Amichay was beautiful, loving, generous man who loved life. He has accomplished so much so early in his short life and touched so many lives and he was just getting started. The world will not be the same place without him.

7. The fact if the F-16 is a widow maker ..Its a piece of junk.
Al   (11.11.10)
Israel must divorce itself from the USA in terms of armaments procurement. The USa today cant sew a pair of pants, what makes you think they can produce a jet aircraft? They are a hassbeen nation living on life support. They are carrying a mountain of debt threatening the very fabric of their society. California, New York, Michigan and other former industrial states are close to bankrupcy. Thay are overfed, over indulgent laggards with a lazy attitude and an etitlement mentality. Israel must divorce itself from them as far as military armaments are concerned. Develope your own capabilities...raw materials can be easily had on the open and not so open market. We lost two brave boys because the once great Lavi project was shuttered for personnal and political expediency. Dont repeat such strategic errors again..They can prove to be fatal.

shlomo ,   USA   (11.11.10)
Al- you are probably not a Jew or Israeli but an Arab in disguise. The US makes the best aircraft, commercial or military, in the world by far and anyone with any brains knows that. Admit it...you are just trying to 'stir the pot'. Go back into your cave.

nations of the earth (United Nations coalition) that attack the apple of God's eye, these two pilots will likely be with that Army of God in a greater battle that will deliver Israel from war for a thousand years until there is a final war and Elohim with His Adonai Jewish Messiah will stop the last attempt by Satan to destroy Israel. So there are two more battles for these two pilots after the resurrection of their physical bodies. They will see their families again and if the fiance waits until the Jewish Messiah comes, she can be married to her loved one and have children in the Millenial Kingdom. Eternally, after the Millenium there will be no marriages. But during the Millenium there will be and there will be children, too.

Extending my deepest sympathy and condolences to the families and friends of these precious soldiers. They were the cream of the crop, may they rest in peace.

Joshua ,   USA   (11.11.10)
You are amazingly arrogant and ignorant! For over 50 years now the USA has supported Israel politically and militarily. Some of the best American weapon systems saved Israel from calamity during the Yom Kippur war - I know, I fought in that fateful war. What the hell makes you think that you know the US so well that you can dismiss us as "Overindulgent laggards with a lazy attitude and an entitlement mentality". Have you looked at Israeli society lately?

i wonder, is that a muslim name. another lovely peaceful sentiment from the loving peaceful religion that is built on murder of those who disagree with its beautiful message of misogyny
23. from Gaza?
(11.11.10)
Top Iranian military official says Iran will soon test a new version of its anti-missile system similar to the Russian made S-300. if Iran can make an end-product it can certainly produce earlier version of SAM missiles. Those had their way to the hand of Gazans and can easily hunt an air craft flown over the nearby Negev.

It's ironic that you should be speaking of garbage. Unlike yourself, Sarah B actually adds something to this forum.

27. #12 US weapons are worse
blash ,   Jerusalem   (11.11.10)
It is a well known fact that the Lavi project was canceled in part because of US pressure - the US government didn't want Israel (or any other country) for that matter to produce better weapons than the Americans could. Are American weapons bad? No. But Israel can build better weapons. Israel's defense sector has the brainpower, the manufacturing power, and the budget to build anything it wants. The only thing holding us back is politics and the status quo.
28. #23 May you explain us, how to smuggle such a big SAM as
urbanoid ,   Lodz, Poland   (11.11.10)
S-300 to Gaza? Google it if you don't know how it looks, it's really not a MANPAD :) You'll rather find some of them in Syria but ... the Syrians already have some S-300's and IAF was still able to bomb their reactor back in 2007. And ... honor to the fallen.
29. correcting MR 22
JO ,   USA   (11.12.10)
let me add somthing to this forum may be it will benefit everyone . Muslims are allowed to attak if they are attaked and they should punish their attakers at the same level ...not more . yes our Muslims message is peace sir ,but if you are the aggressor ,then will throw it back at you with the same intensity . i think that is fair . and so far we are way behind to match your intensity (to be polite ). may be you'll sleep less stupid tonight ...and look in the Mirror for once .
30. #28 exactly, manpad
(11.12.10)
Laser guided shoulder-fired SAMs were originally developed in the late 1950s. They were used by Egyptians in the 1973 war. the French Mistral, the Russian SA-18, and the U.S. Stinger B use single or multiple detectors to produce a quasi-image of the target and also have the ability to recognize and reject flares dispensed from aircraft.
