1. It's official: Never will we accept "Jewish" state
Nour ,   One-State   (11.20.10)
GQR should be commended for this affirmation. The entire area of the Levant is not religiously homogenous. Modern nation-states like Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and the British mandate of Palestine have always had a religious diversity. The idea to call the Zionist state a "Jewish state" is not only racist but also historically dishonest and currently unrealistic. Above is not even mentioning the Nakba of course! The way forward is a Bi-National One-State affirming the rights of all religious communities and ethnicities - including the Palestinian refugees. It's too bad that "Israel" chose settlements post 1967 and shot down the idea of a viable, contiguous Palestinian state for Muslims and Christians. Oh well settlers nice doing business with you.
2. How can any rational person find this surprising?
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.20.10)
The fact "Palestinians" view the 'peace talks" and Two State Final Solution as a means to destroy Israel surprises only the foolish, which always includes infallibly wrong leftists. Israeli rightists have been saying this all along. P.A. TV says this every single day. "Palestinian" school texts and media says this every single day. All "Palestinian" covenants say this. So how can any rational person find this surprising? Israel needs to act on this obvious truth by ending the dangerous, fraudulent "peace talks" and clearly rejecting the evil Two State Final Solution.
3. there you have it. bookmarked for future refference...

4. In other words .......
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (11.20.10)
The establishment of an independant Palestinian state will be the beginning of a new phase of the conflict. There will be no peace. Strategically, Israel will be weaker. The Palestinian state will have two goals - undermining the Jordanian regime & the further delegitimization of the Jewish State using the Israeli Arabs as a weapon against us. This will be like the situation of pre-WWII Czechoslovakia & the Suedetenland Germans.
5. Surprise!
Salma, Palestine   (11.20.10)
6. WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?!!
Nour, One-State   (11.20.10)
7. Pals Hate Everyone
Dallas ,   Canada   (11.20.10)
What do you expect when you nurture your next generation on hatred? Never will there be a peaceful Palestinian state living alongside Israel. The best "solution" is for Israel to manage the status quo while educating the world on the Arabs' true intentions. If it's necessary to annex Judea and Samaria, perhaps retake Gaza too, so be it. An Oath of Allegiance to the Jewish state will help to weed out fifth columns. As far as the irrational anti-Israel crowd, perhaps it would be good to solicit their idea of a rational, practical solution better than this one (the present options are not options).
8. Who cares what the palestinians think?
(11.20.10)
9. NO such thing as "palestinians"!
Jordan = Fakestan   (11.20.10)
on March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview with Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. Here's what he said: The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.
10. #1 Balderdash
Dan ,   Titusville, FL   (11.20.10)
Nour do you know how foolish you sound? If we follow your thought (?) then let's build churches and synagogues in Mecca. I want to see a Hare Krishna temple where the Kabah is as that eyesore is not conducive for lovers to make out behind. Your twisted logic is why the world looks down on you and you have NEVER built anything productive.
11. Duh?
Ralph Levy ,   USA   (11.20.10)
35 years ago in university I knew a former member of the PLO who lived in my dorm. I asked him one time if we gave the Palestinians all the occupied territories would that be enough to satisfy him recognizing Israel as a country and for the Jewish people. He told me no amazing there are still people who think differently. http://ralphsrant1.blogspot.com

15. nour why have christians fled PLO state?

16. Nour
zionist forever   (11.20.10)
Thank you for admitting that NEVER WILL WE HAVE PEACE The palestinians don't want peace they want Israel piece by piece. Two states will not bring peace it will just be a new chapter in the conflict. We should have never gone along with oslo instead we should have taken all power out the hands of the palestinians given Jordan a huge financial pay off and a percentage of Judea & Samaria in exchange all palestinians would be given Jordanian citizenship. Jordan would have wiped out the PLO and the people in time would have accepted their new home is Jordan.

