Time is a pretty liberal magazine and certainly not pro Israel. Everybody blames Israel over the Mavi Mara affair and it wouldn't matter if the passengers had been armed with heavy machine guns the fact the soldiers used their weapons is enough to justify international condemnation. Who the hell ever hears about the fact to soldiers boarded the ship with paintball guns? Who is interested in the videos showing the passengers attacking soldiers and in some cases stealing their weapons? All that matters is some Israeli soldiers killed some of the passengers. Erdogan is the hero of course as he is the Turkish president and he had the courage to cut off diplomatic ties with Israel over it. The liberal readers of Time admire that sort of thing.
