)
Yesterday was the the anniversary of the Belfour declaration in which HM government granted the jews a homeland in Palestine. unfortunately despite this magnanimaous gesture to create a jewish homeland, some jews remain ungrateful. The offer was conditional on not undermining the rights of arabs citizens of Palestine, unfortunately Israel continues to occupy and persecute them. HM foreign secretary has every right to tell the right wing Israeli Government of the dismay of the british people of its inhumane actions and the country that saved the jews after 2000 yrs of loss must and will demand that Israel change its policy.
19. ***Sarah*** at 10, The Brits are the
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (11.03.10)
enemies of Israel since the days of the "White Paper politics", they are arrogant bastards and lackeys to their ever growing Muslim population...!!!! I despise them completely...
20. Why is there a Security Fence?
Frankie Littlehammer ,   New Herstal, TX, USA   (11.03.10)
Why was the security fence erected? Because of Pali terrorism. Did these Pali 'human rights activists' ever try to stop their fellow Pali terrorists, did they just look the other way, or were they dancing in the streets when Israeli, women and children were killed? I'm afraid the Pali 'human rights activists' only care about the 'rights' of their own kind. Mr Hague ought to apologize to the Israeli victims of terrorism.
21. GB
Moragh   (11.03.10)
B (ritain) is still valid but the G(reat) has long since disappeared!
22. hamas built the barrier; don't like it? talk to them.
dante ,   uk   (11.03.10)
but, it is so, much easier to attack Israel. so, a craven pusillanimous cipher adds his voice to that of the terrorists. too bad for Israel. worse for britain. disgusting little clown.
23. #11 Say that to his face, or why not email him and tell him
Ron Ascona   (11.03.10)
His email will be available on the UK parliaments website. Why not?.. no really why not? I know why, because you know you couldnt afford the law suit and deep down you know what you just said was garbage and you only have the courage to say this on a blog from the comfort on your own couch.
24. #10. Are you in USA or Israel? Make up your mind
malcolm golders   (11.03.10)
Failed aliyah? couldnt hack it and left us? You are either in the USA or Israel, make up your mind. I'll tell you whats even funnier, someone in a country who voted in a muslim president, that helps builds a mega mosque on the graves of US citizens and then has the cheek to slag off one of your greatest allies.
25. Headwinds Ahead!
Mike ,   Portland, USA   (11.03.10)
My last few comments have been rejected. I suspect any criticism of Israel by a Jew is subject to more censorship than if made by a gentile( a perverse kind of discrimination?). I will try again. Israel is facing enormous headwinds. Changing the seating arrangements on the Titanic rather than changing direction will not cut it anymore. In the eyes of the world, Israel is now seen more as Goliath than as David: more as a fence-builder than a bridge-builder. The daily subjugation and marginalizing of Palestinian Arabs is an affront to civilized society. The new powers being given to municipal entities to reject residency by those that are "not our kind" is seen as naked apartheid. Even Haaretz writers think so. Israel' s problem is not its PR and spin. Its the behavior! If Israel continues down the road of separatism it will suffer the fate of the former South Afrikaaner regime. As someone who volunteered on a Kibbutz, harvesting citrus crops, for a half year after the Yom Kippur war, I can tell you I truly understand why my grown children have rejected a free "birthright" trip. Wake up folks. You are on very thin ice. If your relatives or friends won't tell you, who will? Each day more of your American relatives voice the very same thoughts as the British Foreign Minister.
26. Arrogance
Ehoop ,   UK   (11.03.10)
Until William Hague acquires an understanding of historical fact and learns to recognise Palestinian propaganda, incitement and violence for what it is, then his involvement in mideast affairs constitutes a risk to this country, among others, and he should stop lecturing Israel as regards matters where that country is directly in the line of fire.
27. #19 i think someone in Germany should butt out
Daniel Hertzberg   (11.03.10)
You tried to kill us all (Jews), Britain didnt announce genocide. How many Turkish in your land now? 7 million?
28. #27, You are right about the Germans...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (11.03.10)
but this does not make the Brits any better...so what's your point...????
29. #28 there is simply no or never will be any comparison
Daniel Hertzberg   (11.04.10)
between the two. deal with it. thats my point.
30. Non Violent
Ron ,   OC, USA   (11.04.10)
If the there were nothing but non violent demonstrations and not homicide bombers I might agree with the Brit. But, that ain't the case.
