1. Israel is a light unto nations
James ,   Canada   (11.04.10)
Israel is becoming more fascist by the day. I guess even Jews are susceptible to embracing fascist/racist ideologies.
2. oh my god!!!
gawain ,   israel   (11.04.10)
"his decision to build a medical school in town will attract many non-Jewish students." now isn't that too heinous for words. non jews studying in a jewish city and breathing its holy air. what will they think of next (these "goyim" may even want to ride the city buses (and will they have to sit in the back???)
3. #1 - Indeed we are the light unto the nations.
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (11.04.10)
But don't stop at that. How about - we are the people that dwell alone? It's a simple matter of not willing to have a hostile arab population in it's midst. There is nothing racist about it. At worse - it's called self preservation. When (or if....???) arabs will stop their terror against the Jews, when (or if...?) they will renounce their claim to the Land of Israel - at that point there might be an admission of the arab students to the Jewish schools. But it will be much better - if they leave alltogether and will enjoy dwelling among their brothers and enroll into such renown schools as UoM (Univ of Mecca?) UoER (Univ of Er Riad?) UoA (univ. of Amman) and many other places of higher learning - that are, needless to say, dotting the vast Arab world in huge(!) numbers....
4. #3 And do you think All Jewish students
Leon   (11.04.10)
should leave the US, EU, SA, etc and only study here?
5. Leon (4)
sk ,   USA   (11.05.10)
Personally, I think that all Muslims should live and study only in Muslim lands, which do not include the US or Israel. This is because Islam brings only barbarity and death. The Arabs of Israel do not pay income taxes and are an overwhelming drain in too many ways to list. They are also, nearly to a man, traitors. They also violate Halacha because they endanger Jews and do not recognize the Land as Jewish. Therefore, Halacha is very clear that they should be expelled forthwith. Not all values are Christian (or post-Christian-Humanist) values. Thanks.
6. BTW, Leon
sk ,   USA   (11.05.10)
The Arabs do indeed intend on taking over Safed. This is typical. "Mixed" cities tend to become Arab, just as "mixed" countries become Muslim because of Muslim terror. Enough!
7. #4 - You missed the whole point...
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (11.04.10)
Jewish students in the US, EU or SA are not stating that these lands were stolen from them and the minute they will either have a chance or will become a majority in these lands they will do away with the other people and will rename those contries to "ISRAEL". That is the difference. The arab population in the Lan of Israel is HOSTILE to the Jews. They don't want to live in the JEWISH country. They want to get rid of the Jews. That's their goal - which (despite the circus of Oslo) has never been voided.
8. Canada guy
Hm ,   Argentina   (11.05.10)
So.... What say you to the unfortunate situation that Jews cannot enrol in Arab schools, live in Arab villages? Are Israeli Arabs facist too?
9. Are there any Jewish students in any Arab country's medical
schools?   (11.05.10)
10. #5 OK I get your point - do you?
Leon   (11.05.10)
You say Muslims should live and study only in Muslim lands and you want them out of Israel. Many Israelis feel this strongly and are working for this outcome. But this is ethnic cleansing is it not or is removing 'others' when done by Jewish Israelis something different - what is it? And I realize not all values are Christian (or post-Christian-Humanist) values but what are you saying exactly ethnic cleansing can be done in Israel but if there should be a 'nationalist revival' in some European country and they felt that they were a chosen master race and they wanted to bring all of their living descendents back home that they would be justified in finding some soulution to removing those citizens who were not well whatever the nationalists stipulated the ethnic/cultural origins required?
11. to#10 the legal guy
Marcelo ,   Berlin / DE   (11.05.10)
what about france with its EU native guys been expelled? do you live day-by-day in Israel? have you even been to israel or are you just talking as always against Israel showing your poison?
12. the medical school is a great idea
observant resident ,   Tsfat   (11.05.10)
and we also need a proper university and a world class yeshiva or two. this would attract a great range of people to Tsfat in keeping with its character of being 'kol b'yechad' Tsfat could also have a proper kabbala school teaching high level kabbala to selected advanced students of the world class yeshiva. We also need some decent industry (preferably hi-tech) to attract and keep young people in Tsfat. not to mention a really good hotel for visitors to stay in instead of being in hot and humid Tiveria. The mayor is doing his best to attract more tourism etc.
13. zero tolerance for racism
Jin ,   Brisbane, Australia   (11.05.10)
Racism is unacceptable, period, doesn't matter who does it. Any person or country which practises racism undermines themselves. Real democracies are polities for all their citizens, with equal rights and protections for everyone.
14. #11 Marcelo - the native guys
Leon   (11.05.10)
I am at a loss for just what you meant by " what about france with its EU native guys been expelled?" Are you alluding to the recent destruction of Roma dwellings and the harassment and threats of expulsion? I am not for scape goating people and am uneasy with what little information I have on the situation - but I don't understand the point you are trying to make - what exact situation are you talking about and what is your view on it and really why are you bringing this up at all - please explain. Is it just changing the subject like "Hey what about Blood diamonds from Africa or Dafor bet you don't care about Darfor!" I do not live day to day in Israel and my time in Israel has been very limited - I am not (In my humble opinion) spewing hate or poision. I am responding to a paticular comment made in a talk back to a specific news article - I am concerned that much of what I hold dear is either non existant or is under of destruction by people whom I thought I shared a common outlook, culture, and place in the world - pray for me.......
15. Jin (13) you love racism
sk ,   USA   (11.08.10)
Your hatred of Jews is manifest in everything you write here. If you really opposed racism, you would actively oppose Islam, which is based on racism. Anyway, "Muslim" is not a race, and the real problem is Islam. Ultimately, Islam must be rolled back to Arabia and then be extinguished. Hatred like yours has no place in a civilized world.
16. Leon (10), I don't think you get my point at all.
sk ,   USA   (11.08.10)
According to Halacha (as opposed to Sharia, Christian law, American law, or "International Law"), a non-Jew can live in Eretz Israel only if he acknowledges, in word and in deed, that the land is Jewish and is rightfully controlled only by Jews. The non-Jew must also abide by the Noahide Laws. "Ethnic cleansing" is REQUIRED by Halacha ("milchemet mitzvah") when Jews are being murdered in their own land by non-Jews. Has this even occurred to you? Your "nationalist revival" analogy is rather far-fetched and manipulative, given its Nazi allusions. Israel was founded for Jews. France is for the French; Italy is for Italians. I expect no country to destroy its own culture in the name of some "principle" of "international law." There would be no problem with the "Palestinians" if they didn't want to take over. But they are overwhelmingly Muslim, and their religion is imperialist.
