31. Palestinian talkbacks
Korem ,   New York, USA   (11.14.10)
I'm one of those people who tries to find the good in groups of people throughout the world, including Palestinians. I'm trying very hard to maintain that attitude though, because the Palestinian responses here are the most hypocritical and disgusting talkbacks I have ever seen in my life. And I've been visiting this site for a while.
32. Where are all the Italian Jews?
ange vita ,   brooklyn, ny   (11.14.10)
Italians should be ashamed, Especially since there was a migration of Jews to Italy many times in history (BC and AD) My family came from a small Jewish town in Napoli! People should knwo history and the roots of Italians. For them to act like this is not a good sign. :(
33. this is why Israel must continue to build
Barney ,   USA   (11.14.10)
and not work for a state for these people who have given the world nothing but terror. went on a airplane this week, shoes off, belt off, jacket off, metal detector, luggage opened and inspected-all compliments of the arab world and their lust for blowing themselves and others up. isn't anybody getting it yet?
34. Everywhere muslim racists dare
Friedrich ,   Köln, Germany   (11.14.10)
this has to be combatted
35. martial arts
alexi   (11.14.10)
all israelis and jews especially the haredi and peaceniks have to take martial arts street fighting courses to deter bullies. regrettably, assaf had no help from even his dormmate. The italians like WWll are less than brave. For those who suggest a jewish palestine union, assaf's experience confirms its a non starter as jews would be at themercy of the larger number of arabs. At least in Israel, jews can fight and defend themselves though goldstone would turn the other cheek for sure. The culture of hatred against jews has been historic and is aided and abetted by jewish subservience and refusal to fight back. Assaf-take karate courses now!
36. Europe beware!
~~Lengualima~~ ,   I   (11.14.10)
The case of Malmo and this, show us how serious is the situation in Europe. When in a society the offender is treated as the innocent and the innocent as the offender, sooner rather than later this society will pay the price of his blindness. I remember clearly as the Police of Malmo took as a joke, when the Muslims breaking the law, attacked the Jewish demonstration. Will see when the attacked and injured are not Jews, but Citizens of Europa. If the police are not to interfere on the problems of Arabs and Europeans.
37. #14, you understand the difference?
Danny   (11.14.10)
between punching a person and kicking a fence right?
38. #22, so he takes it out on an unarmed Israeli
Danny   (11.14.10)
alone whilst he has other people backing him up? Or harrasses women? I am sure Assaf has lost loved ones at the hands of Arabs, if he ganged up with a group of Jews and jumped Haji when he was alone and defenceless then you'd be rushing to defend Assaf? No? Didn't think so
39. #24 and Haji never "resisted"?
Danny   (11.14.10)
40. Every Jew
BH ,   Iowa   (11.14.10)
No matter where you live must be armed and trained in self defense. Arab aggression is a can only be stopped by fighting back.
41. @24 It is Irrelevant
Sarah ,   Italy   (11.14.10)
First of all he is a human being.
42. Israeli Arab Students in Safed
Larry ,   London, England   (11.14.10)
have been attacked by a Jewish mob. Does your indignation at what was done to that Israeli student extend to what is being done to the Israeli Arab students in Safed? Yes or No!
43. Pro-Terrorists should be deported
Hinda ,   SF Bay Area   (11.14.10)
You guys voted for a terrorist organization called Ham-Ass to rule - which has been increasing the amount of honor killings two-fold. Yet you blame Israel for this - it wasn't Israel it was you and your brethren. Christians are taxed highly for protection a la mafia and you are silent over the demise of their Churches and bookshops plus the YMCA had to be closed due to being non-Islamic. Please leave Scotland and go live in a 7th century mentality. UK has enough problems.
44. Arafater Talkbacks.
Hinda ,   SF Bay Area   (11.14.10)
First Korem, it is great that you would have such an attitude, however, it will be short-lived. The Arafaters (not Palestinians as that was coined by an Egyptian terrorist with the name Arafat) most of the terrorism going around today are by those who follow the same guidelines as Arafat did. He was a terrorist and deserved death many times over. Anyone who supports his ideologies deserve the same treatment. Sad but true. I lost 3 cousins on 9-11 due to the same mindset and it wasn't Israel that celebrated but "Arafaters." Yet the world gives them anything they want. It's time for them to live and get what they deserve. No more pity, no more handouts and deportation to Saudi.
45. Re: Larry: yes or no?
fg   (11.14.10)
On my part: Yes. Meanwhile, Haji MUST be brought to justice:10-15years behind bars either in Israel or in Italy, preferably the former, minimum for attempted murder.
