No shortage of reference to the Jews, the Kingdom of Judea, the Kingdom of Israel and Jerusalem, though, is there? Why do you feel continuously compelled to put your abject ignorance on display?

If I had olive trees it wouldn't have bothered me but it bothered this farmer. He has rights too. While being yelled at is unpleasant it does no real harm. I think this could have been handled more gently but the bottom line is that people need to respect each other and also other peoples property. It's a little bit rough on these children but they learned a lesson their parents should have taught them. Don't blame the authorities, they may not be parents either and they certainly are not baby sitters.

It's possible they didn't. The article didn't make it clear. My response was because Israel Israeli's attitude that the authorities involved should be fired and sued and that children somehow have special rights just because they are children. I don't think these children were being bad they were just being children but they do need to be made aware of peoples rights, property rights, and also the fact that some people may over react to things such as this but even so property owners have rights too. I'm not mad at the children or anyone else involved.
34. fact: the kids trespassed and STOLE...

and when the father doesnt see, that this is a wrong thing to do, then one has to question his parental skills... they didnt go and eat some (which would be also not ok), but they left with a BAG of olives...

The article contradicted itself. A "handful" of olives is hardly a "bag" of olives. If its parental skills you wish to question, why not start with the "Palestinians," who use their children as human shields, sell them to be suicide bombers and encourage them to act violently towards Jewish individuals going about their business. Or has the fact that we have had to deal with such despicable "Palestinian" behavior for decades now simply served to blunt your moral compass? After all, you never fault the "Palestinians" for anything; can you try to be just a tadbit even-handed? Can you at least acknowledge that Israel has had to endure six wars, all started by the Arabs and won by Israel, and nearly seventy years of unrelenting "Palestinian" terror and that it is the behavior of the "Palestinians" that is blameworthy and that Jews are merely reacting to decades of violent provocation? If not, why not? Oh, never mind. You don't have to answer the question. I already know the answer.
36. #35 - the police confiscated a BAG, what the father called
eporue ,   europe   (11.04.10)
"a handful"... thats what i understand from the article... about your "start-issue": lets keep it simple and "start" with those being caught - why not ?
37. # 35: what is wrong with Sarah B
Ray   (11.04.10)
anything to justify the theft of a few olives, isn't it easier to say, sure. they stole a warning is in order? NO, we have to open other subjects. how we went from kids stealing olives to Palestinian kids turning into suicide bombers is a little crazy, even for your standard. side note: as if ISRAEL has nothing to do with turning kids into suicide bombers?
38. Kids will be kids, just curiosity
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL/USA   (11.05.10)
Fact is they only picked a few, they're inedible straight off the tree They didn't use them as missiles like the arab kids use rocks The main point is the trees are In Eretz Yisroel, by default they're Jewish property
39. A bag, not a sack
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL/USA   (11.05.10)
A small paper bag can't hold very much, they took them for show & tell They can't be eaten until cured, and nobody is going to cure a handfull of olives You've never seen the olive curing process, if you had, you wouldn't be harping on a couple of olives, which aren't worth pickling because of the effort involved It doesn't matter where you post, it's always nonsense
40. It was a "handfull", not a bag
Ibn Musa ,   The World   (11.05.10)
Teh bag had a handful, what's so hard to comprehend about that ?

Israel has NOTHING to do with turning kids into suicide bombers. Muslim authority figures were raising their young to lie (taqqiya), steal (claiming all non-muslims' property as their own in captured cities) and of course kill (jihad) for centures before the Almighty called this chosen, the children of Israel back to the Promised Land. Even after Israel was reestablished, in other lands (like the Iran-Iraq war) Muslims were sending their younger soldiers on suicide (so-called martyrdom) attacks against their enemy Muslims. In September of this year, anti-semitic France faced a very real threat from a female suicide bomber. So no - Israel has NOTHING to do with Muslims raising their young to be suicide bombers. Bullies blame their victims, and you are agreeing with the Arab bullies who blame Israel for the Arab bullies' own evil. (note: THIRD attempt. All 3 tries have been free of profanity, reasonably phrased compared to other posts here and factually accurate - what is wrong with this post???)

Sara, Your are indeed an ignoramous. you repeatedly mention West bankers as having Jordanian citizenship. They do NOT. You can cite any law you want. They still do NOT! Any way you slice it, you advocate ethnic cleansing of a people from the land they have settled for centuries. The way you project your insecurity makes you one ugly person, Sara. And I'm not Greek, I'm Palestinian, and look forward to NOT running into you when I visit Israel/Palestine or Palisrael, either one is fine. There is a Greek proverb: "Better to stay quiet and play the fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt". Shalom, Salam and Yasou!

Really? I suggest you look up the 1954 Citizenship Law yourself. You might also want to read the UNHCR's pronouncement that attempting to strip West Bank Arabs of their Jordanian citizenship is illegal, because the citizenship was granted IRREVOCABLY to all West Bank Arabs AND THEIR PROGENY. I do note for the record, however, that while you are preaching about a "Palestinian" state, you remain comfortably in Greece, having declined to go help the "Palestine" Authority build a viable entity. For that matter, I'm not particularly surprised, because not a single Arab living in Israel has shown any interest in moving to help build a viable "Palestinian" entity, either. Contrast that degree of indifference with the Jews who flocked to Israel -- including many who came from some of the wealthiest Jewish communities in the world -- in order to help build a powerful and thriving State of Israel. I guess that's why there will never be a "Palestinian" state other than Jordan. The "Palestinians" have never done anything to prove they really want one, except try and supplant Israel through war and terrorism. And what has that gotten you? Absolutely nothing, except whatever good will Israel may ever have had towards the "Palestinians" has been irretrievably lost. By the way -- there is a difference between "settling" and "squatting." And the "Palestinians" have never demonstrated any respect for the land -- do you think we do not know what it looked like before the Jews from the First and Second Aliyot pushed back the desert and drained the swamps; reforested the land and painstakingly planted orchards and groves? Do you think we do not know what the West Bank was like in 1967? Some "stewardship." If you love something, you take care of it; the "Palestinians" (as is amply documented) could not be bothered to take care of ANYTHING. Judging from the enormous apathy that "Palestinians" living abroad and Arabs living in Israel have demonstrated in the twenty years since the "Palestine" Authority was established, you still cannot be bothered to take care of ANYTHING, and you remain remarkably indifferent to actually working to build a "Palestinian" state. Paying lip service won't do the trick. There's actually a lot of backbreaking labor and hard work involved. You are well advised to heed your own advice -- and keep your mouth shut (or your hand off the keyboard, as it were).

My comment had to do with the right of Arabs to disapprove of how Israeli children are raised. However, if you'd like to stay on the point of theft, I can do that, too. Do you have a clue as to how many citrus fruits and avocados are stolen by Arabs from Israeli kibbutzim? There, now! We're back to the subject of theft. Looking forward to your response.
