4. If Netanyahu is smart, he'd follow King David's philosophy
Dov   (11.05.10)
"The choice is his: settlements or peace. He cannot have both' " In Psalm 122:7-9 we read: "May there be peace within your wall, serenity within your palaces. For the sake of my brethren and comrades I shall speak of peace in your midst. For the sake of the House of G-d, I will request good for you." The question has been asked: Why does King David pray for peace twice, and then conclude with a request for "good"? The answer is that while peace is the greatest of blessings, nevertheless, we seek not peace but rather what is good and correct. There are times when we must stand up for what is good for us.
5. Peace?
The Bald Scotsman ,   Medford, USA   (11.05.10)
Is that the same peace as we got in Gaza? Israel cannot afford peace. If we get peace the Arabs will try their best to take the last piece. What kind of peace is that when you have no piece left to live on?
6. Ohhh Sooo generous to give obumma more time to screw Israel.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.05.10)
With friends like him and obumma Israel doesn't need any enemies.
7. We Stalled for Ten Months
Fatima Barrabas ,   Palestine, Texas   (11.05.10)
We kept them waiting for ten months, so we can be generous and give them two more weeks.
8. #1 Have you forgotten to take your tablets again?
Mike ,   Oxford UK   (11.05.10)
Tell me more about these 7 million people that only you can see. Do you hear voices too?
9. Waffle-Waffle: so much 4 NO Preconditions!
American Max ,   USA   (11.05.10)
It is simply absurd how the pa has tried to throw the ball back into Israels court!!! They have lied, waffled, manipulated and murdered...what should we expect from such people. Israel needs to officially ANNEX Judea and Sumaria: the Palestinians have NO legitimate claim to the land anymore! Simply because the EU and the corrupt UN have become immoral orgs, doesn't mean Israel should listen to their nonsense. Enough of this mess. The palestinians do not have enough honor or self-respect to tell the truth: they don't want peace...they want the Jews gone just like the rest of the ME. But that will NEVER happen. It's time to let go of the pipe dream of living in security beside a Palestinian state and shut it down, insulate Israel from it's neighbors and work with the handful of sane nations that are left. The Jew-hating has gone on for WAY too long. It's time to make a permenant stand against those who hate us and NEVER acquiese to their sick, hateful, blood-thirsty demands. NO palstinian state in Israel!!! No!!!
10. To: More threats ... yawn ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.05.10)
"Peace or settlements." No, what will happen is that Israel will annex Judea and Samaria and send its Arab residents packing to Jordan, country of their citizenship (see Jordan's Citizenship Law of 1954, which granted Jordanian citizenship to all Arabs living in the West Bank AND THEIR PROGENY irreovcably). The "Palestinians" have agitated six wars (all of which the Arabs lost) and "Palestinian" violence could not defeat or dislodge Israel despite nearly seventy years of unremitting terror, committed against Jews in Israel and in the Diaspora. The "Palestinians" have on three occasions rejected a two-state solution, including the one in 2000 at Oslo which would have awarded 90% of the West Bank to the "Palestinians" and East Jerusalem as a capital. Israel has not forgotten that the "Palestinian" response to this offer -- one of unparalleled generosity, all things considered -- was to abandon the Oslo Accords and start the second intifada. The "Palestinians" are all out of chances. Israel is pretty sick of the “Palestinians,” and issuing ultimata and threats of renewed terrorism (not that “Palestinians” have ever stopped trying) is really not good for “Palestinian” longevity.
11. To: Mike at No. 8
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.05.10)
LOL! Actually, the poster at No. 1 has been increasing the number of mythical "Palestinians" pretty much daily. A week or so ago, it was only 3.5 million mythical "Palestinians." You're right. Delusional thinking is invariably accompanied by hearing voices, doesn't it? In this case, this guy has the floor of the U.S. Stock Exchange running in his head! (Lots and lots of voices!)