46. #24 seadog - and is Haji a terrorist/murderer?
yoni ,   beit shemesh, Israel   (11.14.10)
47. a micro image of the israeli arab conflict
(11.14.10)
arabs allow themselves to be as violent as they can, and no one will care until either the jew is dead or the jew fights back. macro: Hamas allows himself to throw rockets as much as they like, and no one cares until an israeli dies or israel fights back.
48. #22 So what else is new, Alaistair?
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (11.14.10)
49. #14 - when did Israelis gang up on "Palestinian" students?
William ,   Israel   (11.15.10)
I don't recall ever reading that happening in universities in Europe or the US, or even in Israel where Israeli Arabs were cursing their own, and threatening violence, for attending Ariel College. The Arab students in turn claimed the never felt any ill-feelings from Jews at Ariel College. So, please enlighten us.
50. #22 - yet Israelis attend school with Pals globally
William ,   Israel   (11.15.10)
in London, in Boston, in Paris, in Shanghai, and for sure these Israelis lost loved ones at the hands of the racist "Palestinian" terrorists. yet, there has never been a story where Israelis attacked a "Palestinian" student in the same manner. In your logic, shouldn't Americans be justified in seeking out and beating up all Saudis for 9/11?
51. #28 - that's exactly how the story will read tomorrow...
William ,   Israel   (11.15.10)
in Arab news. Good prediction.
52. I thought we desided "never again" decades ago?
Stand up for freedom ,   Finland   (11.15.10)
No matter how much (unjustified) guilt the Europe feels towards the Palestinians, all people have the right to go around their business unharrassed here. Most people like to imagine they would have been the ones to stand up for the Jews during the Holocaust, but find it all too easy to look away now that the muslims are picking up where the nazis left off. If we don't stamp out this new outbreak of facism just because it is wearing a different face than before, we'll all be very sorry before long.
53. people, come on!
(11.15.10)
no matter what nationality the person is, it is unacceptable to attack someone just because of it.
54. Thats not true
I am an italian jew ,   Italy   (11.15.10)
I am an italian jewish guy and of course i am friend with a lot of israeli students in the university of my city. That's the only time i hear about something like this and there weren't italians who attacked him. I am sorry and i feel a bit ashamed but it was a palestian guy, not italian one.
55. don't generalize
USA   (11.15.10)
nowhere in the article did it say the palestinian was a muslim (believe it or not there are christian palestinians, hell, used to be jewish palestinians too). i don't know any muslims (and i know a lot) that want to go and pick up where the nazi's left off so please don't go and group them together. this is the act of individuals, not of a religion. and you're right, we will all be sorry, but if you're gonna fight for them, then you need to fight for everybody, including the palestinians who are being killed, kicked out of their homes, humiliated, etc
56. Think before you talk guys
Jew in Genoa ,   Genoa   (11.15.10)
I am one of the israeli students here. I can tell you that all is true. This guy is doing this for years and neither the police nor the israeli embassy wanted to help. I personally called the embassya day after, their response was "We are sorry it's up to the police". Guys, don't write stuff just to write something. Think a second before you do that. Our lives here are in danger still
57. thats not true#54
eva ,   rome, Italy   (11.15.10)
The Italian students cowardly run away from fear of that gangster, barbarians. and wouldnt give testimony to the police. Shame on you!! No Italian paper mentioned it but I sent a letter to our representetiv in the Parlament Where ever the Palestinians are causing trouble. Go back to Jordan and Gaza
58. #55
Franco ,   Roma, Italia   (11.16.10)
Surely you're not familiar with the Arab names & language. "Haji" is the name which is given to muslims that have fulfilled their pilgrimage to Mekka. "Allahu akhbar" means: Allah (Arab/Muslim name for God) is the Greatest. And finally, "Yitbach al Yahood" means: slaughter the Jews. Am I now entitled to assume the attacker was a muslim?
59. to #14
e   (11.16.10)
thats a serious terrorist caught on camera there! lol thanks for presenting yet another proof of most pro-palestinians judgement inabilities
60. need more university space
jewish whale ,   haifa, israel   (11.16.10)
There is no need for Jewish students to study abroad- there should be enough space allotted to them in Israel. While I am not biased against Arabs per se, Israel should see to it that Jews are given preference to Arabs in schools..or at the very leats given the seats. Many of the Medical Faculties are packed with Arabs; many of the Hospitals have only Arab residents- where are the Jews in the Jewish State? We can prevent this type of problem by looking out for the Jews.
