31. #25 Who's squatting, and who isn't?
(11.05.10)
There's hardly any Israelis in Jordan, your so-called "Palestine".
32. Abbas

But Abbas is still collecting his monthly pay check from the Arafat Swiss accounts ,still being paid by the Palestinian Authority and still building his fancy villa in Ramallah ,what he worry ?
33. Sigh ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.05.10)
More of the same old, same old -- it is really getting old and tired. Jerusalem is Israel's capital city. It is NOT "disputed" territory. The comeuppance here accrues entirely to the "Palestine" Authority. They demanded building freeze after building freeze, they did absolutely nothing positive during those building freezes, and then demand another one? Oh, I think not. Just another in nearly seventy years' worth of really bad "Palestinian" decision-making. Oh well. Looks like the "international support" Abbas was banking on didn't come through. Wonder why. No, I don't really. It's not just the Israelis that have grown completely sick and tired of the "Palestinians." They DO seem to have that effect on a lot of people. Of course, it goes without saying that it is everyone else's fault because, after all, the "Palestinians" are not responsible for anything. Not even terror. What a deluded bunch the "Palestinians" are. But if they wish to continue to hurt themselves irretrievably, who am I to protest? They've been digging their grave for nearly seventy years; why stop now?

Squatters? I'll tell you who the squatters are. Well ... let me put it this way. We all know the history of the Kingdom of Israel and the Kingdom of Judea, correct? (Well .... educated people do; I realize you might not fall into that category.) There has never been a "Kingdom of Palestine." The "Palestinians," as presently constituted, were invented in 1964. Prior to that, whenever anyone referred to "Palestinians," they referred exclusively to Jews. Arabs were just always Arabs, probably because everyone knew that the Arabs residing in Palestine were squatters! They come partly from Syria, Egypt and Lebanon; the overwhelming majority call the Hejaz in Western Arabia home. Is it not enough that the British carved out the vast majority of Mandatory Palestine to create the totally fictitious "Kingdom of the Transjordan," which they did to soothe the ruffled feathers of Feisal (Iraq)'s baby brother Abdullah, who stamped his little foot and said that he wanted to be a king, too? You do not have to thank me for the history lesson. Just learn from it, and stop spouting nonsense.
35. negotiations for?
ed ,   reno, america   (11.05.10)
abbas needs to understand one thing negotiations are two way street and all his demands add up to there being no Israel to negotiate with. and back to the same old argument about not recognizing Israel as a jewish nation until borders settled. what idiocy it doesn't take palestinian borders to recognize Israel as a jewish state. the palestinian borders have nothing to do with the recognition of the fact that Israel has and will continue to be a jewish state!!!!!!!!!!!
36. Sarah B and spouting nonsense

No one should thank you for a history "lesson" that could have copied direct from Joan Peter's "book".. which has been proven by numerous scholars to be a collection of fabrications

Out of curiosity ... please tell me why Israel should make peace with: (i) a terrorist rabble who are bent on the destruction of the State of Israel and the extermination and/or expulsion of the Jewish people (you need look no further than the charters of the thirty-odd "Palestinian" organizations, each of which purport to be the true sole representative of the "Palestinian" people; charters which they refuse to repudiate); (ii) a terrorist rabble that has agitated for no fewer than six major wars (all of which were lost by the Arabs); (iii) a terrorist rabble that has engaged in nearly seventy years of unrelenting terror on a global scale; (iv) a terrorist rabble that refuses to recognize the right of the State of Israel to exist in its ancient homeland; (v) a terrorist rabble that refuses to recognize the nature of the State of Israel as a Jewish state. You opine ENDLESSLY on your take of the geopolitical situation involving Israel and its neighboring terrorist rabble. You have been told often enough that you do not have a single clue of the history involved. I have to second that -- it's true. You are woefully ignorant and your posts are laughable and extremely ill-informed. Get an education, or get lost.

I am sick and tired of smelling the stench that that man called "president" spews constantly on Israel. Let me repeat: JERUSALEM IS JEWISH.JERUSALEM IS JEWISH. JERUSALEM IS JEWISH. And Israel has every right to build anywhere in it as much as your dear friends the British, French, Obamas are entitled to build in London, Paris and Washington, respectively. And ynet, get him already out of your front pages. He is disgusting , to say the least, and you will be worse if you censor my reaction.

Why Israel ( The state of Israel) has to share any space or land with arabs, why why? Who's decided to bring more muslims in our country, for what? Israel don't need more terrorists, Israel has enough Muslims to deal with, who needs more, maybe Europe? Israel (God blessed) and Jerusalem mentioned so many times in the Thorah is simply JEWISH, and belong eternally to Jews, capito! Am Israel Hai

Oooh, where do I begin? Okay, I know. Jerusalem is referenced over 1,000 times in the Jewish Bible. Jerusalem is also known as the City of David. That would be King David, several millennia ago. Jews have prayed for the peace of Jerusalem, turned towards Jerusalem while praying, and recited "Next year in Jerusalem" for thousands of years. There are historical references and archeological evidence which support Jewish inhabitation in the region going back over 4,000 years. No one denies that there was a Kingdom of Israel and a Kingdom of Judea, and it was populated by the Hebrews. Equally well-documented is the fact that today's so-called "Palestinians" come chiefly from Syria, Lebanon and Egypt, with the vast majority having roots in the Hejaz in Western Arabia. There was never a country or a kingdom called "Palestine." Following the destruction of the Second Temple, it was simply a pass-through for the Moslem hordes as they thundered past heading west. It was fought over by Crusaders. It was a territorial possession of the Ottoman Turks and a Mandate under British control following the defeat of the Turks in the First World War. Jews belong in Israel. We have always revered Israel. Your lot, on the other hand, worship a meteorite which fell in the Arabian desert. There is no mention of Jerusalem anywhere in the Qu'uran. Between 1948 and 1967, your people defiled Jerusalem. You blew up no fewer than 48 synagogues. You desecrated graves and used Jewish gravestones to pave latrines. You used the Western Wall of the Temple as a garbage dump. Put that in your historical smoke and pipe it.

47. THE BS ARTIST IS BACK
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (11.05.10)
First Israel put into place a 10 month building freeze, something H. Clinton praised at the time as unprecedented for Israel. It was done to show the Palestinians that Israel was willing to compromise for peace. So Abbas spends 8 months making additional demands then finally at month 9 decides to sit down and talk. All the time knowing and timing the beginning of the talks to coincide with the end of the Israeli building freeze. Well who's fault is that? The facts are this: Israel built homes. 2008 - Israel built about 2200 homes. 2009 - Israel built about 1800 homes. 2010 - Israel built 0 homes, but has started about 550 since the building freeze ended. Bottom line the statement that Israel is building "ferociously" is silly nonsense. They ZERO homes the last 10 months. Now Abbas seeks to portray Israel as going nuts with building, when in fact Israel built nothing for 10 months.
