No group has done more damage to Judaism over the past 30 years than the Haredi cult.

I have the greatest respect for many Haredim--including those I've seen removing bodies from battlefields under fire to prevent their further desecration. Zaka, Ezer M'Zion (which has a branch right down the street from me and was of great help when my mom was fighting cancer), Yad Sarah and the rest have my greatest respect, but those who run Yeshivot and claim to be the "only guardians of the true Judaim" raise my hackles when they get caught with their hands in the cookie jar. IMO, they are more criminal than seculars committing similar fraud for one reason alone--the secular makes no pretense at being a "righteous person". Unfortunately, hypocrisy isn't gonsidered a crime. BTW, tell the Haredim to stop looking on seculars with distaste and disgust solely because they are secular. My late mother-in-law, herself a deeply religious woman who did not dress as a Haredit, categorically refused to buy anything in a shop run by a Haredi on the grounds that they always had two sets of prices: one for "their people" and a higher one for the secular. Just as Bernie Madoff made many Jews feel ashamed, so should the Haredim feel ashamed of the behavior of their group members who do things like this. It's time for the Haredim to begin respecting the laws of this state the way they respect the laws of other states where they live.

I agree that those "charidim" who eventually did this are guilty TWICE , one time for violating State laws , and secondly for violating torah laws . Regarding those "volunteers" , who do a great job , would they do it , if it was not "rewarded" "ba'olam habah" as they believe ?

It is no surprise that these extreme militant hareidi scum have for years had their sticky fingers in the honey pot at the working people and taxpayers expense. Are we too apathetic and complacent to confront this worthless rabble? Where is the outrage by concerned citizens to eliminate this continuing curse on our lives?

When Olmert, Weizman and Sharon stole far more than these Haredim, the press did not scream "Extreme Leftists steal millions". A bit of a double standard, no? But I agree with you: hit them where it hurts. Stop funding all extreme-Leftist and Haredi organizations that aren't directly related to welfare.

I am Jewish, but not "haredi", Not honest people are amoung "haredi" and amoung not 'haredi". I believ, we have to be objective. Everybody, who is commiting a crime should be equaly punished, 'haredi' or not "haredi"