18. Jordan is Palestine but not all Palestine
observer   (11.20.10)
it's up to Palestinians to determine whether they wish their state to have or to not have federal union with Jordan in a Great Palestine state. Right of self determination according to the UN charter, isn't it.
19. #10
Nour ,   One State   (11.20.10)
Who said anything about Mecca? Do you know where the Levant is you illiterate?
20. a completely objective and disinterested poll
Michael ,   Haifa   (11.20.10)
a poll sponsored by The Israel Project, a Jewish-American organization......
21. #15 The PLO is not a state
Nour ,   One-State   (11.20.10)
I would actually argue the opposite. The fact that it was never allowed to become a sovereign state due to the expanding illegal settlements, and perpetual Zionist occupatin, is the prime reason behind Christian flight. Besides, please refrain from talking on behalf of our christian brothers. Go ask Hanna or the Bishop of Jerusalem about the main reasons behind Christian exodus, rather than posting silly comments. Let me guess, they are on Iran's payroll?
22. Anyone still blind on the LEFT. What do you need to be
Jae ,   Lynn US   (11.20.10)
convinced? Talk about denial. keep taking the delusion pills. Jordan is the solution. Be forceful Israel. Abdullah has a palace built on sand, pardon the pun. 78% of the land, 80% population palestinian, rulers non native from mecca, married palestinian queen- heir is palestinian ie next king in line is palestinian. JORDAN is Palestine. Have some conviction for once Jews.
23. Jordans prince is Palestinian=NEXT KING OF JORDAN WILL BE
Jae ,   Lynn US   (11.20.10)
Palestinian. You do the math. Jordan=Palestine. forget about your 8 mile wide Israel, meretz. Live in London if you dont like it. meretz-0.8 kids per family. religious 8.0 kids per family. If you insist on have suicidal borders than better for you to live elsewhere.
24. #16 Palestine is not Jordan, will never be
Nour ,   One-State   (11.20.10)
Ben Grun: If I were an Arab, I would never make peace with Israel. Why would they? We stole their country. Tell me something ZE. How does it feel to have the below myth shattered all over your face, every day? Hertzl: "A land without a people for a people without a land". Enough said!
25. :: Nour is correct
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (11.20.10)
Israel could have been a nation for the Jewish People and a 'light unto all nations' were it not for wanton belligerence, arrogance and an utter inability to define itself. Israel could have been a fully fledged nation but it has refused to define its permanent borders. No Arab/Muslim nation is going to recognize Israel as a "Jewish State" if Israel cannot even define its own borders. No other Arab/Muslim nations will be willing to make peace with Israel while it brutally oppresses millions of Arabs. The Palestinians will never give up their right of armed struggle as long as Israel continues its brutal occupation and human rights abuses. If Israel cannot even live in harmony with its immediate neighbors how can it expect to gander the respect of other nations. A One State solution will be the only resolve to decades of ambiguity, illegal settlements, an inability to make peace and the failure to define a national identity.
26. #24 Nour, some history facts
Omri ,   Israel   (11.20.10)
When the modern term of Zionism first started and the term "A land without a people for a people without a land" came to be it was only the 19th century and the land REALLY WAS ALMOST DESERTED. Arabs started coming there due to over population in their countries because their birth rate went sky high. The point is their ancestors didn't live there and Jerusalem doesn't even show in the Koran. When the Muslims kicked the crusaders out of Jerusalem Saladin (the famous Muslim General and Sultan of Egypt) called "The exile of the Jews is now officially over". Even wiki knows that. Feel free to check. Also I personally know many Arabs who disagree with you. In fact 23% don't agree with you by the poll.
27. :: Dan - #10
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (11.20.10)
Dan what you are doing is applying irrational scenarios to make a foolish argument. For example: When have Christians or Jews sought to build churches and synagogues in Mecca? They haven't and there is no impetus to do. Nobody is arguing for "churches and synagogues in Mecca" and the UN is not passing umpteen resolutions in regard to the matter. On the other hand, and as Nour points out, there is religious diversity in the Levant and no one 'religion' has 'exclusive rights' to the region as Zionists often prattle on about. Simply put Dan if you can't reply with relevant counterpoints, rather than fairytale scenarios, it is you that appears 'foolish'.
28. # 26 history fact Abram born/came from Ur,Babylonia 2 Canaan
Palestinian   (11.20.10)
29. To #1 Nur
Joshua ,   USA   (11.20.10)
It's official - you will never have a Palestinian state either! Israel will flourish as a free Jewish state with or without your acceptance! Time to think about Jordan as a Palestinian state perhaps?
30. Let all the world soak this in- weve known it for over 100
