I had a whole bunch of kittens meowing outside my door last night, maybe they where able to sense the earthquake that was about to happen. I gave them some cat food and went to bed. I personally did not feel the earthquake at all.

Many animals can sense earthquakes though I doubt it is psychic...but rather their hearing range may allow them to hear the rumbling, breaking and scraping of both sides of the fault deep before affecting the top part of the crust.

Here in N. Texas we learn that heavy gas drilling can sometime cause earthquake, due to shift in pressure too fast. With the gas drilling off the coast of Israel soon that could lead to a tsunami, limit amount of gas removed at first then slowing increase.
