Charles, this is something I've been thinking about since I first figured out who the Haredi are and what they are doing. Is maintaining a new generation of people who are as intimately knowledgeable of the Torah as I presume Haredi to be (if they are only studying Torah, they should be incredibly knowledgeable) in itself an irreplaceable service to the whole Jewish family? I think they are, and in fact, I would provide them whatever resources they need, provided they procreate as many offspring as possible and do their study-the-Torah job faithfully. And provided they agree to go wherever I want them to live. New "settlements" (i.e. towns and cities) would have Haredi families seeded among them and they would be required to show to the rest of the settlement what they have studied and how it applies to them . It just makes sense to have a subgroup of the Jewish family whose emphasis would be all-Torah-all-the-time. If they divided up the Promised land into sections for large family groups, I wouldn't even give them a section - studying the torah is what they'd get instead.

Living in Alaska you don't pay for those [ mostly ] worthless students . They don't contribute , for most of them , to the knowledge of tora . I'll remember you that for me the tora is only the History of MY people as there is NO god at all . The same tora "students" abroad are not paid by the countries they are living in . They have to work to feed their family . Another point , they try to impose their lifestyle on everybody here . They do it even abroad , on a "private" way [ by asking you not to drive your car Shabbat , by shouting at you if you do it , and so on ] . I have'nt to love them , only one or two deserve it .

Israel would be much better without most of those charidim , they are only a burden to our Country .

Charles, The reason I believe in YHWH, the G-D of the Scriptures, who created all things, drew out His people from Mitzraim by the hand of Moshe, brought them into the Promised Land, returned them to the Promised Land after the Exile and returned them to the Promised Land again after they were scattered to the ends of the earth is because He has done all these things. You don't have to believe in the Almighty Whom your fathers served and Who is working today to return Jews to the Promised Land. You can stubbornly refuse to believe, even after all nations are arrayed against Israel and He again fulfills his word by delivering Israel from her enemies.
