Is this all people can think of doing - destroy ? It seems to me that destruction is now a way of life in the world.

Did you notice who was with them, Al-Jazeera TV network. It would interesting to see how this is played on their news shows. The land owned since 1934 by the Jewish settlers, before the rebirth of Israel. Yet somehow it is termed disputed land? Rarely does anybody talk about the fact that it was the Arab landowners themselves that sold this land to the Jewish settlers. Then hoped to steal it back by pushing off all the Jewish people in the war in 1948. About 10 years ago an Arab newspaper in Israel published the names of the Arab families that sold land to the Jewish settlers from the 1890's through the 1930's. Virtually every prominent Arab family was on that list. Including some distant relatives of Arafat. People often forget...conveniently I think...most of the land was sold by Arab landowners who in most cases lived outside of Palestine. They rented the land to Arabs for farming and other things, but they were in fact just renters. With some of those renters the Jewish settlers actually paid the out of state landowner and the renters, even though there was no requirement to pay renters anything.
4. No plans?
Lila ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.18.10)
"we have no claims to these fields and we do not plan on cultivating them or settling on them." Yaki, the moment you decide to abandon Eretz Yisrael, those who have no business being here at all will grab the land. So make some plans, and don't leave the Holy Land to be taken over by those who would throw out the Jewish people if they could.
5. with help of lil wind the fire can spread to pali

houses oh I am sure their hatred is over shadowed by stupidity. kinda funny.
6. Palestinian violence hasn't stopped. It's still war crimes.
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (11.18.10)
Palestinians, both Fatah and Hamas, have official policies to carry out war crimes against Israeli civilians. Palestinian policy has been and still is to attack Israeli civilians, in contravention of all international laws.
7. Kick them out
David Ha'ivri ,   Shomron   (11.18.10)
Someone needs to put a stop to this show. These provocateurs come out here for their vacation running around making fires and sending out press releases blaming the Jews. Then they go home and leave us to deal with the problems they cause.
8. arrest, charge and jail if found guilty, in solitary confine
ralph   (11.18.10)
confinement. make the penalty extremely harsh to show our disdain for such scum.
9. a solution
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (11.18.10)
The best solution is to order the army to shoot to kill agricultural terrorists. The Left will agree because according to them the Jews always attack the Arabs. The Jews will agree because the world will be rid of some anarchists.
10. Torched fields
Spencer ,   Israel   (11.18.10)
The bastards (yes, that's the right word) responsible for this torching should all be prosecuted HERE in Israel and once convicted they should receive lengthy gaol sentences to be served HERE
11. Jail the foreigners
Ronnbo ,   Canada   (11.18.10)
In Canada we first jail the arsonists, deport them later.
12. How many others?
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (11.18.10)
Mazel Tov, this time they actually caught those setting fire to the fields. How many other fields have burned and the flames attributed to "settler youth" How many Arab fields did this crew also burn? How many olive trees did they prune and blame Israels? The Arabs should be jailed, the foreigners should be jailed and never be let in Israel again. Furthermore the foreign friends of this crew should be thrown out and kept out. Israel has a right to decide who gets in. She needs to work harder at keep these trouble makers out!
13. Why aren't they prosecuted..
Jeremy ,   Michigan USA   (11.18.10)
I am very confused why they are not being prosecuted.. arson is arson.. there has got to be a law against it.. especially if it was "5 Israelis and 7 foreign nationals" ... punish them all with the proper punishment .. put the foreign nationals on a list and don't allow them back!!!!
14. Throw the anarchists in the fire!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (11.18.10)
All foreign anarchists should be jailed along with our local ones. But this arson should be stopped with deadly force by the government or the local security forces.
15. #14
Jeremy ,   Michigan USA   (11.18.10)
What is your explanation for deadly force on this post?
16. Jail the bastards, local and foreign.
Eran ,   Singapore   (11.18.10)
17. Ralph, why?
El Turco ,   Island   (11.19.10)
why not to put them in jail with the general population? I am sure they will learn a lesson they will not forget.
18. Punishment
howiej ,   NJ/USA   (11.19.10)
All 12 must be brought to trial. If found guilty they should be fined enough to pay for all they destroyed plus Israeli expenses and sentenced to jail. Upon finishing their sentences the foreigners should be deported and not allowed back in for 10 years. The Israelis should serve probation with bans on entering the area.
19. they just want to be arrested by nice looking Israelis!!!!!!

20. The Other Side
(12.02.10)
I don't want to challenge you or offend you, but this article is misinformed and badly written. I was there that day. NO political statement implied, but the journalist looked like a teenager, and there was actually no Al Jazeera presence and no arson attack. It was only a controlled fire to burn away brush and most of us there are agricultural farming students... so ... I guess read on if you want, but maybe read a more accurate paper before forming your perspective of the actual situation. In the end the police determined nothing was done wrong, and the farmers had every right to farm that land.
